The article is devoted to the study of the effectiveness of training graduates of medical universities when a trained student is included in the educational process, able to fulfill the role of a mentor. All over the world, the number of students is increasing in medical universities every year, but there is no equivalent increase in the teaching staff. One of the potential methods of overcoming the above problems is the use of trained mentors from among peer students. This method was used when students practiced practical skills in a simulation center in anticipation of primary accreditation. The purpose of the study is to optimize the preparation of students for a practical exam in a simulation environment with the help of a student mentor. Of the 468 students of the medical faculty of the North-Western State Medical University named after I.I. Mechnikov, studying in the VI year, was chosen by their colleague, who was trained at the center of simulation technology. A sample of 100 graduates was randomly generated, which were randomized into two groups of 50 people each (the main group in which the training was conducted with the participation of a mentor student and a control group trained under the guidance of teachers from one of the university departments). The most difficult for students was the station simulating the provision of emergency medical care (EMF). The evaluation checklist for checking the quality of the tasks at this station includes 233 points that must be implemented when providing EMF in 13 different situations requiring this type of medical care. To improve the quality of mastering practical skills, a training scheme was developed that allows you to learn the algorithm of actions when providing EMF. A basic assessment of students knowledge and skills revealed a low level of knowledge of diagnostic techniques and emergency assistance. Using the developed training scheme with the help of a student mentor has significantly increased the level of knowledge and practical skills in the provision of EMF. The quality of training in the main group did not significantly differ in most of the assessed parameters from the control group in which classes were held with the teacher. Statistical analysis of the data was performed using the SPSS 20.0 program (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA).

An important condition for the digital transformation of education is the subjectivity of students and teachers. The formation of subjectivity as the ability to set one’s own goals and change either oneself or the educational environment to achieve them raises a number of questions: what is meant by the subjectivity of a student and a teacher, what does it mean to be a subject of the educational process, which factors contribute to and which hinder the formation of subjectivity. The authors focus on the conditions that promote and prevent the formation of subjectivity in master’s education of future engineers. Based on a review of foreign and domestic approaches to understanding subjectivity and the conditions for its development, it is concluded that all researchers distinguish similar aspects and manifestations in subjectivity: motivational (intrinsic motivation), emotional-valuable (proactive and responsible attitude to life), regulatory (the ability to set goals and follow them through to the end), cognitive (desire and ability to apply knowledge) and practical (skills, experience of independent activity). It has been established that foreign studies more often consider subjectivity as a resource, which improves the quality of education, while Russian studies consider it as a goal and a result of education. The article describes a taxonomy of subjectivity, which allows to measure it as an educational result. Based on the analysis of necessary and sufficient conditions for subjectivity formation, the hypothesis is made that the sufficient condition for subjectivity formation in mastering the “pedagogics” discipline is stepwise equitable partnership between all subjects of educational process. The condition is specified as a sequence of actions of a teacher and a master’s student in the process of mastering the discipline. The article describes the results of a pedagogical experiment in a group of master’s students of PNRPU Faculty of Civil Engineering, aimed at testing the proposed conditions. The results obtained show that step-bystep organized peer-to-peer interaction enabled most students in the experimental group to achieve the subjectivity level by the end of the discipline, while in the control group most students reached only the objectivity level. The motivational and practical aspects of subjectivity changed most significantly in the experimental group.

In order to increase the pregnancy rate in the assisted reproductive technology, the selection of one embryo with the highest implantation potential it is very important. Time-lapse microscopy (TLM) is a tool for selecting quality embryos for transfer. This study aimed to assess the benefits of single-embryo transfer of autologous oocytes performed on day 5 of embryo incubation in a TLM-equipped system in IVF and ICSI programs. Single-embryo transfer following incubation in a TLM-equipped incubator was performed in 282 patients, who formed the main group; the control group consisted of 461 patients undergoing single-embryo transfer following a traditional culture and embryo selection procedure. We assessed the quality of transferred embryos, the rates of clinical pregnancy and delivery. The groups did not differ in the ratio of IVF and ICSI cycles, average age, and infertility factor. The proportion of excellent quality embryos for transfer was 77.0% in the main group and 65.1% in the control group (p = 0.001). In the subgroup with receiving eight and less oocytes we noted the tendency of receiving more quality embryos in the main group (р = 0.052). In the subgroup of nine and more oocytes the quality of the transferred embryos did not differ between two groups. The clinical pregnancy rate was 60.2% in the main group and 52.9% in the control group (p = 0.057). The delivery rate was 45.0% in the main group and 39.9% in the control group (p > 0.050).

