This study determined the health and wellness program and new normal lifestyle of faculty performance of Cavite State University (CvSU). Specifically, the study sought answers to the following questions: What is the demographic profile of CvSU faculty in terms of; age; gender; sex; position; years in service? What is the level of health and wellness awareness programs of the in terms of: stress management; smoking cessation programs; health screening; exercise program activities; nutrition education? What is the new normal lifestyle of the professor of the Cavite state university in terms of; physical distancing; frequent hand sanitation; Wearing of face mask and face shield? What is the level of faculty performance in terms of teaching new normal lifestyle of CvSU faculty in terms of; teacher’s performance (2019-2020) teaching effectiveness? Is the demographic profile has a significant effect on the faculty effectiveness performance? Is the health and wellness awareness program has a significant effect in the new normal new normal lifestyle of the faculty of CVSU? In order to conduct this study, letters was sent to the University President Dr. Hernando D. Robles, asking permission and approval to conduct the study. Permission from the university Dean for each department. Preparation of self-made questionnaire by the researcher followed in order to obtain the necessary data on the health and wellness awareness programs to the new normal lifestyle of Cavite State University (CvSU) faculty and their performance. The respondents of the study included approximately fifty (50) Faculty of Cavite State University in any field of specialization. The research made questionnaires were checked by the thesis consultants. The copies were then converted and sent through google form, considering the health protocols. The study utilized a descriptive design. The main source of data which was prepared by the researcher, used a simple descriptive statistics such as T-test formula and the weighted mean to determine the mean level of the health and wellness program to the new normal lifestyle of the respondents. The gathered information were automatically transferred into spreadsheets by google form and were given to the researcher’s statistician for the treatment and analysis. The gathered data were interpreted and presented into matrix form and appropriate interpretation was made. The result showed that there is a partial significant effect of health and wellness program on the new normal lifestyle of CvSU faculty and their performance, and therefore the null hypothesis stating that there is no significant effect is partially rejected, it can be inferred that there is a significant effect between them. Students’ feedback on faculty performance is an influential measure in obtaining the objectives of teaching effectiveness. Southern Leyte State University-Tomas Oppus usually experiences student evaluation reactions on faculty performance. Considering that success of the evaluation process is the instrument itself, this research dealt with students’ degree program profile and academic performance; determined their opinion on the criteria’s appropriateness and the instrument’s validity, reliability, objectivity, and utility and their attitude upon it; and, determined relationship between academic performance and degree program on opinions of the four criteria. Through the descriptive one shot survey, stratified sampling was employed to college freshmen, juniors and seniors with different courses of SY 2010-2011. The mean, percentage, frequency, and chisquare were used. The students’ opinion on the appropriateness of the criteria was very appropriate and very high on the four criteria. They manifested positive attitude on the instrument. Their academic performance and degree program have no significant relationship with their opinion on the instrument. Student’s opinion of the evaluation instrument was very appropriate, yet, it has to be revisited because some items, though minimal, were moderately appropriate. Keywords - Performance Evaluation Instrument, Southern Leyte State University-Tomas Oppus

This study investigates the performance of College of Business Management and Accountancy (CBMA) Faculty of Eastern Samar State University (ESSU). Specifically, this examines the performance of faculty in the area of instruction as perceived by the supervisors, faculty themselves, and some randomly selected students. Descriptive and comparative method were used to achieve the goal of this study. It was found out that that performance of the faculty is exceptional. However the respondents’ rating varies significantly thereby concluding that perception of raters is a factor. Grounded on the result that students rating and supervisors rating are lower than the faculty self-rating, it was recommended through the CBMA Dean to inform the faculty in any best means to exert more effort to eliminate the gap in their perceptions. A new field emission scanning transmission electron microscope has been constructed for the NSF HREM facility at Arizona State University. The microscope is to be used for studies of surfaces, and incorporates several surface-related features, including provision for analysis of secondary and Auger electrons; these electrons are collected through the objective lens from either side of the sample, using the parallelizing action of the magnetic field. This collimates all the low energy electrons, which spiral in the high magnetic field. Given an initial field Bi∼1T, and a final (parallelizing) field Bf∼0.01T, all electrons emerge into a cone of semi-angle θf≤6°. The main practical problem in the way of using this well collimated beam of low energy (0-2keV) electrons is that it is travelling along the path of the (100keV) probing electron beam. To collect and analyze them, they must be deflected off the beam path with minimal effect on the probe position.

