The study purpose is to determine the age-related peculiarities of motor preparedness of 7th-9th grade girls of a village school. Materials and methods. The study involved 7th grade girls (n=9), 8th grade girls (n=9), 9th grade girls (n=12). The children and their parents were fully informed about all the features of the study and gave their consent to participate in the experiment. The following research methods were used to solve the tasks set: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical testing and methods of mathematical statistics for processing research results. Results. The 7th-9th grade girls show statistically significant changes in the results of the following tests: test 1 “Shuttle run 4×9 m” (t=5.108, P=0.001); test 3 “Arms’ bending and straightening in a hanging position” (t=-3.448, P=0.003); test 4 “Bent-arm hang” (t=2.216, P=0.047); test 5 “Long jump” (t=-2.161, P=0.044); test 6 “Evaluation of time parameters 5 seconds” (t=-2.639, P=0.016); test 9 “Stange’s test” (t=-4.521, P=0.001); test 10 “Genci’s test” (t=-4.662, P=0.001); test 11 “Serkin’s test 1” (t=-3.616, P=0.002), and test 12 “Serkin’s test 2” (t=-2.400, P=0.027). The 9th grade girls show the best results in tests 1, 2, 5, 6, 9-12. The 7th grade girls show the best results in test 4. Conclusions. The 7th-9th grade girls show a positive dynamics of the functional condition of respiratory and circulatory functions. The level of motor and functional preparedness of the village school 7th-9th graders is assessed as average.

The pupose of the research is to define the peculiarities of motor abilities development in male and female high schoolers. Materials and methods. To solve the tasks set, the research relies on the following methods used: analysis of scientific literature, pedagogical testing and methods of mathematical statistics of data reduction. The participants in the study were 10 boys and 14 girls of the 10th grade, 14 boys and 10 girls of the 11th grade. Conclusions. The level of motor abilities development in the 10th-11th-grade girls and the 11th-grade boys is at the sufficient level, while this level in the 10th-grade boys is average. The statistically significant difference between the 10th-grade boys and girls is observed in the following tests: assessment of time parameters of movement (error in 10 seconds), assessment of perception of strength parameters of movement (standing long jump at ½ of MAX), bending and unbending of arms in suspension, bent suspension. The boys performed better in these tests than girls. The statistically significant difference between the 11th-grade boys and girls shows in the following tests: jumping with “increases of weight”, assessment of time parameters of movement (error in 5, 10 seconds), assessment of perception of strength parameters of movement, shuttle run, bending and unbending of arms in suspension, bent suspension. The girls performed better in jumping with “increases of weight”, assessment of time parameters of movement, assessment of perception of strength parameters of movement. The correlation analysis of the indicators of motor abilities development proves that the “shuttle run” test has more connections with the other tests in case of the 10th-grade girls (3 сonnections at r > 0.6); for the 10th-grade boys such tests are “bending and unbending of arms from the lying position”, “bending and unbending of arms in suspension” (5 сonnections at r > 0.6); for the 11th‑grade girls — “bending and unbending of arms from the lying position”, “bending and unbending of arms in suspension” (3 сonnections at r > 0.6); for the 11th-grade boys — “standing long jump at 2/3 of МАХ” (10 сonnections at r > 0.6).

