Background: Hospital, as one of the most important organizations for health promotion, requires efficient and effective human resources. Health information management staffs are responsible for storing, processing, and distributing information used to improve the quality of healthcare services. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between quality of work-life and productivity of health information management staff. Methods: This descriptive analytical cross-sectional study was conducted on 165 staffs of health information management department in an educational hospital of Isfahan in 2017.  The data were collected using Walton Work Quality life Questionnaire and Gold Smith's Manpower Productivity Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive and analytical statistics, including Pearson correlation coefficient, independent t-test, Spearman correlation coefficient, analysis of variance and linear regression analysis by SPSS 18. Results: Average scores for the quality of work life and productivity were 2.65 ± 0.51 and 2.64 ± 0.42, respectively. According to one-sample t-test, these scores had a significant difference with the moderate level (p < 0.05). Based on the Pearson correlation test, the quality of work life had a direct and significant relationship with the productivity of staff (r = 0.73 and p < 0.05). Independent t-test showed that the average score of productivity in men was significantly higher than women (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Considering the direct and significant relationship between the quality of work life and productivity in the staff of health information management department as well as the low level of these two components, the relevant authorities should take appropriate measures. These approaches include safe physical design of workspace and establishment of a fair payment system in accordance with the working conditions of this department. The quality of work life should be improved since it affects the quality of service delivery and staff productivity.

Background Quality of work-life is an important factor in the recruitment and retention of the nursing workforce and their work productivity. Aims This study aimed to identify factors that affect the quality of work-life of nurses. Methods In this correlational study, 239 nurses employed in a tertiary teaching hospital in Iran completed the study questionnaires, including the quality of work-life questionnaire. The associations between potential independent variables and quality of work-life were examined using multivariate regression analysis. Results Participants were mostly women (80.33%) and within the age range of 30–45 years (71.54%). Working in other hospitals, having a second job and health information-seeking behaviours were significant predictors of quality of work-life, explaining 28.68% of the total variance in quality of work-life of nurses. Conclusions Improving working standards may prevent nurses from working extra hours or in different occupations. This, along with facilitating the health information-seeking behaviours of nurses, may help improve their quality of work-life by maintaining a better work-life balance and acquiring knowledge and skills that can help with effective management of work and life commitments.

Background: Stressful workplace experiences of police officers predispose them to physical and psychological injuries and affect their quality of work-life (QWL). Objectives: Therefore, this study aimed to examine the QWL of Iranian police officers. Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted in 2020 on 200 police officers working in different job positions of the Iranian Police Organization. A convenience sampling method was used to recruit the participants from 12 police departments in five cities. The Police Quality of Work-life questionnaire (PQWLQ) was used for data collection. The measures of descriptive and inferential statistics (independent-samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Pearson correlation coefficient) were used for data analysis. Results: Of the 200 police officers, 87.5% (175) were males, 68% (136) had a bachelor’s degree or higher, and their work experience ranged between five and 27 years. The QWL score of the study participants ranged from 24 to 120 with a mean (± SD) of 63.20 (± 18.40), and the majority of them (56%) had a moderate QWL. Male police officers had a higher QWL (67%) than female ones (45%) (P < 0.05). Conclusions: The majority of the police officers who participated in this study had a moderate QWL. To increase the level of QWL among police officers, the Police authorities should plan appropriate strategies and programs.

Purpose: Quality of work life affects employees' commitment towards the organization. It is a concept that closely interests both the employees and the organization. The present study was conducted in a descriptive form for the purpose of determining nurses' work life quality and their organizational commitment levels. Materials and methods: The population of the study consists of the nurses working in a university hospital and no further sampling method was implemented. A total of 163 nurses participated in the study. The data were collected between August and December 2012 through the use of the "Organizational Commitment Questionnaire" and the "Quality of Nursing Work Life Survey", a descriptive questionnaire that covers the socio-demographic and work life characteristics of the participants. Student's t-tests, Tukey multiple comparison test, Mann-Whitney U-test, Kruskal-Whitney U-test, Kruskal-Wallis variance analysis, Cronbach’s alpha coefficients and Pearson correlation analysis method were utilized in the evaluation of the collected data. Results: In the study it was determined that the nurses' work life quality and their organizational commitment are at medium levels.  It was also determined that there is a positive and statistically significant relation between work life quality and organizational commitment. Conclusion: It is suggested to implement applications that would enhance nurses work life quality.

This study discusses the influence of Quality of Work Life conducted by Bank Danamon Syariah Makassar. Quality of Work Life is a management concern about how work can affect humans, organizational effectiveness and the importance of employee participation in decision making processes, especially those related to career, income and time. front of them in their work. The purpose of this research is to find out whether the effect of Quality of Work Life consisting of Rewards System, Work Environment, and Work Restructuring variables influences employee performance. And to find out the dominant variables simultaneously influencing. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive method. The data collection is done through the distribution of questionnaires. The method used to test hypotheses is to use Validity Test, Reliability Test, Normality Test, Multiple Regression Analysis, T Test, F Test, Adjusted R Square, and Double R Correlation. Linear regression test results, Y = 11,976 + 0.488 x 1 + 0.081 x 2 + 0.033 x 3, it can be concluded that the variable X1 is the Rewards System that has a value of 0.488 and has a positive and significant effect on employee performance variables (Y), variable X2, namely Environment Work with a value of 0.081 does not have a positive and significant effect on the Employee Performance variable (Y), variable X3, namely Work Restructuring, which has a value of 0.033, does not have a positive and significant effect on the employee performance variable (Y). The results of this study indicate: based on the t (partial) calculation of the reward system, the calculated value is 3.450 and the value (sig) = 0.002 is smaller than the probability value that is 0.05 or 0.002 <0.05, meaning that the dominant reward system variable has a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Bank Danamon Syariah Makassar. T-test results (partial) work environment obtained a calculated value of 0.650 and (sig) = 0.521 greater than the probability that is, 0.05 or 0.521> 0.05 means that the work environment variable does not affect the performance of employees at Bank Danamon Syariah Makassar. And the t-test results (partial) work restructuring obtained a calculated value of 0.239 and (sig) = 0.813 greater than the probability of 0.05 or 0.813> 0.05 which means the work restructuring variable has no effect on employee performance at Bank Danamon Syariah Makassar
