Coordination’s re-appropriation is becoming increasingly necessary because more and more organizations worldwide are unable to deal with their troubling versatile chains, re-appropriate exercises in coordination with the outsider coordinators (3PL) or professional co-operatives in coordination. Through redistributing teamwork exercises, businesses will focus on their business tasks at the core while at the same time achieving economic productivity and enhancing transport delivery and customer loyalty. Transport structure and the board of directors are of fundamental benefit to 3PLs. You can transport your own armada or haggle with at least one external carriers. In addition, 3PLs have traffic light inbound and outbound. To boost the courses, transport uses various transport methods and administration of installations. Switch coordination is one form of coordination that has an important impact on the board through ecological implementation and growing client awareness. The purpose of this paper is to enable heads of organization to determine most appropriate invert collaboration modes of operating with the complex models. There are three basic work method of coordinating for big corporations: self-supporting, joint endeavor and redistribute. To rank the other options, we applied TOPSIS as a dynamic apparatus. At long last, a model has been delineated to feature procedural execution of proposed model.

This study examined the impact of employee empathy on customers’ advocacy directly and indirectly through customers’ loyalty. Moreover, the interacting effect of customers’ trust was verified between the association of customers’ loyalty and advocacy. The attributes of the proposed model were examined in the context of first line employee and patients’ interactions. A total of 220 responses were collected for analysis from the private hospitals of Peshawar. The model fitness was confirmed through confirmatory factor analysis and hypotheses were examined. Findings confirmed the positive and significant impact of employee empathy on customers’ advocacy. Further, the mediating effect was examined and found that loyalty partially mediates employee empathy and customers’ advocacy. Additionally, trust was found a significant moderator between the association of customer loyalty and advocacy. Furthermore, findings revealed that trust based loyalty significantly and positively mediates employee empathy and customers’ advocacy. Findings of the present study provide understanding for the service sector, particularly in healthcare, to enhance customers’ loyalty, advocacy, and trust through service employee’s empathic aptitude. Cross-dock is defined as the practice of unloading goods from incoming vehicles and loading them directly into outbound vehicles. Cross-docking can simplify supply chains and help them to deliver goods to the market more swiftly and efficiently by removing or minimizing warehousing costs, space requirements, and use of inventory. Regarding the lifetime of perishable goods, their routing and scheduling in the cross-dock and transportation are of great importance. This study aims to analyze the scheduling and routing of cross-dock and transportation by System Dynamics (SD) modeling to design a reverse logistics network for the perishable goods. For this purpose, the relations between the selected variables are first specified, followed by assessing and examining the proposed model. Finally, four scenarios are developed to determine the optimal values of decision variables. The results indicate the most influencing factors on reaching the optimal status is the minimum distance between the cross-dock and destination, rather than increasing the number of manufactories.

Today, reverse logistics (RL) is one of the main activities of supply chain management that covers all physical activities associated with return products (such as collection, recovery, recycling and destruction). In this regard, the designing and proper implementation of RL, in addition to increasing the level of customer satisfaction, reduces inventory and transportation costs. In this paper, in order to minimize the costs associated with fixed costs, material flow costs, and the costs of building potential centres, a complex integer linear programming model for an integrated direct logistics and RL network design is presented. Due to the outbreak of the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) at the beginning of 2020 and the consequent increase in medical waste, the need for an inverse logistics system to manage waste is strongly felt. Also, due to the worldwide vaccination in the near future, this waste will increase even more and careful management must be done in this regard. For this purpose, the proposed RL model in the field of COVID-19 waste management and especially vaccine waste has been designed. The network consists of three parts – factory, consumers’ and recycling centres – each of which has different sub-parts. Finally, the proposed model is solved using the cuckoo optimization algorithm, which is one of the newest and most powerful meta-heuristic algorithms, and the computational results are presented along with its sensitivity analysis.

While the performance evaluation of reverse logistics (RL) practices in the construction sector is crucial, it is seemingly limited compared to that in the manufacturing sector. As the project life cycle in the construction sector is typically long, effective coordination among the stakeholders is needed to integrate RL into each phase of the project life cycle. This paper proposes a new model of RL for the construction industry, incorporating the dimensions, elements, and, most importantly, indicators needed for the evaluation of RL performance. The model was initially derived from the extant literature. It was then refined through (1) focus group discussion, by which suggestions pertinent to the proposed model were collated from academics and practitioners, and (2) judgments by academics and practitioners to validate the model. The validated model includes 21 indicators to measure RL performance, spanned throughout the green initiation, green design, green material management, green construction, and green operation and maintenance phases. The paper offers a new method for how RL can be adopted in the construction industry by proposing an innovative model that will benefit stakeholders in the construction industry.

