While the fear of speaking may prevent some students from speaking in  seminars  altogether,  those  that  do sometimes  find their  nerves  restrict  them from adequately sharing their views and intelligence, resulting in an embarrassed, unconfident  student who then promises him/herself never to speak up again. Students may feel fear at  the possibility  of embarrassing themselves  and  appearing  foolish  or saying the ‘wrong’  thing. After graduation, students need oral presentation skills to succeed in the workplace. Employers look for graduates with excellent oral presentation skills. Communication skills are important for people entering the workforce. Thus the role of educational institutions and specifically of the instructors offering oral presentation courses is important in helping students to improve their skills. Training plays a significant role to improve public speech skills of students. This study aims to explore the issues related to public speech training programs for students, parameters which should be used as pedagogy to improve their public speech skills. Four experiments were performed on students based on 30 parameters.

Discourse analysis theory is an extensive scientific field where a number of scientific traditions cooperate, including linguistics, cognitive psychology, sociology and artificial intelligence. The present article attempts to reveal the role of the highest levels of discourse in explaining the role of the application of the language. To achieve the goal 70 male and female students of general English have been chosen randomly. The findings of the research correspond to the famous idea of D.H. Hymes about the application of the language according to which grammar rules are senseless without the knowledge of the rules of the language use. The research presents methodological advice to the lecturers of higher educational institutions which can help develop the communication skills of their lecturers.

Abstract Background Communication is an indispensable skill in the everyday working life of a veterinary team. In German higher educational institutions, communication skills training is explicitly mentioned in the curricula of veterinary assistants, including veterinary nurses and veterinary technicians, and of animal keepers, but not for undergraduate veterinary medicine. Little is known about interprofessional education in veterinary medicine and related professions. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to describe and explore the current interprofessional state of knowledge regarding communication skills of the aforementioned groups in Germany. Methods To explore the perception, assess the knowledge and identify the attitude regarding communication skills and interprofessional training, an online survey was distributed. The survey was sent to all five veterinary higher educational institutions, 38 schools for veterinary assistants and 15 schools for animal keepers throughout Germany. Results In total, 294 veterinary students, 111 veterinary assistant trainees and 62 animal keeper trainees participated. The majority of participants (98.07%, n = 458) perceived communication skills as highly important for their everyday work. In total, 413 participants (88.44%) felt that their communication skills needed improvement and more than half admitted having difficulties in effective communication (59.31%; n = 277). In addition, 62.74% of respondents (n = 293) were not sufficiently informed about the training content of their future colleagues. Most were convinced that training could positively influence on their communication with clients (95.72%; n = 447) and the team (92.29%; n = 431), and 76.45% of respondents (n = 357) wished to participate in an interprofessional training. Conclusions Results of this study confirm that communication skills are perceived as highly important for professional life. Students and trainees show a great interest in communication skills and interprofessional training. The findings indicate that appropriate adjustments to existing curricula are necessary in Germany.

This study aims to examine and discuss in-depth the principal's strategy in developing teacher competence at MA Tarbiyatul Islam Gending Probolinggo. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques with interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that: (1) The model that can be used to improve the competence of teachers in carrying out their duties is through In-service education or In-service training programs. (2) The strategic steps of the principal's leadership in developing teacher competence to improve the quality of education are the first formal strategy, namely the teacher is assigned by the institution to attend education and training, the second non-formal strategy, namely the teacher on his own desire and effort to train and develop himself related to work or position.

This contribution takes place into the field of researches that question the communication skills training for future managers (communication professionals and managers). It highlights importance of nonverbal communication in cooperative work and questions the models taught about the role of this type of communication for building a collective project. By the report and analysis of an original educational proposal entitled « Org’impro « , an action research in the field of training that involved specialists choreographers of improvisation and managed by the University of Grenoble Alpes, our purpose is to increase the pedagogy research and develop training devices transferable in organizations.
