RESUMEN: Este artículo busca socializar algunos resultados de una investigación teológica, realizada con la mediación del método cualitativo y el enfoque del estudio de caso, que se propuso abordar el testimonio de un conjunto de mujeres laicas pertenecientes a la primera Comunidad de Vida Cristiana de adultos en Chile o vinculadas con ellas por medio de los Ejercicios Espirituales. La investigación ha sido realizada en el marco del Centro Teológico Manuel Larraín – Pontificia Uni­versidad Católica de Chile/Universidad Alberto Hurtado, como parte del programa Teología de los signos de los tiempos. Este texto busca profundizar la relación entre algunos contenidos de verdad propuestos por el Concilio Vaticano II –la Iglesia, la renovación de la vida religiosa, los laicos y el servicio a los pobres– y la vida de la Iglesia, en concreto, de una iglesia local. La lectura incluye una perspectiva de género por ser las mujeres un sujeto eclesiológico emergente en el posconcilio y contribuye a una exploración de la recepción conciliar desde este foco de atención. En el marco de la creciente colaboración entre jesuitas y laicos en la Compañía de Jesús en las últimas décadas, se propone una reflexión teológica a partir de his­torias de vida en relación con la experiencia y la transmisión de la espiritualidad de los Ejercicios. Los relatos elegidos muestran la interrelación existente entre el acompañamiento en los Ejercicios Espirituales por parte de jesuitas y laicos o laicas, las Comunidades de Vida Cristiana (CVX), el Centro de Espiritualidad Ignaciana (CEI) y diversas obras apostólicas. SUMMARY: This article seeks to facilitate some results of a theological research that was proposed to address the witness of laywomen belonging to the first Adult Christian Life Community in Chile and other women linked with them through Spiritual Exercises. This research was carried out through qualitative method and case study approach. It has been undertaken as part of the program Theology of the signs of the times, within the framework of Manuel Larraín Theological Center-Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and Alberto Hurtado University. This text looks for a deepening between the relationship of certain elements of truth proposed by the Second Vatican Council –Church, the renewal of religious life, laity and the service to the poor– and the life of the Church, particularly the local Church. The reading includes a gender perspective because women can be considered as an emerging ecclesiological subject in the post-Vatican II and it helps to explore the reception of this council from this point of view. It is proposed a theological reflection, based on life histories in relation to the experience and the transmission of the spirituality of the Exercises, within the framework of the growing collaboration between Jesuits and laity in the Society of Jesus in the last decades. The chosen narratives show the interrelation between the spiritual accompaniment offered by Jesuits and laity in the Spiritual Exercises, the Christian Life Communi­ties (CLC), the Center of Ignatian Spirituality (CEI) and various apostolic works.

e panorama of the Council’s thinking about the universal apostolate, sketchedout in brief, is increasingly becoming the property of the people of God: it permeatesthe minds and hearts, is reflected in the practice of daily life, in the initiativesand apostolic undertakings taken, in the way of thinking and acting. It wouldbe difficult to say, of course, what the actual state of current apostolic activityin the Church is, if we had separate sociological studies. Nevertheless, it shouldbe stated and strongly emphasised that the pioneering suggestions of VincenzoPalottis, enriched by the experience and reflections of future generations, thecontributions of Newman, Perrone and others, deepened and adapted accordingto the demands of the times by the Second Vatican Council, have already becomea lasting heritage and property of the whole people of God, who are becomingincreasingly more aware that they are by their very nature, and therefore mustbe in practice, a people who are eminently apostolic.

The Second Vatican Council (1962-5) called for religious orders to renew themselves in a two-fold return to the sources of their Christian life, jointly to the Gospels and to the inspiration of each institute’s founder, a process to be combined with a movement to bring the religious life into line with the ‘tenor of the times’.Thirty years after the issuing on 28 October 1965 of Perfectae Caritatis, the conciliar decree on the religious life, it seems particularly relevant to look at how far this renewal has been enacted since the Council. Furthermore, given the theme of this volume it seems especially apt to examine the role which that call for the rediscovery of the founder’s spirit has played in one such renewal.

This article considers the theme of discernment in the tradition of Ignatian spirituality emanating from the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola (1491-1556), the founder of the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). After a brief introduction which addresses the central problematic of bad influences that manifest themselves as good, the article turns to the life and work of two Jesuits, the 16th C English missionary to India, Thomas Stephens and the 20th C French historian and cultural critic, Michel de Certeau. Both kept up a constant dialogue with local culture in which they sought authenticity in their response to ‘events’, whether a hideous massacre which shaped the pastoral commitment and writing of Stephens in the south of the Portuguese enclave of Goa or the 1968 student-led protests in Paris that so much affected the thinking of de Certeau. Very different in terms of personal background and contemporary experience, they both share in a tradition of discernment as a virtuous response to what both would understand as the ‘wisdom of the Spirit’ revealed in their personal interactions with ‘the other’.

Basic shape is one of the most important components of the learning design process. Using Western design thinking to understand shape, color and composition layout and attempting to reinterpret the application of traditional calligraphy from a design point of view—whether it is the expression of form or the meaning of content—are both important aspects of design thinking. The writing patterns of traditional calligraphy and the design creation of modern experiments may have different biases. If the artistic value of "the brush and ink of the time" is compared to the science and technology of innovation as the main appeal, the expressiveness of the traditional writing mode is obviously difficult to achieve. Using science and technology as an option for design creation is a difficult way to proceed; however, technology, ideas and thinking can still be in sync with the cultural issues of an entire era. This is also the test of the times to which contemporary creations are subjected. There are infinite possibilities for development, and it is worthwhile to explore these possibilities together with artistic aspirants. On the other hand, if we follow the well-beaten path of the status quo, the creativity of traditional calligraphic art will wither, it will deviate from the larger environment of the era in which it operates, and it will inevitably be neglected and pushed out by other art categories. The design and creation process uses the traditional calligraphy characters and drums as the theme, assisted by digital tools in the creation, and finally transforms the traditional calligraphy visual form into an expression of the art of science and technology.