Nowadays, reverse logistics (RL) is one of the key strategies in many industries, especially in the electronics industry due to increasing environmental awareness and sustainable management. The main aim of this research is to investigate the correlation of RL performance to solutions for RL practice of the electronics industry in Thailand. In this research, questionnaires were distributed to 417 companies in the electronics industry of Thailand. A conceptual model was developed and the model examined by using structural equation modeling (SEM). Both exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) were used in this study. The hypotheses were tested in which RL performance was directly positively associated with the overall solutions for RL practices. RL performance was also indirectly positively associated with management & organization solutions, legal & technology solutions and collaboration and support solutions of the various solutions for RL practices. Empirical data was tested by using SEM and it was found that the proposed model could fit with the empirical data. The proposed results of this study will help to understand more about RL practices and could provide further direction for researchers and practitioners in the electronics industry and other related industries.

In urban traffic, of particular interest the traffic breakdown which is primarily resulted from the driving behaviors is emerged to respond to the traffic signal. To investigate the influences of driving behaviors on the traffic breakdown, a cellular automaton model has been developed by incorporating a number of driving behaviors typically manifesting during the different stages when the vehicle approaching a traffic light. Numerical simulations have been performed based on a road segment consisting of three sections and each section is associated with a set of rules. The numerical simulations have demonstrated that the proposed model is capable of producing the time-delayed traffic breakdown and the dissolution of the oversaturated traffic. Furthermore, it has been evidenced that the probability of the traffic breakdown can be increased by involving the slow-to-start behavior. However, the activation of the anticipatory behavior can effectively impede the transition from undersaturated to oversaturated traffic. Finally, the contributions of the driving behaviors on the traffic breakdown have been quantitatively examined.


Ability to easily search and then compare items is an advantage that online platforms have over bricks and mortar formats. In such an intensely competitive airline market, this paper investigates if this exploration experience satisfies the traveler during air ticket booking, by applying the stimulus organism response model. An empirical study is used to test the proposed model by applying the structural equation modeling and interaction effects. The model describes the extent by which traveler’s repurchase intention is influenced by four important factors – search and compare assortment satisfaction, social influence and overall satisfaction. The paper extends the satisfaction to online repatronage intention and customer loyalty. This empirical study also establishes that the relationships are moderated due to civil status and ticketing number of platforms used by the customers.

Increased consciousness on environment and sustainability, leads companies to apply environmentally friendly strategies such as product recovery and product return management. These strategies are generally applied in reverse logistics concept. Implementing reverse logistics successfully becomes complicated for companies due to uncertain parameters of the system like quantity, quality and timing of returns. A forecasting methodology is required to overcome these uncertainties and manage product returns. Accurate forecasting of product return flows provides insights to managers of reverse logistics. This paper proposes a forecasting model based on grey modelling for managing end-of-life products’ return flow. Grey models are capable for handling data sets characterized by uncertainty and small sized. The proposed model is applied to data set of a specific end-of-life product. Attained results show that the proposed forecasting model can be successfully used as a forecasting tool for product returns and a supportive guidance can be provided for future planning. Keywords: End-of-life products, grey modelling, product return flow, product recovery;

Inventory management in reverse logistics is more complex than that in conventional logistics because of uncontrollable factors such as inventory levels increasing from reverse logistics, greater-than-expected disposal, and balance of supply and demand with changing market trends. This paper proposes a new economic order quantity (EOQ) model for reuse and recycling by expanding the EOQ model proposed by Dobos and Richter, 2004. The proposed model introduces a sequentially accumulated marginal reuse rate as a parameter in considering the balance of product demand and supply. The marginal reuse rate is calculated by using data on production distribution and disposal distribution of products for every discretized period. This model considers the sequence among recovery options: reuse, recycle and disposal. Parts are reused after having been inspected to determine whether they are reusable or not. Remaining nonreusable parts are recycled and any remaining nonrecycled parts disposed of. The extended EOQ model is applied to a case study using different scenarios for length of use and multiple generations of products. Results of computer experiments confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed method.