The work considered a system of knowledge control of the Kharkiv National Automobile and Highway University. It was shown that the quality of higher education depends mainly on the level of student training, the qualifications of teaching staff, the organization of the learning process, the efficiency of monitoring the quality of the education, and also factors allowing to improve the quality of education in the university. Assessment of the knowledge quality received by the students in the "Chemistry" discipline was carried out among the students of the Automobile Faculty of the KHNADU, entered the first year of the Bachelor of full-time education, during 2014/15–2018/19 academic years. The control was carried out with the help of traditional pedagogical practice types – the main (preliminary, final, and control of residual knowledge) and periodical (current and thematic knowledge tests). Statistical research on the performance of the main types of students' knowledge control, as more significant, shows that the important part of educational activity in university is an effective organization of its control. It was established that main principles of the control of students’ knowledge received during learning subject are the regularity and systematical conduct, the objectivity of assessment of the level of students' skills, the ability to identify the actual level of learning educational materials by the students, the timeliness of identification of the gaps in the learning process by the teacher and applying ways to overcome them. The internal and external factors affecting the performance of students during studying the "Chemistry" discipline have been distinguished. The internal factors are the knowledge level before entering the university and the motivation for learning the subject. The external are an organization of the educational process, self-organization of student learning activity, teaching methods and forms and professionalism of the educator, quality of additional services (holding consultations and individual lessons), educator-student relationship. It was identified that during studying the "Chemistry" discipline, the influence of the factors that students had before entering the university is weakened, and the external factors, which appeared in the process of studying in university, have a significant impact.

Purpose of the study. To determine the effect of nutritional deficiency and nutritional therapy on the quality of life of patients with gastric cancer at the stage of surgical treatment. Patients and methods. In Thoracoabdominal Department of P. Herzen Moscow Oncology Research Institute within 2017– 2019 the quality of life at the stage of surgical treatment of gastric malignant neoplasms was evaluated in 62 patients (36 men and 26 women) aged 34 to 79 years (mean age 61.9 ± 9.55). At the outpatient stage, patients were divided into 2 groups: in the 1st (main) group, patients received nutritive support with specialized mixtures for 10 days before hospitalization, in the 2nd (control) group, patients were asked to follow a high-protein diet without adding specialized mixtures. The quality of life assessment was carried out on the basis of the EORTC-QLQ-C30 Questionnaire, which patients received on the day of hospitalization. Patients repeatedly filled in EORTC-QLQ-C30 Questionnaire before discharge from the hospital, which allowed to assess the dynamics of the quality of life indicators of the studied patients. The study groups were comparable in social and medical indicators. Results. The analysis of the survey results showed that the “general state of health” in the studied groups at the stage of hospitalization is estimated bove average. Also, in both groups there is a positive dynamics in the values of the above indicator before discharge. Patients of the 1st group who received specialized nutritional mixtures, developed the statistical significance of the differences in the assessment of the quality of life upon admission and before discharge. Thus, it can be argued that nutritional therapy had a significant positive impact on the quality of life in terms of “general health”, in contrast to the control group of patients who did not receive specialized nutritional therapy. There was a general tendency toward an increase in the quality of life indicators at admission and before discharge on all scores of the questionnaire in groups. Thisis a positive assessment by patients of their condition after providing them with medical services. In this case, the discomfort from the symptoms accompanying the disease is reduced, which is confirmed by the scoring results. Statistically significant differences in the assessment of symptoms occur in the study group. Patients having received nutritional therapy noted a decrease in pain, an improvement in the processes of assimilation of food, as well as an improvement in well-being, physical condition, an increase in general tone and energy, a surge of strength and a sense of vitality. In “decreased appetite”score the indices of patients in the main group decreased by more than 3 times, i. e. their appetite improved significantly under treatment. Improving appetite in patients of the main group led to an improvement in the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract as a whole. Patients in this group noted an improvement in digestion and bowel movements. Conclusion The study showed that the quality of life of patients with gastric cancer largely depends on their nutritional deficiency, and nutritional therapy at the stages of surgical treatment, in turn, can significantly improve its results, including in the aspect of their perception by patients. Using the general EORTC QLQ-C30 questionnaire is one of the available methods for assessing the quality of life in patients with gastric cancer.

Introduction. Urethral transposition remains the most popular operation for postcoital cystitis, however, traumatism and complications, especially such as pudendal neuropathies, dyspareunia and anorgasmia, make us continue to search for effective, but safer techniques. The study objective is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the proposed treatment of postcoital cystitis, including removal of urethrogymenal adhesions and subsequent paraurethral filler implantation, in comparison with isolated hymenoplasty.Materials and methods. Since 2013, 75 patients with postcoital cystitis have been treated. Patients were divided into two groups: main group – hymenoplasty (removal of urethral adhesions) with paraurethral filler implantation (n = 45), control group – hymenoplasty (n = 30). The gel was injected paraurethrically, fan-shaped, in the volume of 1–2 ml, from a point on the 6-hour conditional dial, creating a gel cushion and thus raising the meautus and distal urethra. To assess the quality of treatment, profile questionnaires were used.Results. In the main group of patient, the quality of life improved in 35 (78 %); in 5 patients, due to the process of biodegradation of the gel during 1 year, the cystitis recidivated, which required the filler reimplantation. In 5 patients, the operation was not effective. In the control group the efficiency of isolated hymenoplasty was noted in 3 (10 %) patients, relapse of cystitis occurred in 27 (90 %) patients, which later required the implantation of a filler. No complications were observed.Conclusions. The suggested combined technique allows to improve the results of treatment of patients with postcoital cystitis. The operation does not carry the risk of damage to the sprigs of the genital nerve, can serve as an alternative to traditional urethral transposition. The main disadvantage is the natural biodegradation of the gel, which may create the need for its reintroduction.
