O crescimento e urbanização das cidades têm incitado sérios danos à condição ambiental, bem como consideráveis prejuízos econômicos, nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnsociais e de qualidade de vida das pessoas. Os efeitos benéficos das áreas arborizadas, que privilegiam a prática de atividades físicas sempre foram inerentes à melhoria da qualidade de vida e bem-estar social. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi realizar um estudo descritivo frente à percepção dos acadêmicos de Educação Física da Faculdade FMG, município de Mogi Guaçu–SP quanto à arborização existente no perímetro urbano e se este tipo de vegetação favorece a prática de atividades físicas e qualidade de vida da população. Participaram desta pesquisa cinquenta e seis estudantes do primeiro ao quarto período desse curso. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de uma entrevista semiestruturada através da aplicação de um questionário, sendo observada uma percepção positiva da arborização urbana entre os acadêmicos. Está bem estabelecida a função exercida pela arborização na redução do calor gerado no ambiente urbano, redução da insolação, evapotranspiração, redução da velocidade dos ventos e os resultados indicam que a arborização urbana é um importante fator na melhoria das condições ambientais das cidades, favorecimento da prática de exercícios físicos e qualidade de vida de seus habitantes.Palavras chave: Urbanização. Qualidade de Vida.AbstractThe growth and urbanization of cities have prompted serious damage to environmental conditions, as well as considerable economic, social losses and quality of life. The beneficial effects of wooded areas that emphasize physical activity have always been involved in improving the quality of life and social well-being. The aim of this study was to perform a descriptive study before the Scholars’ perception of of Physical Education Faculty FMG, municipality of Guaçu-SP Mogi regarding the existing trees within the city limits and if this type of vegetation promotes physical activity and the population’s quality of life. The study gathered 56 students from the first to the fourth quarter of this course. The survey was carried out using a semi-structured interview through the application of a questionnaire, and observed a positive perception of urban forestry among the scholars. It is well established the function performed by afforestation in reducing the heat generated in the urban environment, reducing insolation, evapotranspiration, reduced wind speeds and the results indicate that urban forestry is an important factor in the improvement of environmental conditions in cities, favoring physical exercise and quality of life of its inhabitants.Keywords: Urbanization. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the well-being and the quality of life of college students participating in physical education classes. We consider this study to be relevant because during the COVID-19 pandemic we tested whether the boost in effective activity among physical education class participants affected well-being and quality of life. A sectional questionnaire survey was conducted across Taiwan in 2019–2020. Data were collected in two stages within 6 months from a sample of 1011 university students in Taiwan (328 male, 683 female). A series of one-way ANOVAs was adopted to examine each outcome across groups and time phases. The results provide support for a positive relationship between well-being (β = 0.25, p < 0.001), and quality of life (β = 0.92, p < 0.001), supporting our expectations. Findings from our study suggest that physical activity was positively associated with mental health; and participation in physical activity had an effect on the well-being and quality of life in college students.

Higher sedentary time and lower physical activity (PA) are associated with a poor health-related quality of life (HRQoL) in children. The aims of this study were: (1) to analyze the sedentary time, objectively measured PA levels (light, moderate, vigorous, and moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA)), and HRQoL dimensions (physical well-being, emotional well-being, self-esteem, family, friends, school, and total score) in children; and (2) to examine the association between sedentary time, PA levels, and HRQoL in children separately by sex. A total of 459 children (8.4 ± 0.4 years old, 50.54% males) from 15 schools in Granada (Spain) participated in the study. A tri-axial accelerometer was used to measure PA levels in the children for 7 consecutive days. The Revidierter KINDer Lebensqualitätsfragebogen (KINDL-R) questionnaire was used to determine the children’s HRQoL dimensions. The results showed that males presented more minutes engaged in MVPA than females. Both sedentary time and PA levels were associated with self-esteem and total score (all p < 0.05). In males, moderate and vigorous PA levels were associated with higher HRQoL, whereas light PA was associated with higher HRQoL in females. Future studies should take into account the use of activities with difference intensities in order to increase HRQoL in males and females.

