Expanding advanced innovation has revolutionized the life of individuals. In this digital world many countries are trying to initiate an E-voting system in regular election process. Researchers are looking forward for the innovative ideas for secure and user friendly system. Block chain is one of the novel concepts that come with number of features to develop E-services. By embracing block chain in the circulation of databases on e-casting ballot frameworks, one can decrease the duping wellsprings of database control. This venture intends to execute casting a ballot result utilizing block chain calculation from each place of decision. In proposed system we have chosen Block chain for its decentralized framework and Here in security and data integrity is mainly achieved by making use of Visual Cryptography (VC) concept. This VC technique comes in when user casts vote on an E-voting portal.

Abstract: In this paper a new authentication technique is discussed i-e; facial recognition verification for online voting system. It aims to develop a computerized voting system to make the election process more secure and user friendly. The electorate want to visit distinct locations like polling cubicles and stand in an extended queue to cast their vote, because of such reasons most of the people skip their chance of voting. The voter who isn't eligible also can forged its vote via way of means of faux way which can also additionally cause many problems. That's why in this project we have proposed a system or way for voting which is very effective or useful in voting. This system can also save money of the government which is spent in the election process. Overall this project is being developed to help staff of election commission of India and also reduce the human efforts. Keywords: Online Voting, Biometric Authentication, Security System.

AbstractSmartphone microscopes can be useful tools for a broad range of imaging applications. This manuscript demonstrates the first practical implementation of Microscopy with Ultraviolet Surface Excitation (MUSE) in a compact smartphone microscope called Pocket MUSE, resulting in a remarkably effective design. Fabricated with parts from consumer electronics that are readily available at low cost, the small optical module attaches directly over the rear lens in a smartphone. It enables high-quality multichannel fluorescence microscopy with submicron resolution over a 10× equivalent field of view. In addition to the novel optical configuration, Pocket MUSE is compatible with a series of simple, portable, and user-friendly sample preparation strategies that can be directly implemented for various microscopy applications for point-of-care diagnostics, at-home health monitoring, plant biology, STEM education, environmental studies, etc.

PurposeTo identify the factors that influence adoption of e‐voting services by citizens between the ages of 18‐24.Design/methodology/approachThis study uses Carter and Belanger's (2005) model of e‐government adoption to assess young voters' intention to use an online voting system. The study integrates constructs from technology acceptance, diffusion of innovation, and web trust models. A survey is administered to 208 young voters. The data is analyzed using multiple regression analysis.FindingsResults indicate that user perceptions of compatibility, usefulness, and trust significantly impact their intention to use an electronic‐voting system. The model explains 76 percent of the variance in young voters' intention to use an e‐voting system.Research limitations/implicationsThe study only explores the perceptions of one age group. Future studies could use the model to access adoption perceptions of a more diverse pool of citizens.Practical implicationsGovernment agencies should emphasize the benefits of this electronic service to young voters. If marketed properly, the convenience and compatibility of e‐voting may be influential enough to motivate this normally apathetic demographic to participate in the election process.Originality/valueThis study explores adoption of internet voting by young citizens. An understanding of the factors that influence this demographics' intention to use e‐voting systems can be used to increase voter participation. The findings of this study also lay the foundation for future studies on e‐voting adoption.

The election process adopted in Nigeria is mostly paper based or manual. This manually handled process can be time-consuming, and prone to security breaches and electoral fraud. Consequently, this work proposes a biometrically authenticated voting system to provide inexpensive solution to the electoral process in Nigeria. In particular, the biometric database is constructed by filling it with the audio fingerprints and the associated metadata of many audio clips, and then the fingerprint of an unknown clip (or the distorted version of the clip brought by compression or standard audio processing) is extracted and compared to that of the clip in the database. If the fingerprint of the unknown clip is in the database, it will be correctly identified by the matching procedures. The project is implemented with biometric system i.e. fingerprint scanning and facial recognition. Accordingly, this is used to ensure enhanced security, and to avoid fake, repeated voting. Results obtained showed that the proposed system is fast, accurate, reliable, and cost effective, thus a viable option to replace the manual voting process. AbstractBackgroundExploration and processing of FASTQ files are the first steps in state-of-the-art data analysis workflows of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) platforms. The large amount of data generated by these technologies has put a challenge in terms of rapid analysis and visualization of sequencing information. Recent integration of the R data analysis platform with web visual frameworks has stimulated the development of user-friendly, powerful, and dynamic NGS data analysis applications.ResultsThis paper presents FastqCleaner, a Bioconductor visual application for both quality-control (QC) and pre-processing of FASTQ files. The interface shows diagnostic information for the input and output data and allows to select a series of filtering and trimming operations in an interactive framework. FastqCleaner combines the technology of Bioconductor for NGS data analysis with the data visualization advantages of a web environment.ConclusionsFastqCleaner is an user-friendly, offline-capable tool that enables access to advanced Bioconductor infrastructure. The novel concept of a Bioconductor interactive application that can be used without the need for programming skills, makes FastqCleaner a valuable resource for NGS data analysis.
