In the last twenty years, higher education policies have become increasingly important national priorities in both the developed and the developing countries. According to the endogenous growth theory, higher education and thereby accumulation of human capital is considered to be the main driver of economic competitiveness in the growing global economy founded on knowledge. Thus, as education is undoubtedly one of the main drivers of economic growth and development, an increase in the real expenditures for education is found in many countries. All this is especially evident in times of rapid technological changes. The interest of this paper is to show the relationship between GDP and public spending on education by applying the method of panel data analysis on the selected EU Member States and former Soviet Union Countries for the period 2000 – 2011. The results of the analysis showed that public expenditure for education, as well the size of the tertiary educated workforce and the number of researchers have a positive impact on GDP growth.

This paper discusses the hypothesis that democracy hurts economic growth and development, also known as the Lee thesis, and discusses why one could expect dictatorship to be particularly beneficial for growth in the Asian context. Three general theoretical arguments in support of the Lee thesis are then presented. However, the empirical results, based on panel data analysis on more than 20 Asian countries, do not support the hypothesis that dictatorship increases economic growth in Asia. There is no significant, average effect of democracy on growth. Asian dictatorships do invest a larger fraction of their GDP than democracies, but they are worse at generating high enrollment ratios in education after primary school.

Economic growth of any counties had positive and negative impact. A positive impact is an increase in national income and negatif impact are inequility of personal income distribution and development disparities. Economic growth in province of South Sumatera also had that impact. The purposes of this research is to prove empirically relationship and patterns of linkages between economic growth and development disparities. The data that used is secondary data obtained from Central Statistic Agency in the form of economic growth rates, gross regional domestic product per capita and total population of the province of South Sumatera during the period 2010-2017. The analysis use with Williamson Index to measure development disparities and Pearson Correlation to find out the relationship between economic growth and development disparities and to prove Kuznets hypothesis. The result of this analysis are : (1)development disparities in the province of South Sumatera during the period 2010-2017 , including height indicated by the Williamson Index more than 0,5. (2) Pearson Correlation is -0,253 show that there is a negatif relationship between economic growth and development disparities and this proved that the Kuznets hypothesis (curve U-Reserved) also occur happen in this province. It means, that economic growth is inversely proportional to development disparities.(3) R Square is 0,064 , means the effect ofeconomic growth on development disparities is 6% and 94% influenced by other factors

Monetary policy is a measure which is decided by the Apex bank to regulate currency supply and credit control in the Indian economy where as gross domestic product (GDP) is an indicator of growth and development of the economy. Monetary policy and its components i.e. CRR, SLR, BR, RR, RRR and MSF (Marginal Standing Facility) have impact on the inflation, credit supply in market and GDP of the country. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of various financial components of monetary policy on the GDP, which is an index of economic growth and development of the economy. It has been observed during the study that monetary policy of the nation has positive impact on the GDP by applying the various tools and techniques with the help of Econometrics. In this study, GDP is used as dependent variable while components of monetary policy are used as independent variable to examine the impact.

The argument of this chapter is that tourism education can generate a positive impact on the economic growth of a country by fostering a link between education and work, including economic development. A review of the literature based on the use of bibliometric techniques is performed, but quantification of the work is not conducted; however, Web of Science and Scopus, among other databases, are consulted in relation to economic growth, economic development, human capital and tourism education. All this around the theoretical economic and sociological framework that sustains this work.

Developments and rapid changes in the international community, moving from traditional society to the information society, as well as changing the national economy to the global economy, require different solutions to enable economic growth and development in society. In fact, entrepreneurship, which is the concept of the discovery and exploitation of opportunities for value creation in the various sectors, is the basis for an all-round development. For this reason, to develop the countries pay special attention to the entrepreneurship is very important. So, this study is trying to investigate the effects of entrepreneurship and education on economic growth in 25 selected countries using the panel-data method in the period of 2001 to 2015. The results show that entrepreneurship and education have positive effects on economic growth, so that by increasing one percent of each variable, respectively, economic growth will increase by 0.41 and 0.21 percent. Entrepreneurship has been considered a significant factor for socio-economic growth and development, and there has been a significant growth in the education on entrepreneurship in the world. The present study provides the experiences of different actors on the implementation of a psychological assistance program to new entrepreneurs in a university business incubator as well as its impact on them. The findings suggest that this program, in its time the first or one of the first of its kind as far as the literature review suggested, had a positive impact, gives entrepreneurs a space to reflect, motivation and perseverance, allows them to see themselves as integral and thus help to improve the chances of success of the startup by learning key psychological entrepreneurial competencies.
