Here we describe a rare clinical case of female with a history of surgical sterilization coupled to ectopic pregnancy in the fallopian tube stump, comprising on average 1.19 % of total ectopic pregnancies. The patient E. was admitted to the gynecological department complaining of aching pain in the lower left abdominal quadrant, blood discharge from the genital tract, and delayed menstruation. Due to a previous operation for sterilization, no onset of pregnancy was expected. A positive urinary test for human chorionic gonadotropin was obtained, whereas ultrasound examination did not reliably confirm the onset of pregnancy. However, taking into account the ultrasound signs of the hematoperitoneum, a culdocentesis was performed that revealed dark liquid non-clotting blood. Laparoscopic surgery was performed on emergency indications. Intraoperatively: the stump of the left fallopian tube was dilated, cyanotic, and blood was leaking from the fimbria lend. Bilateral excision of fallopian tube stumps was performed. The primary clinical diagnosis was interrupted left-sided tubal pregnancy (in the fallopian tube stump) that was confirmed by pathomorphological examination. Thus, the clinical case described by us demonstrates properly conducted differential diagnostics as well as timely management and therapeutic interventions. Hence, previous surgical sterilization recorded in patient history should not rule out a diagnosis of ectopic pregnancy.

Benign solid tumors of the fallopian tubes are extremely rare and often difficult to differentiate from tumors associated with adjacent organs or from various inflammatory diseases. Here, we present a patient who was diagnosed with ectopic pregnancy, based on preoperative tests and intraoperative macroscopic findings, but was later diagnosed with a fallopian tube adenofibroma, based on histopathological evidence, and intrauterine pregnancy. Although initial pregnancy test results were positive, no gestational sac (GS) was seen in the uterus and the patient was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy and underwent emergency laparoscopic surgery. A 20-mm, fetus-like solid mass was noted inside the GS-like cystic tumor of the left fallopian tube. From histopathological findings, the lesion was identified as a serous fallopian tube adenofibroma. The baby was born healthy with no problems. This case report suggests that fallopian tube adenofibroma should be considered in the differential diagnosis of suspected ectopic pregnancies.

Tubal pregnancy concerns 97% of all ectopic pregnancies. Treatment can be either surgical (salpingostomy or salpingectomy) or medical (methotrexate administration). We present a case of a pseudotubal pregnancy after methotrexate treatment of a previous ectopic pregnancy. A37-year-old woman was diagnosed with ectopic pregnancy in the left Fallopian tube. A year ago, she had an ectopic pregnancy in the right tube, which was successfully treated with intramuscular methotrexate. During laparoscopy, two tubal masses were revealed, one in each Fallopian tube, and bilateral salpingectomy was performed. Histological analysis confirmed tubal pregnancy in the left Fallopian tube and presence of endosalpingitis in the right tube with no signs of chorionic villi. The optimal management of such cases has not yet been clarified. However, evaluation of tubal patency after a medically treated ectopic pregnancy would permit proper counsel of the patient on her fertility options, in order to choose the appropriate method of conception to achieve and accomplish a future pregnancy.

Salpingitis isthmica nodosa (SIN) is the nodular swelling or diverticulum of the isthmus of the fallopian tube. It is most commonly identified when investigating female infertility or in association with ruptured ectopic pregnancies. We experienced a rare and atypical presentation of SIN. A 33-year-old woman presented with a 1-hour history of acute lower abdominal pain associated with nausea and vomiting. CT and pelvic ultrasound revealed haemoperitoneum with no radiological evidence for its aetiology. Initial beta-human chorionic gonadotropin excluded ectopic pregnancy. A diagnostic laparoscopy was performed following clinical deterioration of the patient. Active bleeding of the right fallopian tube was identified and managed with a right partial salpingectomy, with subsequent histopathology revealing ruptured SIN. There have been no reported cases of SIN being a primary cause for an acute abdomen or haemoperitoneum in the absence of an ectopic pregnancy, making this case a surgical novelty.