Bovine respiratory diseases cause serious economic loses and present diagnostic difficulties due to the variety of etiologic agents, predisposing conditions, parasites, viruses, bacteria and mycoplasma, and may be multiple or complicated. Several agents which have been isolated from the abnormal lungs are still the subject of controversy and uncertainty. These include adenoviruses, rhinoviruses, syncytial viruses, herpesviruses, picornaviruses, mycoplasma, chlamydiae and Haemophilus somnus.Previously, we have studied four typical cases of bovine pneumonia obtained from the Michigan State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory to elucidate this complex syndrome by electron microscopy. More recently, additional cases examined reveal electron opaque immune deposits which were demonstrable on the alveolar capillary walls, laminae of alveolar capillaries, subenthothelium and interstitium in four out of 10 cases. In other tissue collected, unlike other previous studies, bacterial organisms have been found in association with acute suppurative bronchopneumonia.

The development of a scanning electron microscope (SEM) suitable for instructional purposes has created a large number of outreach opportunities for the Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) Department at Iowa State University. Several collaborative efforts are presently underway with local schools and the Department of Curriculum and Instruction (C&I) at ISU to bring SEM technology into the classroom in a near live-time, interactive manner. The SEM laboratory is shown in Figure 1.Interactions between the laboratory and the classroom use inexpensive digital cameras and shareware called CU-SeeMe, Figure 2. Developed by Cornell University and available over the internet, CUSeeMe provides inexpensive video conferencing capabilities. The software allows video and audio signals from Quikcam™ cameras to be sent and received between computers. A reflector site has been established in the MSE department that allows eight different computers to be interconnected simultaneously. This arrangement allows us to demonstrate SEM principles in the classroom. An Apple Macintosh has been configured to allow the SEM image to be seen using CU-SeeMe.

The Materials Science Department at Iowa State University has developed a laboratory designed to improve instruction in the use of the scanning electron microscope (SEM). The laboratory makes use of a computer network and a series of remote workstations in a classroom setting to provide students with increased hands-on access to the SEM. The laboratory has also been equipped such that distance learning via the internet can be achieved.A view of the laboratory is shown in Figure 1. The laboratory consists of a JEOL 6100 SEM, a Macintosh Quadra computer that acts as a server for the network and controls the energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS), four Macintosh computers that act as remote workstations, and a fifth Macintosh that acts as an internet server. A schematic layout of the classroom is shown in Figure 2. The workstations are connected directly to the SEM to allow joystick and computer control of the microscope. An ethernet connection between the Quadra and the workstations allows students seated there to operate the EDS. Control of the microscope and joystick is passed between the workstations by a switch-box assembly that resides at the microscope console. When the switch-box assembly is activated a direct serial line is established between the specified workstation and the microscope via the SEM’s RS-232.

Purpose To effectively prepare students to engage in interprofessional practice, a number of Communication Disorders (COMD) programs are designing new courses and creating additional opportunities to develop the interprofessional competencies that will support future student success in health and education-related fields. The ECHO (Educational Community Health Outreach) program is one example of how the Rongxiang Xu College of Health and Human Services at California State University, Los Angeles, has begun to create these opportunities. The ultimate goal of the ECHO project is to increase both access to and continuity of oral health care across communities in the greater Los Angeles area. Method We describe this innovative interdisciplinary training program within the context of current interprofessional education models. First, we describe the program and its development. Second, we describe how COMD students benefit from the training program. Third, we examine how students from other disciplines experience benefits related to interprofessional education and COMD. Fourth, we provide reflections and insights from COMD faculty who participated in the project. Conclusions The ECHO program has great potential for continuing to build innovative clinical training opportunities for students with the inclusion of Child and Family Studies, Public Health, Nursing, and Nutrition departments. These partnerships push beyond the norm of disciplines often used in collaborative efforts in Communication Sciences and Disorders. Additionally, the training students received with ECHO incorporates not only interprofessional education but also relevant and important aspects of diversity and inclusion, as well as strengths-based practices.