The main motivation for the research is a verification of applicability of the fitness test as a predictor for specific alpine skiing performance of the Czech national team of U14 and U16 categories. We want to verify if the results from the fitness test correspond with points for the performance in alpine skiing disciplines (slalom, giant slalom, super giant slalom). In total, 42 men and women (U14 and U16 categories), members of the Czech national team, participated in the research. Participants were grouped by gender (women n=21, age 14.23 (± 1.04), men n = 21, age 14.19 (± 1.07)). Fitness test consisted of six individual tests and was used as a tool to examine the level of motor abilities (jumping over the Swedish bench, shuttle run 4 × 10m, standing long jump, hurdles agility run - boomerang test, twist test, 20m shuttle run - beep test). Points for the performance in alpine skiing show the best result from a single competition transferred to the points. In our research we were looking for relationship between the points from three different disciplines (slalom, giant slalom, super giant slalom) and the results from the fitness test. In the men category we found high correlation (at the significance level of p ˂ 0.05) between super giant slalom and standing long jump (r = -0.73; r² = 0.53), between super giant slalom and boomerang test (r = 0.62, r² = 0.38) and between super giant slalom and shuttle run 4 × 10m (r = 0.61, r² = 0.37). Small correlation was found between slalom and box jump test (r = -0.31, r² = 0.1), between slalom and twist test (r = -0.33, r² = 0.11) and between super giant slalom and twist test (r = -0.34, r² = 0.12). In women category we did not found high correlation (at the sig-nificance level of p ˂ 0.05). Small correlation was found between slalom and box jump (r = -0.31, r² = 0.1), between giant slalom and twist test (r = 0.01, r² = 0.0001), between super giant slalom and standing long jump (r = -0.03, r² = 0.0009) and between slalom and shuttle run 4 × 10m (r = -0.05, r² = 0.0025). Twist test had very small correlation in both men and women categories. We can say that it is not relevant for prediction of alpine skiing per-formance. Based on different significance of correlations between men and women (super giant slalom and standing long jump; slalom/super giant slalom and shuttle run 4 × 10m) it might be necessary to adjust fitness testing as a predictor of alpine skiing performance according to a gender.

The aim of this research is to confirm differences in the anthropometric characteristics and motor abilities of schoolchildren aged 9 and 10 compared by sex and age. The sample comprised 341 schoolchildren, divided into two subgroups of third (172) and fourth (169) graders. The research is of a transversal character and includes the measurement of anthropometric characteristics and motor abilities by applying the Eurofit fitness testing battery. The results show a significant difference based on sex in terms of body mass (t = 2.148), and as for motor abilities, there is a difference in the Shuttle run test (t = -3.709). A statistically significant difference considering the age of the tested population was observed in height (t = -10.327) and body mass (Z = -5,991), while in terms of motor abilities there was a statistically significant difference in the values of all the tests: Hand tapping (t = 4.735), the Standing long jump (Z = -3,575), Shuttle run (t = 12,248), the Flexed arm hang (Z = -2,167), Sit and reach (Z = -2,406), Sit-ups in 30 seconds (t = -9069). The research shows a higher statistically significant difference observed in body composition, but also in the motor area of the studied group in terms of age, and in relation to the statistically significant difference that was revealed by gender.

Purpose — to determine patterns of functional and motor preparedness Junior classes.Material and methods. To achieve the objectives adopted the following methods: analysis of scientific literature, teacher testing and treatment methods of mathematical statistics research results. In the study involved 17 boys 8th grade, 9th grade 17 boys.Conclusions. Statistically significant differences between students of classes 8 and 9 are observed in the sample Schtange. Students in grade 9 to 11.69 s performed better than Grade 8 students (p < 0,04). For the functional state of the respiratory and circulatory students of classes 8 and 9 are rated as healthy untrained.Statistically significant differences between students of classes 8 and 9 are observed in test 8 "Height in folded hands" and test 9 "Long jump from place" (p < 0,001; p < 0,002 respectively). Students in grade 9 to 19.69 s performed better than students in the 8th grade test 8 "Height in folded hands» (p < 0,001) and 18.44 inches in test 9 "Long jump from place» (p < 0,002) . According to the results of other tests differences between mean values not statistically significant (p > 0,05).On 8 and 9 pupils most informative class (20.155%, 21.987%) has functional preparedness respiratory and cardiovascular systems.In the factorial structure takes priority functional coordination and strength training of boys 8—9 grades.

In this study, it was aimed to investigate the motor ability levels of the preschool children. The sampling of the study consisted of 46 children (22 girls, 24 boys) between the ages of 5-6. Kindergarten Mobile Test (KiMo) was used in determining the motor ability levels of the children. The test consisted of 5 subtests. These were; the shuttle run, standing long jump, one leg stand, flexibility and lateral jumping. Descriptive statistics were used to identify the average, frequency and percentage distributions regarding the motor abilities of the children. The children achieved average and below-average scores at all age groups in the shuttle run, standing long jump, one leg stand, flexibility and lateral jumping and they were incompetent in coordination, endurance and speed as basic motor abilities. As a result, it was determined that the motor abilities of the preschool children were low as of the early years. Performing activities that involve motor abilities inside and outside the school for the preschool children, who spend most of the day in narrow locations with limited movement areas, would support their healthy development in physical, mental and social terms.

