Introduction: Tension and chaos are considered as a socioeconomic phenomenon that can have adverse effects on individuals, organizations, and the community if not properly managed. Therefore, this study was aimed to investigate the factors affecting the formation of tension and chaos among nurses of Yazd Province, Iran. Methods: This exploratory mixed methods research was conducted on nurses selected from 10 out of 31 hospitals of the province through cluster sampling and proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using interview and a researcher-developed questionnaire. In total, 376 individuals were enrolled. The validity of the questionnaires was evaluated by face and content validity, and its reliability was verified using Cronbach's alpha test. Results: Out of 47 factors identified, 44 factors explained 70% of the tension construct. These factors were classified into seven categories and confirmatory factor analysis was used to verify the construct validity of the categories. The results showed acceptable initial clustering. Moreover, financial and economic factors, work conditions and job security were identified as the most important factors for explaining the studied construct. Conclusion: Given the issues discussed and viewpoints expressed about the seven categories identified regarding the strike by hospital directors, human resources area must be paid special attention and measures beyond changing the name of the administrative unit to human resources or human capital must be taken.

ABSTRACT Purpose: Understand how the user, the provider/supplier and the decision maker interact in the innovative process, as well as identify how the co-production occurs. Originality/gap/relevance/implications: There is evidence that the innovation derives among other factors from elements that characterize the co-production. Studies involving co-production of innovation are scarce. This study contributes to increase the theoretical knowledge in innovation in hospitals, mainly regarding co-production of innovation. Key methodological aspects: It is a qualitative study with case study strategy. Data collection through interviews and documentary research. Analysis of the data by technique of content analysis. Summary of key results: The logic of product development is still applied in the development of technological solutions for the hospital, against the logic of services, involving the interaction of customer with supplier. The results also suggest the possibility of relationship between innovation capacity and occurrence of innovation, pointing out the need to test this relationship in future works. Key considerations/conclusions: It is necessary to understand and investigate the mechanisms that allow the interaction of users, from design to implementation of innovation. It is also important to investigate whether the elements that characterize the co-production are relevant to explain innovation in hospitals, because elements were identified related to the concept of innovation that deserves to be better understood, including in contexts of public and private hospitals.

Introduction: Planning in the field of medical tourism is of particular importance. The main objective of this research was to identify and analyze the factors affecting the growth of medical tourism in Iran. It could be a small step toward promoting entrepreneurship and increasing non-oil revenues in the country. Methods: Studies published in the Persian and English language during the years 2006-2019 in Science Direct, ProQuest, Springer, Medline, Scopus, Ovid, and SID databases were reviewed, and the findings were then compared. Results: A total of 75 articles out of 2631 unique publications were included in this study. Most articles reported studies performed for all patients, including the whole country (Iran) (n=22, 30%), Shiraz only (n=11, 15%), Tehran only (n=11, 15%), Mashhad only (n=6, 8%), Isfahan only (n=5, 6%), and Ardabil only (n=4, 5%). Conclusion: Given the history of Iranian hospitals in attracting foreign patients and the analysis of their status, there are many limitations in achieving a proper standing in the medical tourism industry. Strategies offered by various managers and authorities in tourism can lead to increased attraction of medical tourists to public and private hospitals in Shiraz, relying on the capabilities and potential of Shiraz and its health sectors, including climate and nature, cultural and historical attractions, renowned practitioners, advanced equipment, facilities, and methods, and thereby generating more foreign exchange earnings and employment.