Background: Ectopic pregnancy mainly refers to tubal pregnancy and abdominal pregnancy. Tubal pregnancy presents as an implanted embryo that develops in the fallopian tubes, and is relatively common in humans. In animals, tubal pregnancy occurs primarily in primates, for example monkeys. The probability of a tubal pregnancy in non-primate animals is extremely low. Abdominal pregnancy is a type of ectopic pregnancy that occurs outside of the uterus, fallopian tube, ovary, and ligament(broad ligament, ovarian ligament, suspensory ligament).This paper describes two cases of ectopic pregnancy in cats.Cases: Cat 1. The presenting sign was a significant increase in abdominal circumference. The age and immune and sterilization status of the cat were unknown. On palpation, a 4 cm, rough, oval-shaped, hard mass was found in the posterior abdomen. Radiographic examination showed three high-density images in the posterior abdomen. The fetus was significantlycalcified and some feces was evident in the colon. The condition was preliminarily diagnosed as ectopic pregnancy. Cat 2. The owner of a 2-year-old British shorthair cat visited us because of a hard lump in the cat’s abdomen. The cat had a normal diet and was drinking normally. Routine immunization and insect repulsion had been implemented. The cat had naturally delivered five healthy kittens two months previous. Radiographs showed an oval-shaped mass with a clear edge in the middle abdominal cavity. Other examinations were normal. The case was preliminarily diagnosed as ectopic pregnancy, and the pregnancy was surgically terminated. The ectopic pregnancies were surgically terminated. During surgery, the structures of the uterus and ovary of cat 1 were found to be intact and the organs were in a normal physiological position.Cat 1 was diagnosed with primary abdominal pregnancy. In cat 2, the uterus left side was small and the fallopian tube on the same side was both enlarged and longer than normal. Immature fetuses were found in the gestational sac. Thus, cat 2 was diagnosed with tubal ectopic pregnancy based on the presenting pathology.Discussion: Cats with ectopic pregnancies generally show no obvious clinical symptoms. The ectopic fetus can remain within the body for several months or even years. Occasionally, necrotic ectopic tissues or mechanical stimulation of the ectopic fetus can lead to a systemic inflammatory response, loss of appetite, and apathy. The two cats in our reportshowed no significant clinical symptoms. To our knowledge, there have been no previous reports of the development of an ectopic fetus to maturity, within the abdominal cavity of felines, because the placenta of cats cannot support the growth and development of the fetus outside of the uterus. Secondary abdominal ectopic pregnancy, lacking any signs of uterine rupture is likely associated with the strong regenerative ability of uterine muscles. A damaged uterus or fallopian tube can quickly recover and rarely leaves scar tissue. In the present report, cat 1 showed no apparent scar tissue, nor signs of a ruptured ovary or fallopian tubes. It was diagnosed with primary ectopic abdominal pregnancy, which could arise from the descent of the fertilized egg from the fallopian tube into the abdominal cavity. There was an abnormal protrusion in left of the fallopian tubes in cat 2, to which the gestational sac was directly connected. Based on pathological examination of the uterus, fallopian tubes, and gestational sac, the cat was diagnosed with a tubal pregnancy. Placental tissues and signs of fetal calcification were observed in both the fallopian tube and gestational sac.Keywords: tubal pregnancy, abdominal pregnancy, feline, ectopic fetus, fallopian tube, gestational sac.

Background. Retroperitoneal ectopic pregnancy is extremely rare. This unusual location represents a great challenge for clinicians due to the difficulties of diagnosis and high risk of life-threatening complications. Case Report. We report the case of a spontaneous early pregnancy of undetermined location in a patient with a history of previous laparoscopic surgery. Diagnosis steps using clinical examination, ultrasound, and magnetic resonance imaging led to the localization of the pregnancy, in the left side of the para-aortic region, in the retroperitoneal space. Conclusion. Retroperitoneal ectopic pregnancy is an uncommon entity with rather complex pathogenesis. Clinicians should carefully interpret clinical signs, biological findings, and imaging features and be aware of unusual locations such as the retroperitoneum for ectopic pregnancies. Early diagnosis and appropriate management strategy are conditio sine qua non for successful treatment outcomes.

