The article raises certain issues of the legal nature of the provision of medical assistance to the penal correction system in medical institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, as well as institutions of the state or municipal health systems. The analysis of the regulatory framework of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Justice, which regulates the provision of medical care. It is shown that the federal and departmental regulatory legal acts of the Ministry of Justice do not legislatively regulate the procedure for providing high-tech medical care according to the list of species that are not included in the basic program of compulsory medical insurance. In order to fill the gap in the legislation, it is proposed that the medical service of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia develop an appropriate regulation in which a list of necessary documents and the procedure for referring treatment to needy employees are prescribed. A survey of employees of the penal correction system showed that more than 2/3 of respondents are dissatisfied not only with the conditions in which medical services are provided, but also with the quality of medical care provided to them. The rights and possibilities of the penitentiary system staff to make claims to a medical institution in case of dissatisfaction with the quality of the medical service (assistance) provided are examined. The problems of legal regulation and practical solution of the issue, assessing the quality of the medical service (assistance) provided are analyzed. It is proposed to form an institute of experts in the FSIN system for assessing the quality of medical care.

The language we use with others derives from hidden assumptions about them and commands expectations and outcomes. That is why the constructs and language used in health services provided to the elderly are a worthwhile object of study. This paper addresses the language used in the services provided to the elderly population in Mexico and many other Latin-American countries. The psychological, linguistic and practical aspects of the wellbeing language paradigm are discussed. The linguistic analysis of the discourse used by health care providers conveys important implications to the kind, quality and purpose of intervention. It is argued that by using the language of wellness, health professionals are in a better position to listen and assess the degree of satisfaction and happiness, to explore for conditions that may promote or hinder quality of life, and also, they are in a better position for planning services to the elderly that reach beyond physical health and economic indicators. It is posited that quality of life in old age is incomplete without a sense of the patient’s wellbeing.

This research aims to study active ageing by participation in educative and healthy activities (PE&HA) at centres that provide active ageing programmes. An exploratory quantitative study was undertaken, envisaging to explore the relationship between certain variables (age, sex, attendance and type of activity) and the degree of satisfaction with PE&HA. An intentional non-probabilistic sampling was applied to select 800 persons over 55, corresponding to users of various senior centres located in four districts of Madrid, Spain. The data collection instrument consisted of 29 easy-to-understand questions grouped into six dimensions. Results of the questionnaire indicate that users are satisfied with PE&HA offered by the centres. According to 78% of the respondents, the participation in workshops and other group activities contribute to a better quality of life in the elderly, and no statistically significant differences were found between the users’ degree of satisfaction and gender. This research provides possible improvements in areas that will contribute to preventing dependence; for example, those in which there is a greater demand from users. As proposals for improvement, we suggest designing specific strategies to obtain more male participation in senior centre workshops.

Elderly population needs economic support including food, clothing, medical care, and housing as well as cultural support. In view of the size of the population, scarcity of resources, poverty, insufficient health facilities and absence of strong social security, ageing is going to be a major problem for Bangladesh. Preparing for an elderly population “old age” and “ill-health” are inseparable entities to general people. To ensure medical care services separate ward or unit in a hospital should be established for elderly people. “Age-friendly Principles for PHC Centres” serve as a tool to increase provider awareness and empower older users of PHC centers. There is need for change in the attitude of not only community and the government but also the people. The elderly should be considered not as a burden to society rather their valuable experience should be utilized fruitfully and it should be the responsibility of the society and the government to impart an improved and effective quality of life to them in return for their lifelong dedicated service towards their children and the nation. Telemedicine allows healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose and treat patients remotely using information and telecommunications technologies. Telemedicine is an evolutionary discovery that is increasingly becoming an important part of medical science and practice. Objectives: To study and analyze the opinion of physician assistants for telemedicine as a predictor for overcoming the barrier in the process of treatment of elderly people living in small and remote settlements. Methods: We conducted a survey of the opinion of 80 physician assistants on telemedicine as a predictor for overcoming barriers in the treatment of elderly and senile people living in small and remote settlements. Results: According to the analysis of the data on the benefits of the introduction of telemedicine and because it is a predictor for overcoming the barrier in the treatment of the elderly and elderly, the following was found: Medical professionals providing medical care to geriatric patients face a number of challenges that require a timely and adequate response, and telemedicine is a predictor of overcoming the barrier in the process of their treatment. In hard-to-reach and remote settlements, there is often a lack of general practitioners, enough outpatient clinics and places to perform activities for the treatment of geriatric patients. In these cases, the application of telemedicine would be adequate. This will increase the possibility of access to adequate medical care. Patients will receive precise and clear instructions. This will reduce the need for transportation or time for patients to access hospitals. Conclusion: The study allows us to draw the following inferences: Telemedicine is an opportunity to improve and enhance the professional activity of physician assistants working with geriatric patients and the implementation of telemedicine will increase the quality of medical care and health care for the elderly population in remote areas and small settlements.
