Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) playing a big role in domestic economic activities, especially in a developing country such as Indonesia. They accommodate a large amount of employment and generate quite large income for many economic sectors such as textile, furniture, footwear, food and beverages. Usually, SMEs do not have  a big stock of goods, consider the SMEs has a low capital. That makes SMEs usually rely on turnover from stock items with a small stock of goods. This certainly causes the monitoring process of the goods of stock’s data is very important. If an error occurs, stock-outs can easily arise which can cause loss of sales. Calculation and adjustment of the stock of goods and assets owned by the SME whether in the warehouse or storefront must often be carried out more often. To help inventory control process on SMEs, this research attempt to build a simple inventory control process application. This IT application is expected can operate easily by people who are not familiar with IT and relatively cheap so can be used by various layers of SMEs. The application will be running on Android-based smartphone. The application could download the SMEs stock data and doing inventory control by scanned the barcode that attaches on the item. The scanning process is simply using a camera on the smartphone. After inventory control process, SMEs employee could upload their data directly to a database server using Wi- Fi without re-entry their inventory control result. So this could save employee work time. Keywords: Android-based application; inventory control process; stock out

Small medium enterprises (SMEs) have proven and are known to be one of the biggest contributors to the economy of developing countries. Evidence shows that SMEs provide a number of job opportunities, which results in unemployment reduction, poverty eradication, and a bigger boost towards other economic activities. However, most SME entrepreneurs face an array of problems such as access to funding, building up international connections, getting appropriate knowledge and access to adequate technology. These issues are then further intensified by the lack of proper governance and the avoidance of business ethics by most SME entrepreneurs. Over the past years, the number of SMEs has grown drastically in developing countries (Nigeria, Algeria, Brazil, and Vietnam), which has also resulted in an increase in competition within the sector. This has given rise to the need to install the strategies of corporate governance with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs.

Climate change evolution, joined by other environmental issues, will lead in the coming years to a rapid introduction of new actions and technologies. They will have to resolve, in the different economic sectors, one or more aspects of the current unsustainability. The relevant risk is that, in urgent conditions where the unreleased practices will be proposed, the assessment of their environmental impact will remain limited to their specificfield/sector. Therefore, the evaluation would not be extended to any wide-ranging environmental effects. Withoutan accurate assessment it would be impossible to determine whether the solution was more damaging and burdensometo the environment than the initial problem. Small-medium anthropic activities do not possess, from the economicpoint of view, the means and the duty to achieve an impact analysis ad hoc. This work aims to describe an analysis methodology developed for the environmental impact assessment of Small-Medium Enterprises. It is both exhaustive and easily applicable to small work activities and processes. This methodology is aimed both at business managers and at local authorities. The identified method of analysis allows an exhaustive evaluation of the whole forest energy chain and the identification of technical choice with less impact on the environment.

It has been more than a decade after 5.9 SR earthquakes hit one of the most destructed area Tembi Hamlet, Bantul District, Yogyakarta Province. Amidst the wreaking havoc, the area gained its resilient in no time. This research, aimed to 1) explore what are the factors influential towards local resilient, especially micro-small-medium enterprises; and 2) analyze strategies to tackle disaster. It employed mix method, while the key questions were developed using “Sustainable Livelihood Approach” by DFID, geared with “Pentagram Asset” mapping for each spatial and temporal unit. The result revealed that 1) the micro-small-medium enterprises in urban area are resilient towards earthquake due to fair physical, natural and financial assets management and abundant social, human and political assets. These assets have created enabling environment towards behavioral change of urban society; 2) Despite various livelihood strategies existed in urban areas, the research highlighted three types of livelihood strategies within disaster risk management perspective, i.e. survival (disaster), consolidation by no-change plan mechanism and accumulation strategies by change plan mechanism (post disaster). Critically, pentagram assessment is able to identify feasible local assets and activities, however it left the policy, institution, interaction and multi sector aspects from the spotlight. Herewith, the research proposes evaluation scan to rethinking sustainable livelihood approach within disaster risk management by adding these aspects into the observation. It also revealed that local autonomous initiatives to extend urban based economic activities and supported by abundant political interest play pivotal role in disaster management at developing countries.

ASEAN  Economic Community (AEC) has been agreed by the ASEAN leaders in 2003 as one mechanism to increase the social economic welfare of the people in ASEAN countries. Whilst it is no doubt the formation of AEC will give many benefits to ASEAN countries, there will be also negative impacts of the AEC. This paper aimed at analysing the implication and challenges of the formation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) toward Indonesian economy with particular attention to agricultural sector and the micro and small-medium enterprises (SMEs) development. The paper argues inter alia that the formation of AEC  will give benefit to ASEAN countries if and only if the ASEAN community has one voice in socio-economic and policial commitment and coordination. The economic sectors that need further greater improvement toward the success of the formation are agricultural sector and the micro, small and medium enterprises. Thus, much remain to be done by ASEAN countries in general and in Indonesia in particular toward the success of .the formation of AEC.

Accounting is an information system that generates financial statements used by relevant parties to report their economic activities and financial conditions. Many small Medium Enterprises (SMEs), the support of the nation's economy to date, still have not implemented accounting in conducting their businesses. This activity aims at improving the understandings and competencies of the laundry-business owners in applying simple financial statements and identifying challenges. Therefore, the accounting study Program in cooperation with the community of Laundry Entrepreneurs (HIPLI) implements a public service program, namely "Simple Financial Statements preparation training for the Association of Laundry Indonesia (HIPLI)". The results of this activity show that the relevant parties, such as governments, accountant profession organizations, educational institutions can motivate, facilitate and support the SMEs to compile their own financial report.

Micro-Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) constitute vital ingredients for the lubrication of the development process of any economy. Therefore, Micro-Small and Medium Enterprises are bedrocks of emerging economies as they exact vital roles in promoting and sustaining growth and development.  However, in Nigeria MSMEs are facing myriad of challenges and difficulties in funding their activities. Rising trends in Non-performing loans (NPLs) adversely affected availability of loans and advances to economic agents in the Nigerian economy thereby constraining financial intermediation and economic activities hence growth. The study investigated the nexus existing between NPLs in the Nigerian banking system and lending to MSMEs sub-sector in Nigeria from 1981-2015. Time series data used in the study were collected from annual statistical bulletin of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). These data were subjected to descriptive and inferential methods. The results of the graphical presentations indicated irregular fluctuations in NPLs. The graphs indicated positive trends in respect to lending to MSMEs and the productivity of MSMEs. The estimated OLS results showed negative nexus between non-performing loans and lending to MSMEs. This negative nexus led to concomitant low MSMEs productivity in Nigeria. The study recommended that CBN should increase its financial surveillance over the sectors and also ensure timely resolutions of the NPLs challenges CBN should increase arrays of financial intervention that would address paucity in funds in the MSMEs sub-sector
