There are different methods and devices for the increase of the videosignal information in SEM. For example, with the help of special pure electronic [1] and opto-electronic [2] systems equipotential areas on the specimen surface in SEM were obtained. This report generalizes quantitative universal method for space distribution representation of research specimen parameter by contour equal signal lines. The method is based on principle of comparison of information signal value with the fixed levels.Transformation image system for obtaining equal signal lines maps was developed in two versions:1)In pure electronic system [3] it is necessary to compare signal U (see Fig.1-a), which gives potential distribution on specimen surface along each scanning line with fixed base level signals εifor obtaining quantitative equipotential information on solid state surface. The amplitude analyzer-comparator gives flare sport videopulses at any fixed coordinate and any instant time when initial signal U is equal to one of the base level signals ε.

In the age of digital transformation of production processes in industry and science the development and design of intelligent flow sensors for granular and liquid substances transferring through pipelines becomes more important. With this in view new approaches for improving the accuracy of microwave flowmeters are proposed. Taking into account the characteristics ofelectromagnetic waves propagating through a pipeline, a wave scattered by inhomogeneities of the controlled medium is analyzed. Features of the transformation of the polarized scattered wave limiting the geometric dimensions of the pipeline and optimizing the values of the useful scattered signal are revealed. Expediency of collection of the information signal with orthogonal polarization of the scattered wave and through a directional coupler is substantiated. The method of estimating the measurement accuracy with reference to the signal-to-noise ratio at the input of the processing device is given. The research results can be used in cryogenic machine engineering to measure volume and mass flows of liquid cryogenic products.

In this paper, we study the transmit power minimization problem with optimal energy beamforming in a multi-antenna wireless powered communication network (WPCN). The considered network consists of one hybrid access point (H-AP) with multiple antennae and multiple users with a single antenna each. The H-AP broadcasts an energy signal on the downlink, using energy beamforming to enhance the efficiency of the transmit energy. In this paper, we jointly optimize the downlink time allocation for wireless energy transfer (WET), the uplink time allocation for each user to send a wireless information signal to the H-AP, the power allocation to each user on the uplink, and the downlink energy beamforming vectors while controlling the transmit power at the H-AP. It is challenging to solve this non-convex complex optimization problem because it is numerically intractable and involves high computational complexity. We exploit a sequential parametric convex approximation (SPCA)-based iterative method, and propose optimal and sub-optimal solutions for the transmit power minimization problem. All the proposed schemes are verified by numerical simulations. Through the simulation results, we present the performance of the proposed schemes based on the effect of the number of transmit antennae and the number of users in the proposed WPCN. Through the performance evaluation, we show that the SPCA-based joint optimization solution performance is superior to other solutions.

Ensuring the reliability of buildings, structures, analysis of their structural elements during reconstruction or major repair includes the task of determining the physical and mechanical characteristics of materials — strength, homogeneity, evaluation of structural heterogeneity, the presence of microcracks, etc. In solving this problem, an ultrasonic pulse method of non-destructive quality control is used. The basis of the method is the dependence of the parameters of ultrasonic oscillations, on these characteristics when they pass through the material. As the main parameter of the information ultrasonic signal, the time of its passage from the radiating to the receiving ultrasonic transducers is used. The amplitude of the information ultrasonic signal to a large extent depends on the structure of the investigated material, its acoustic resistance. At significant violations of the structure of the material there is a significant decrease in the amplitude of the information signal, which causes an increase in the error of measuring the time of its passage, and hence the definition of characteristics, quality of the investigated material. The article describes the developed method of increasing the accuracy of measuring the time of passage of the ultrasonic signal from the radiating to the receiving ultrasonic transducers. The essence of the technique is to use the mathematical modeling of the shape of the ultrasound signal, in particular the form of its so-called «first introduction».

Monitoring of geomagnetic field parameters and its variations is mainly carried out using ground-based magnetic observatories and variational stations. However, the imperfection of equipment used and the communication channels involved causes the presence of gaps in the time series of geomagnetic data, which, along with the spatial anisotropy of data sources, creates significant obstacles to their automated processing. In addition, the well-known methods for imputation of time series gaps provide the root-mean-square recovery error significantly exceeding the level acceptable for geophysical observations. Thus, the paper proposes a method for recovering geomagnetic data based on statistical methods for processing time series and machine learning principles using marked data and characterized by the fact that a pair of the time series fragments preceding and succeeding a missing fragment provide an indicative description of the time series fragment of interest, which together form a training sample to search for the missing fragment by a set of its attributes, followed by linear scaling to restore the original trend of an information signal. Analytical estimates of parameters of geomagnetic data time series are given, under which it is possible to apply the proposed method to recover both daily variations and several-minutes-long fragments.

Abstract It goes without saying that as a pragmatic phenomenon, vagueness has over the past few years been a topic of extensive research. However, a huge gap still exists when it comes to the investigation of how vagueness is expressed across different languages and cultures. In the present study, we have put under scrutiny the pragmatic functions of ‘sort of’, a vague expression, in Persian conversation with a view to making cross-linguistic comparisons between different languages possible. Besides confirming the fact that the vague item ‘sort of’ enables interactants to fulfil a wide variety of functions in interactional settings, particularly in face-to-face interactions, the current study reveals that the expression in question can also serve to signal ‘a moment of awkwardness’ as well as the presence of ‘inferable information’. With the former function, ‘sort of’ signals that the speaker is experiencing a feeling of inconvenience and embarrassment. When used as an inferable information signal, however, ‘sort of’ indicates that the utterance has been inferred from the previous or current exchange.

The information model of turbodrilling using the telemetry system based on the accounting of the sound energy characteristics was developed and studied. The sources of the information signal and noise were identified. A target function of turbodrilling control - minimization of the process sound amplitude - was obtained. The information model was made a basis for development of the simulation model of turbodrilling control by the sound energy characteristics