Abstract Background Physical activity (PA) has beneficial effects on health and health-related quality of life (HRQoL), which is a protective factor of illness and mortality. The purpose of this examination was to investigate if self-reported and device-based measures of PA were related to HRQoL in adolescents. Methods Participants (N = 1565; 54.3% female; Mage = 14.37 years, SDage = 1.99) were recruited from 167 sample points across Germany. Adolescents self-reported their PA, supplemented by a 1-week examination of device-based PA using accelerometry. Additionally, they completed the multidimensional KIDSCREEN-27 to assess HRQoL. Results Results showed that self-reported PA was correlated with overall HRQoL, Physical Well-Being, Psychological Well-Being, Social Support & Peers, and School Environment, whereas device-based PA was only correlated with Physical as well as Psychological Well-Being. Further, self-reported PA significantly predicted all facets of HRQoL except for Autonomy and Parent Relations, whereas device-based PA solely heightened the amount of explained variance in the Physical Well-Being subscale. Conclusions Findings demonstrate the importance of self-reported PA as it is related to almost all facets of HRQoL. Both measures of PA are not congruent in their relationship with HRQoL and thus implications have to be carefully considered. Future studies should investigate the direct effect of PA on HRQoL and health in a longitudinal approach to account for the causality of effects.

In connection with the increasing the number of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) who enrolls in educational institutions of Ukraine, the issue of individualization of physical education (PE) of children with ASD in the school process becomes important. There is little data on the quality of life of schoolchildren with autism spectrum disorders. It does not allow to draw individual trajectories of physical education of such children, to help them to improve their adaptability. Most of studies have been performed on males. Objective: to analyze the level of cognitive, physical, emotional, social functioning and functioning in school of girls of primary school age with autism spectrum disorders and compare them with typically developed peers. It was found that there were no differences between the rates of girls with ASD and girls with typical development in walking and running, feeling of pain and low energy levels, the frequency of school absences due to doctor visits and the frequency of forgetting things. However, the level of development of cognitive, social and emotional functioning of girls with ASD is significantly lower than the indicators with typical development by all criteria. To overcome the problems with cognitive, social and emotional functioning of girls with ASD, it is recommended to select appropriate means of PE. In oder to improve the cognitive processes (attention, memory) of girls with ASD, we recommend to increase the amount of means that promote the development of coordination in PE classes; to improve physical functioning - exercises for developing muscle strength and endurance. The game activity with normal girls will help to improve the social well-being of girls with ASD. We should use oriental martial arts and oriental gymnastics to improve the psycho-emotional state of girls with ASD.

AbstractPhysical activity provides many benefits in patients with congenital bleeding disorders. Patients with hemophilia are encouraged to participate in exercise and sports, especially those patients receiving prophylaxis. Several publications and guidelines have explored this issue in hemophilia patients, evaluating in particular the impact of physical activity on patients' well-being and quality of life. The other rare congenital bleeding disorders are less studied; they are heterogeneous in terms of clinical bleeding phenotype, incidence of hemarthrosis, and arthropathy. Furthermore, prophylaxis in these patients is less common than in hemophilia patients, which must be considered when choosing the type of physical and sporting activity. In this review, the authors have analyzed the literature focusing their attention on those rare coagulation disorders that may be complicated by arthropathy and the role of exercise and sports in this context.

The relevance of the scientific problem and the scientific novelty are due to the social demand of society for studying problems related to the subjective well-being of people with disabilities. The focus of our attention is the psychological well-being of dyads in close relationships (romantic or marital). The aim of the study is to analyze the psychological well-being in a dyad of partners who are in close relationships. The article analyzes the characteristics inherent in close relations of couples in which one of the partners has a disability. Using the Scale of Adaptation and Cohesion (FACES-3)), the levels of adaptation and cohesion of the dyads were revealed. Methods Quality of life Enjoyment and Satisfaction Questionnaire examines quality of life and subjective well-being, assesses the degree of subjective satisfaction with emotional and social spheres, health, activity in free time. Particularly analyzed data of a semi-structured interview. Empirically revealed differences in the understanding of their own close relationships depending on the health status of the partner. Dyads, including partners with disabilities, demonstrate a high level of satisfaction, average cohesion values, partial balance. The study is complex, and now there is a clear prospect for its continuation.