Background. The incidence of unilateral twin ectopic pregnancy is a rare condition. Several factors increase the risk of ectopic pregnancy, the most important of which is pelvic inflammatory disease, followed by operative trauma, congenital anomalies, tumors, and adhesions resulting in anatomically distorted fallopian tubes. We present a case of a woman with a history of four confirmed sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including Chlamydia trachomatis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, herpes simplex virus 2, and Treponema pallidum. The case illustrates the potential impact of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) on the risk of a twin ectopic pregnancy. Case. A 24-year-old primigravida, presented with an unknown last menstrual period, lower abdominal pain, watery vaginal discharge, and vaginal spotting. During this hospitalization, serumβ-HCG testing was 263 mIU/mL and transvaginal ultrasonographic examination suggested a nonviable unilateral twin ectopic pregnancy. At exploratory laparotomy, a 10 cm mass involving the right fallopian tube and ovary was excised. Pathological evaluation of the specimen identified a monochorionic, diamnionic twin ectopic pregnancy within the fallopian tube. Conclusions Patients with a history of multiple (STIs) are known to be at risk for the development of chronic pelvic infection and postinflammatory scarring. The resulting distortion of the normal tubal anatomy leads to an increased risk of an uncommon presentation of ectopic pregnancy.

Rupture of the uterus, or a violation of the integrity of its walls, is a severe manifestation of obstetric injury. The decrease in the frequency of uterine ruptures due to mechanical causes, careless obstetric interventions gave way to histopathic organ ruptures due to cesarean section surgery, conservative myomectomy, tubectomy. This publication presents a clinical case of the onset of rupture due to the failure of the suture on the uterus after an ectopic pregnancy in the interstitial section of the fallopian tube, diagnosed at 33 weeks of gestation and culminating in a newborn weighing 2 176 grams, 46 cm long in severe asphyxiation. The case presented is a rare severe obstetric pathology with a high risk of maternal and infant mortality.

Ectopic pregnancy (EP) is a rare and severe complication of assisted reproductive techniques (ART). A specific feature of EP after ART is a high frequency of rare atypical forms of EP, the absence of a specific clinical picture and a high probability of recurrent EP, which makes certain difficulties in terms of diagnosis. Interstitial pregnancies occur in 1–6% of all ectopic pregnancies and in 7.3% cases of EB which were the results of in vitro fertilization programs (IVF). The anatomical features of the blood supply in the intramural segment of the fallopian tube provide favorable conditions for the progression of pregnancy on the average up to 10 weeks of gestation, simulating the intra-uterine pregnancy. Chorionic villi, growing into the thickness of the myometrium, create a high risk of profuse intra-abdominal bleeding. The article presents a clinical case of a rare form of ectopic pregnancy in the interstitial segment of the fallopian tube after IVF. The patient had previously undergone a bilateral salpingectomy by tubal pregnancies. This clinical example shows the meaning of precise diagnosis and timely provision of highly qualified specialized medical care.

We report a 35-year-old female patient with a history of bilateral salpingectomy from ectopic pregnancies presenting with a positive serum beta-human chorionic gonadotropin (bhCG) result following in vitro fertilisation (IVF) treatment. Apart from per vaginal spotting, she remained asymptomatic. Initial ultrasound showed an empty uterus with a cystic mass on the right side of the uterus. Serum beta-hCG was trended. A follow-up pelvic ultrasound 1 week later showed a live pregnancy in the right adnexa. A diagnostic laparoscopy was performed, which revealed an unruptured right stump ectopic pregnancy that was successfully removed. As a stump ectopic pregnancy can be a potentially life-threatening occurrence, we emphasise caution with salpingectomy and the consideration of tubal stump ectopic pregnancies following IVF treatment.

Heterotopic pregnancy is coexistence of intrauterine and extrauterine pregnancies that is ectopic pregnancies. It is said to be rare. Here we report a case of 27 years old woman with heterotopic pregnancy. Patient had a typical presentation of severe lower abdominal pain following amenorrhoea for 2½ months. On clinical examination, there was suspicion of ectopic pregnancy but ultrasonography revealed early intrauterine pregnancy along with right tubal pregnancy with huge collection in abdomen .