As our society faces large-scale wicked problems like global warming, resource depletion, poverty and humanitarian emergencies, problem solvers are required to apply new reasoning models more appropriate to deal with these complex societal problems. Dealing with these problems poses unfamiliar challenges in contexts with poor financial and infrastructural resources. Systems Oriented Design (SOD) has been recognized in the literature as a promising approach, capable to support design engineers to deal with these complex societal problems. This paper explores the application of SOD in the development of Product-Service System (PSS) concepts by student teams in a multidisciplinary master course. The course resulted in twelve concepts that were analysed using a case study approach with the support of protocol analysis. The analysis results in a description of advantages, context- and process-related challenges of using SOD. From an education point-of-view, the results demonstrate that even though SOD provides students with a broad knowledge base and skills to deal with problems in complex societal contexts, there is still the need to introduce the appropriate scope and depth in the design engineering curricula, making the transition from traditional product design, a challenging one.

El objetivo del artículo es analizar la vida cotidiana a través del uso de espacios públicos por parte de las mujeres residentes en un barrio obrero de la Región Metropolitana de Barcelona – Ca n’Anglada, en la ciudad de Terrassa. La primera parte reflexiona sobre la conceptualización del espacio público desde la perspectiva de género y la segunda parte describe brevemente la metodología utilizada e introduce también el contexto histórico y social del estudio de caso que presentamos. La tercera parte se centra en el estudio empírico de la vida cotidiana de las mujeres en los espacios públicos del barrio escogido. Finalmente elaboramos unas conclusiones y propuestas. La metodología utilizada es cualitativa, básicamente la observación participante y no participante y las entrevistas en profundidad.

Objetivo: caracterizar las percepciones de cambio en el bienestar subjetivo de las mujeres de comunas pobres del sur de Santiago que participaron del proyecto promocional en salud mental ‘Mujer, Comunidad y Calidad de Vida’. Se trata de precisar su relación con condiciones sociodemográficas, variables metodológicas y habilidades psicosociales.Metodología: estudio de caso, mediante un análisis de datos bivariado (chi cuadrado y correlación) y multivariado (regresión lineal múltiple), se responde qué dimensiones inciden en los niveles de satisfacción vital (variables sociodemográficas; metodológicas; y psicosociales) y si explican o no las percepciones de cambio de bienestar subjetivo de estas mujeres.  Resultados: se evidenció que  las variables sociodemográficas y metodológicas no inciden ni explican la percepción de cambio en el bienestar subjetivo, no así las variables asociadas al cambio en las habilidades psicosociales, que en un gran porcentaje y con una alta correlación, determinan aquella percepción de cambio.Conclusiones: las variables asociadas a las habilidades psicosociales estudiadas son las que tienen una mayor relación con el bienestar subjetivo, por sobre las sociodemográficas y metodológicas. Y de forma coherente con lo anterior, son el grupo de variables que tienen una mayor incidencia sobre este constructo. Por tanto, el desarrollo de las dimensiones subjetivas en la calidad de vida a través de la promoción de habilidades psicosociales desde un enfoque promocional de salud mental incida en las percepciones del propio bienestar.

Este trabajo intenta realizar una revisión teórica sobre ciertos conceptos relacionados a la problemática de identidad y género; y la puesta en reflexión de este recorrido en el plano empírico. A partir de un estudio de caso de una empresa recuperada en el Gran Rosario -Provincia de Santa Fe, Argentina-, nuestro trabajo intentará analizar el rol de las mujeres en lucha por la recuperación de la fuente de trabajo de sus cónyuges. Nuestro objetivo es analizar la experiencia de estas mujeres a partir de la construcción de modelos de representación y prácticas, donde determinados registros de la vida privada parecen marcar la configuración del espacio público -espacio incierto, precario, inestable-, escenario del proceso de constitución de su identidad de género y de trabajo.

En el devenir de los tiempos, a las mujeres se les ha expropiado de sus esfuerzos, de sus creaciones, de sus riquezas (tanto simbólicas como físicas) y de su trabajo. Es a partir de la I Conferencia Mundial de la Mujer, promovida por la ONU (1975), cuando se inaugura la cruzada para reivindicar los derechos humanos en todos los ámbitos, incursionando en los diversos mecanismos jurídicos de los estados modernos y democráticos. El presente artículo expone los resultados del estudio sobre la implementación del Sistema de Gestión en Igualdad y Equidad de Género (SIGEG) y su impacto sobre la gestión de los recursos humanos en las organizaciones. Teniendo como líder del caso (leader case) el Banco Popular y de Desarrollo Comunal (B.P.D.C.) de Costa Rica, se evidencia la relación entre sistemas de equidad y la obtención de excelentes resultados para las organizaciones. Se exponen los principales resultados obtenidos, mediante un análisis del enfoque cuantitativo y cualitativo, a través de la investigación descriptiva, bajo la metodología de estudio de caso. Los resultados satisfacen plenamente el objetivo propuesto sobre la influencia del SIGEG en la dirección y gestión de los Recursos Humanos, y de cómo esas prácticas impactan positivamente la gestión de la igualdad, equidad y diversidad en la organización.
