Public sector reforms in many countries have been related to cost reductions, increased workload and similar issues. Ignoring the impact of reforms on employee job satisfaction may decrease employee engagement and the quality of service delivery. This paper aims to identify the main factors that determine the level of job satisfaction of public sector employees in a developing country and to find out which factors should be addressed first in order to decrease employee turnover. The survey conducted in 2015 included 365 respondents. For data analysis, partial least square structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) technique is used to test the model and identify the most important factors relevant to turnover intentions. The results indicate a strong relationship between satisfaction factors and intentions to stay. Satisfaction partly mediates the association between career growth possibilities, work environment, attitude of a direct manager, pay as well as social security and intentions to stay. Growth has the strongest total effect on intentions to stay with a public sector organisation. Thus, taking into consideration the cost cuttings and economic situation, career growth and the reward system are the two factors, which should be addressed first. Moreover, pay is the most important factor for the attraction of younger generation employees to the public sector.

Purpose- Organizations that enforce effective supervisory support through their cultural traits see their employees reciprocating through positive outcomes. The study explored the impact of supervisory support on employee engagement in Ghana’s telecommunications sector and the moderating effect of supportive organizational culture on the relationship. Design/Methodology- A correlational descriptive research design was adopted. A sample of three hundred and fifty-three (353) employees was drawn randomly from a top selected telecommunication company in the Accra Metropolis of Ghana. Information collated were analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS version 26) and partial least square based on Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Findings- The findings indicate that supervisory support significantly influences employee engagement. Again it was revealed that supportive organizational culture influences employee engagement and substantially moderates the relationship between supervisory support and employee engagement. Practical Implications- The findings provide valuable suggestions for organizations, managers, and supervisors to emphasize on measures such as a robust feedback system, training of supervisors, and enhancing employees' freedom to operate within the organization, which increases employee engagement and optimizing the organization’s competitive advantage.

Turnover Intention in the present study was defined as a situation where employee leaves company due to disturbance in operation, team work dynamics, and unit performance of PT. Patria Migas. This study aims to determine the direct effects of work stress, workload, work environment on turnover intentions, and the effects of work stress, workload, work environment on turnover through job satisfaction as a mediating variable. The subjects in this study are employees of PT. Patria Migas, with a total of 48 respondents. The model in the study was tested using Structural Equation Model (SEM) data analysis technique with Partial Least Square (PLS) and using software SmartPLS 3.0. The result of the study indicates positive and significant effects both directly of work stress, workload, and work environment on turnover intentions, and mediation of work stress, workload, and work environment turnover intentions mediated by job satisfaction. This study is expected to add insight on turnover intentions and variables such as work stress, workload, work environment an job satisfaction which can create turnover intentions. Keywords: work stress, workload, work environment, job satisfaction, and turnover intentions.

Introduction: The most critical problem faced by the health care system is the shortage of workers. This phenomenon is due to the release of employees. The number of turnover rate in private hospital is high due to which hospitals management face problems in the field of nursing.Aim: To determine turnover intention and factors behind turnover intention among private hospital’s nurses who worked in Jakarta, Indonesia. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted from March to September 2018 in two private hospitals in Jakarta, Indonesia, involved 97 nurses. Data were collected by employing a set of self-administered structured questionnaires and were analysed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modelling (SEM-PLS technique). Results: The results showed that there was a significant negative influence on organisational commitment to turnover intentions (-0.496). The higher the nurse’s organisational commitment, the lower was the nurse turnover intention. The better the job characteristics of nurses, the lower was the nurse turnover intention (-0.213). There was a significantly positive influence of job characteristics on job satisfaction (0.499). The higher the job satisfaction of nurses, the higher was the organisational commitment (0.374). Conclusion: The findings show that the influence of nurses’ work commitment has the greatest direct influence in influencing the turnover intention. Hospital need to increase nurses’ organisational commitment through their job satisfaction.

PurposeThe purpose of the study is to explore the influence of psychological empowerment, psychological contract and employee engagement on voluntary turnover intentions of employees in theinformation technology (IT) industry.Design/methodology/approachThe study used a cross-sectional, quantitative research design. The analysis for the study is based on a sample of 392 Indian IT professionals. Partial least square–structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was used to analyse the data.FindingsThis study has identified a significant relationship between turnover intentions, employee engagement, psychological contract and psychological empowerment. The findings of the study are that there exists significant positive influence of psychological contract and psychological empowerment on employee engagement. Employee engagement, in turn, has the capability to influence intention to leave the organization.Originality/valueThere is heightened awareness among industry leaders about the need to retain top performers. The purpose of this research was to analyze the role of employee engagement from the perspective of job engagement and organization engagement on job satisfaction and its effect on organizational performance. This research was conducted at a multinational manufacturing chemicals company located in Tangerang and Cilegon. The population was approximately 121 employees consisting of three job levels: Manager, White Collar, and Blue Collar. A target sample determined approximately 93 employees. Sampling using a non-probability sampling approach with a quota sampling method. The questionnaire was distributed to the population, but only 86 respondents filled out and returned the questionnaire. Method of hypothesis testing using Partial Least Square of Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The results suggested that job engagement has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction but does not significantly affect organizational performance. Next, organization engagement has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction but does not significantly affect organizational performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction has a positive effect and significantly influences organizational performance. Future research is advisable to examine the relations of other variables such as workload, work-life balance, and implementation of an integrated management system, which, believed, can provide a comprehensive view of employee engagement, job satisfaction, and organizational performance.

The major challenges organizations facing today’s competitive world is diversified work force and ever changing environment and technology. It is, therefore, imperative to utilize the employees ‘capabilities to the maximum possible extent to achieve individual and organizational goals. In this perspective, it has been discussed that job satisfaction and employee motivation are wide influencer of employees’ performance. Employee dedication and commitment towards work leads to improved outcomes in performance, organizational productivity and profit. Employees are more loyal and satisfied to the organization when they get recognition from their employers. The understanding of organizations on the factors satisfying employees will lead to deal with the people and get the extra ordinary results from them. The employee engagement and business performances are complimentary to each other. Higher is the employee engagement then greater the business performance. The present research makes an attempt to investigate the concept of job satisfaction and its impact on performance among the employees in the automobile industry, which is one of the key drivers that boost the economic growth of the country. In the time of recessions, the survival of the organization depends on the fully engaged employee. There is no agreement between defining the employee engagement by the earlier researchers and also its impact on job satisfaction and performance. In this concern, this study is significant in the definition of employee engagement and to find its relationship with job satisfaction and job performance in automobile industry.