Research objective. To define methodological approaches to pedagogical control of dynamics of motor and functional readiness of girls aged 15-16.Research methods. To solve the tasks set, the study used the following methods: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical testing and methods of mathematical statistics of data reduction. The testing program consisted of the commonly known tests: jumping with “increases f weight” (number of jumps in the given corridor), evaluation of time parameters of movement (error in re-creating the duration of five-second running in place), evaluation of perception of strength movement parameters (the error in re-creating the efforts is 0.5 of the maximum), shuttle run 4×9 m (s), bending and unbending of arms from the lying position (times), bending and unbending of arms in suspension (times), bent suspension (s), standing long jump (cm).Research results. The girls aged 15 show statistically significantly better readiness by the results of the tests: No. 1 “Jumping with ‘increases of weight’, times”, No. 3 “Bending and unbending of arms from the lying position, times”, No. 5 “Bent suspension, s”, and by the indicators of functional tests (p < 0.05).The most informative indicators for the routine control of the motor readiness of girls aged 15 are the following tests: “Bending and unbending of arms from the lying position” (,951), Ghencea test (,929), “Standing long jump (cm)” (,930), “Shuttle run 4×9 m, s” (,911).The most informative indicators for the routine control of the motor readiness of girls aged 16 are the following tests: Ghencea test (,945), “Bending and unbending of arms in suspension” (,883), “Bending and unbending of arms from the lying position” (,823).

The purpose of the research is to determine the main indicators of motor abilities development in the 10th-11th-grade boys. Materials and methods. To achieve the tasks set, the research relied on the following methods: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, pedagogical testing and methods of mathematical statistics. The participants in the study were 28 high-school boys (14 boys of the 10th-grade and 14 boys of the 11th-grade). Conclusions. The general level of motor readiness of the 10th-11th-grade boys is evaluated as average. The 10th-11th-grade boys showed statistically significant deviations in the tests intended to reveal their coordination abilities, relative strength and speed-strength abilities (p <0.05), which indicates a certain tendency to improve the general level of motor readiness and influence of the age-related peculiarities on the motor abilities development in high-school boys. By the level of functional readiness, the 10th-11th-grade boys belong to a group of healthy untrained boys. The informative indicators of the motor abilities development and functional readiness for the 10th-grade boys are the following tests: “Standing long jump”, “Shuttle run 4×9”, “Bending and unbending of arms from the lying position”, “Stange’s test”. For the 11th-grade boys such tests are “Standing long jump without visual control with efforts 2/3, error %”, “Evaluation of movement time parameters (5 s running)”, “Bent suspension”, and “Stange’s test”.

This study aims to explore the use of video in English language teaching (ELT) elementary school (grades 8 to 9)... In addition, the thesis aims to find out how videos in English lessons helped to achieve the goals of English curriculum. The main hypothesis was that teaching with video would develop pupils’ communicative skills and, therefore, was appropriate for the communicative approach to ELT. The study addressed five research questions regarding the use of videos in English lessons in the case study school: why the teachers used videos in ELT, what kinds of videos were used in English lessons, how and how often videos were used, what was taught and learned through the use of videos and, finally, what the teachers’ and pupils’ attitudes to lessons with videos were. The research was performed as a case study at an Elbasan elementary school. The data for the research was obtained through the use of mixed methods: qualitative, in the form of interviews with four English teachers and observations of three of the interviewed teachers’ lessons with videos, and quantitative, in the form of a pupil questionnaire answered by 105 pupils from two 8th grade and two 9th grade classes.

Abstract This study presents the evaluation of chosen anthropometric and motor parameters in group of female junior competitors throughout the course of 2-year preparation of aerobic gymnastics by means of Z-scores. The observed group consisted of 12 girls (average age at the beginning of observance 14.08 ± 1.19 years). Evaluation of anthropometric (body height, body weight, body mass index, percentage of body fat, acting body weight) and motor parameters (sit-ups in 30 seconds and 60 seconds, pull-ups to bar, modified push-ups, standing long jump, backwards tandem walking, shuttle run 4×10 m, Jacík’s test) was carried out in standard conditions in nine girls at 3-month intervals. It has been confirmed that female probands with higher Z-score of motor parameters together with lower Z-score of anthropometric parameters achieved higher sport performance during the 2-year observance at competitions, with an exception of one such proband.
