Purpose of Study: Education has an important role to improve the quality of human resources that made the younger generations could develop their potential optimally. Vocational High School (SMK) is one of the educational institutions that has prepared their graduates to enter the working world. One of the compulsory programs in Vocational High School is the students were carried out on the fieldwork practices (PKL). To provide learning access for students as long as they stayed in the industry area, so it was necessary to give learning on blended learning by using handphone as a learning media. In order to get students’ learning outcomes be maximized, so the development of this learning should be done by applying Research and Development patterns that were adapted from The Steps of System Approach Model of Educational Research and Development (R & D), Fourth Edition and Seventh Edition by Borg and Gall. Blended learning models that would be developed are Norman Vaughan and Flipped Classroom Models. Learning materials were developed are computer system subject. The measurement of result development was done by the formative evaluation that consisted of one to one evaluation with expert, one to one evaluation with learner, small group and field trial. Methodology: The methodology that was conducted is stages of learning model adopted from Model of The Steps of System Approach Model of Educational Reseach and Development (R & D), Fourth Edition and Seventh Edition by Borg and Gall. The blended learning model that will be developed is the Norman Vaughan model and Flipped Classroom Model. (Helena Gillespie et.all, 2007) Results: Stages of learning model development that was adopted from Model of The Steps of System Approach Model of Educational Reseach and Development (R & D), Fourth Edition and Seventh Edition by Borg and Gall. The blended Vaughan model and Flipped Classroom Model. Stages of development process as follows:1) Data and Information Collecting, 2) Identity Instructional Goal, 3) Conduct instructional Analyze, 4) Analyze Learners and Contexts, 5) Write Performance Objectives, 6) Develop AssessmentInstrument, 7) Develop Instructional Strategy, 8 Develop and Select Instructional Materials, 9) Revise Instruction, 10) Design and Conduct Formative Evaluation of Instruction (Gall et all). Implications/Applications: Development of blended learning based on handphone was appropriate to be used in learning at XI grade of SMK. It was caused that students of XI grade have followed the practice of field work for about 3 months, as long as the students followed the practice of fieldwork, it meant that the learning process was still being applied by using handphone media and learning outcomes showed that there was an improvement in learning outcomes.

The main problem in education today is the lack of effectiveness in the learning process. This can be seen from the average student learning outcomes which are always still low. Especially for vocational high school students who emphasize learning skills in order to produce work-ready graduates, but it is inversely proportional to the facts in the field. Low learning outcomes are indicated because the learning conditions are still conventional (lectures, practicum, and discussions) where teachers are still a source of learning (teacher centered). This study aims to determine the effect of the project based blended learning model on learning outcomes of vocational high school students. This research was conducted through a literature review and relevant research results and was continued through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). From the research it was found that there was a significant positive influence between the variable model of project based blended learning and student learning outcomes, which means that student learning outcomes can be improved through the application of a project based blended learning model.

Instructors across a variety of contexts and levels utilize formative assessments to measure students' progress toward meeting learning outcomes. Formative assessments are how instructors gauge whether their students have mastered content or skills or if they require additional practice and support. The purpose of this chapter is to explain how three elementary education professors utilize technology-based activities as formative assessments within their classrooms. In this chapter, the authors address the importance of using formative assessment in higher education classrooms and provide illustrative examples of how various technologies can be used as assessment tools. These examples will include game-based activities (e.g., Kahoot), presentation platforms (e.g., Nearpod), and organizational tools (e.g., Padlet). The goal of this chapter is to help support instructors in higher education who wish to incorporate technological activities while using them as formative assessments when teaching students.

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected various aspects of life, one of which is education. Direct face-to-face contact needs to be reduced to prevent transmission of COVID-19, while educational institutions must continue to organize learning courses. This study identifies the effect of the blended learning model on learning outcomes of level II students in child-nursing courses during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study used a pre-experiment, one-group pre-test post-test, the sample was selected using the cluster random sampling method involving 105 students of level II of the Fatmawati Academy of Nursing. Data were analyzed using SPSS-24 software with the Wilcoxon test. The instrument used was a written test consisting of a pre-test and a post-test, a child-nursing procedure skills test. The results showed pre-test mean value is 74.74 and post-test mean value is 80,133. From these results, it can be concluded that there is the use of the blended learning model improved the learning outcomes of child nursing in Fatmawati Nursing Academy students during the COVID-19 pandemic. This can be seen from the average post-test result value, which is higher than the pre-test result value (p = 0.000).   Keywords: Blended learning, COVID-19, student learning outcomes, pandemic, learning

This study aims to explain blended learning and learning styles towards students' conceptual understanding. This study was designed as a quasi-experiment involving 84 students of the IslamicsEducation Department, Faculty of Education of Islamics Institute of Al-KhairatPamekasan, Indonesia. The research data were collected using a test. Before the study, tests were carried out for the experimental and control groups. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and ANOVA test with pre-test scores as covariates. The level of significance was determined at α = 0.05. The results showed that (1) there were differences in learning outcomes between those taught with the blended learning model and those taught with the conventional learning model. (2) The difference in learning outcomes between groups of students who had to learn styles and groups of students with low learning discipline. Student learning discipline had an essential role in the learning process. These findings indicated that blended learning could dominate the learning outcomes of students' conceptual mastery. Future research might be able to discuss the results of tests conducted to determine the effectiveness of mastery of learning concepts with other learning models.

Summative and formative assessments are important for students' learning pathway. The article analyzes the blended learning model in the Entrepreneurship discipline, in two classes from the perspective of a learning experience as formative assessment, applied in the online platform. The study pointed out that students' access to content increases when participation is stimulated through a formative activity in the online environment. In the class of 54 students, 37 students performed the activity, while in the other class of 76 students, 67 students performed the activity in the online environment.
