The objective of this paper is to examine the viability of Istisna for project financing, with a special focus on its economic aspects and the risks associated with the said contract. This paper also aims to investigate the challenges faced by Islamic banks in adopting Istisna as a mode of project financing. This paper first provides an overview of Shariah-compliant project financing; it then discusses the characteristics of Istisna and barriers to Istisna implementation for construction and infrastructure project development. Economic and general legal considerations are key factors that influence the development of Istisna as project financing. This paper also seeks to explore ways to increase the use of Istisna.

This paper models a default-free convertible facility to finance infrastructure projects in emerging Muslim countries. The mortgage is designed as a combination of an Islamic credit facility (allowing the collateralization of debt by the assets of the firm as espoused in Scott[32], Stulz and Johnson[36]) and inclusion of real warrants (as espoused in Green[12], Haugen and Senbet[15]) to mitigate the agency cost of debt discussed in Myers[27]. Numerical simulation is employed to endogenously solve for the rate of return, tenure and fractional ownership to be conveyed to financier upon conversion of the facility without resorting to any interest based (ribawi) index. Finally, sensitivity analysis is conducted to study the impact of exogenous variables and to reconcile with the existing mainstream finance literature such as Barclay and Smith[3], Stohs and Mauer [35] and Guedes and Opler [13].

BACKGROUND Research and Development (R&D) of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medicine involve clinical, technical and economic aspects. Better understanding the relationship between these dimensions seems necessary to coordinate efforts of R&D among stakeholders. OBJECTIVE To assess systematically existing literature on the cost-effectiveness of Artificial Intelligence (AI) from a clinical, technical and economic perspective. METHODS A systematic literature review was conducted to study the cost-effectiveness of AI solutions and summarised within a scoping framework of health policy analysis developed to study clinical, technical and economic dimensions. RESULTS Of the 4820 eligible studies, 13 met the inclusion criteria. Internal medicine and emergency medicine were the most studied clinical disciplines. Technical R&D aspects have not been uniformly disclosed in the studies we analysed. Monetisation aspects such as payment models assumed have not been reported in the majority of cases. CONCLUSIONS Existing scientific literature on the cost-effectiveness of AI currently does not allow to draw conclusive recommendations. Further research and improved reporting on technical and economic aspects seem necessary to assess potential use-cases of this technology, as well as to secure reproducibility of results. CLINICALTRIAL Not applicable

The paper focused on the analysis of the gender factors under the developing of a marketing program to promote green goods. With the purpose to identify the scientific schools on this theme, the bibliometric analysis was conducted. In 2013 year and 2019 year, there was a significant increase in the number of publications which focused on the investigation on green marketing issues. Such trends could be explained by the growing level of interest of the world community in environmental issues. The findings allowed concluding that green marketing is considered by scientists in linking with such scientific areas as health economics, social development, economic development. The scientific community studied the gender and age parameters as key factors in the effective implementation of green marketing. In order to determine the role of gender and age factors in decision-making on the purchase of environmental goods, the survey of 176 students from Sumy State University (Ukraine) was conducted. The findings confirmed that women were more aware of environmental products than men, and 84.1% of women prefer to buy environmental products. It was determined that the most popular eco bags are shoppers – 54.5% among respondents, in second place – garbage sorting (49.4% among respondents), in third place – the rejection of plastic (48.3% among respondents). It was found that 77.8% of respondents are looking for eco-products in the category of food. Male respondents of all age are most looking for eco-goods in the category of household goods (55 respondents). Male respondents do not follow modern eco-trends and do not pay much attention to environmental labelling. Women, on the other hand, are more aware of environmental issues and often support eco-trends. The generalized results showed that one of the factors that reduce the effectiveness of green marketing was the low level of awareness of students on the nature and importance of eco-products. It was found that gender should be considered during the selection of communications channels with students and green marketing tools for the promotion of environmental products.
