abstract: this research were aimed (1) to analyze how large is the production cost which has been settled by farmers at pig farming company at tomohon regency, (2) to analyze how much profit obtained by the farmers, and (3), to analyze the breakeven point in this business. this research was using survey method by case study approached at 3 farms, owned by mr. jemmy eman (cv. anugerah), mr. ronald kalalo (ud. prima) and mr. piyau gerungai (ud. century).  data analysis model were using descriptive analytical approach and mathematical approach in particular with analysis of production cost and profit, and breakeven point analysis. it could be concluded  that  (1)  the use of production cost at cv. anugerah, ud. prima and ud. century pig farm companies at tomohon regency per period of production per year were efficient, as proved by the return of investment (roi) value  gained at each farm which gives level of profit. Cost, Benefit, Pig Farm

The purpose of this study was to determine the type of work and division of labor in the household-scale pig farm business and how much income was earned and generated by each male, adult female and child labor as a case study in the Manokwari coastal agroecological area Papua Barat. The method used is descriptive research method with survey techniques through interviews and field observations. The sample of farmers chosen purposively was 35 households out of 50 pig breeder. Farmers selected as samples are those who have been running pigs for more than 1 year. The parameters measured are labor involvement and contribution of economic beneficiaries. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, namely analysis of variance with further testing Scheffe using SPSS v.16.0. The results showed that the types of work carried out by domestic workers included processing and providing [A4] food, medicine and sanitation, selling live cattle on the market and selling carcasses. Female breeders have almost the same level of participation as men. In terms of working hours, women give higher time (521 hours/month) in 6 pig raising activities. Female workers contribute higher incomes than male workers.

A case of a biogas project built in a large-scale pig farm in Beijing was studied in this paper. The financial evaluation of its economic benefits was calculated by cost benefit analysis. The biogas project can bring about good environmental and social benefit. However, there is little economic attractive without financial subsidy for higher investment of biogas project. When the rate of financial subsidy from government on biogas project is above 73%, the recovery period of investment is shorter than 5 years. It makes a biogas project better economic attractive. The subsidy rate for biogas engineering case was up to 80%. Its recovery period was 4 years, and cumulative net profits 3.02 million RMB, which showed a strong economic attractive.
