Information technologies have proliferated at an unprecedented rate to provide access to information across geographical boundaries. However, this proliferation has led to an information overload. Information overload has adverse impacts on information use and decision quality. This research focuses on the overload problem resulting from a web search, and proposes a potential remedy. We develop the requirements of a system that makes use of clustering and visualization for browsing the results of a typical web search. Based on this model, we develop a prototype that visualizes search results by first organizing them into a hierarchy according to their individual contents. This system presents a visual overview of the groups in this hierarchy, and lets the users focus (zoom) on specific groups of interest. One general problem with zooming within hierarchical structures is the separation between the details and the context. To address this problem, we implement a fisheye zooming capability in our system. This paper describes a typology of the various components necessary for addressing the problem and then the proposed solution based upon a fisheye view-based visualization. Next, the specific visualization algorithm and the system implementation are described. We conclude with research questions for further development of such interfaces for presentation of the results from web searches.<br>

This paper shows the development of a web environment for the construction of Archimedes and Plato polyhedra in Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR). In this environment we used the geometric transformations of translation and rotation with the structure of hierarchies of HTML pages, without the use of the coordinates of each polyhedra vertex. The developed environment can be used in classroom to visualize the polyhedra in Augmented Reality, with the possibility of manipulations of the graphical representations by students in the environment created in Virtual Reality. Other studies that can be developed with the polyhedra modeled are areas, volumes and the relation of Euler. Another important content that can be developed is truncation, because seven Archimedes polyhedra are obtained by using truncation of Plato's polyhedrons. With this work, it becomes possible to develop didactic materials with a simple technology, free and with great contribution to improvement of the teaching of Geometry and other areas that use representation of 3D objects.

The article deals with the problem of assessing the effect of managing a library web-site. The purpose of the article is to identify indicators of effective website management. It has been established that the result of website management can be expressed by several effects at once: social, technological, managerial, economic. The analytical basis for assessing indicators is the data of web analytical tools. The definition of the effectiveness of the library in the web environment, considered in the article, is given. A detailed list of actions is proposed to assess the possible effects of managing a library website using web analytics data

ABSTRACT By linking galaxies in Sloan Digital Sky Survey to subhaloes in the ELUCID simulation, we investigate the relation between subhalo formation time and the galaxy properties, and the dependence of galaxy properties on the cosmic web environment. We find that central and satellite subhaloes have different formation time, where satellite subhaloes are older than central subhaloes at fixed mass. At fixed mass, the galaxy stellar-to-subhalo mass ratio is a good proxy of the subhalo formation time, and increases with the subhalo formation redshifts, especially for massive galaxies. The subhalo formation time is dependent on the cosmic web environment. For central subhaloes, there is a characteristic subhalo mass of ${\sim}10^{12} \, \mathrm{ h}^{-1}\,{\rm M}_\odot$, below which subhaloes in knots are older than subhaloes of the same mass in filaments, sheets, or voids, while above which it reverses. The cosmic web environmental dependence of stellar-to-subhalo mass ratio is similar to that of the subhalo formation time. For centrals, there is a characteristic subhalo mass of ${\sim}10^{12} \, \mathrm{ h}^{-1}\,{\rm M}_\odot$, below which the stellar-to-subhalo mass ratio is higher in knots than in filaments, sheets and voids, above which it reverses. Galaxies in knots have redder colours below $10^{12} \, \mathrm{ h}^{-1}\,{\rm M}_\odot$, while above $10^{12} \, \mathrm{ h}^{-1}\,{\rm M}_\odot$, the environmental dependence vanishes. Satellite fraction is strongly dependent on the cosmic web environment, and decreases from knots to filaments to sheets to voids, especially for low-mass galaxies.

In the globalized world, the participation of leading project engineers who can successfully perform project evaluators' work, is required. The proposed system allows to make a comparative analysis of the different projects participating in events of invention, innovation and creativity, based on their characteristics of quality in use, functionality and usability, through a plan of external metrics and quality in use. The model is based on international standards (ISO / IEC 9126, 14598, IEEE 1061) and Mexican models (MECHDAV), and the proposed software is developed in a visual WEB environment for mobile devices (tablets), allow to evaluate the quality generically Of the projects-products-services involved in the aforementioned competitions; This system provides support to evaluators (juries) to issue impartial opinions with greater quantitative accuracy. This system is aimed at organizations, companies and end users who need to easily select the projects developed with the highest quality, to be the winners in these competitions. A guide is provided for the specific instrumentation of the evaluation, as well as its ranks, presentation, procedures and documentation.
