In the Tambov region, due to the widespread introduction of promising technologies for growing sugar beets, its yield has significantly increased, at the same time, the used seeding machines are not always able to provide the required depth of planting seeds, which leads to loss of yield and difficulty in applying fertilizers. In the course of previous studies, it was determined that with an increase in the angle of the scraper over 60 degrees, an increase in the percentage of filling the cells of the disc with seeds in various hybrids occurs, so research has established that in the hybrid PMC-120 at an angle of installation of the scraper of 70 degrees, 100 percent of the cells are filled with seeds, while in hybrids XM-1820 and Troika, the cells were filled only by 93.3%. It should also be noted that the PMC-120 hybrid with a scraper angle of 70 degrees had the lowest damage to the pellets - 0.67%, while the XM-1820 and Troika hybrids had 0.83 and 0.73%, respectively. With an increase in the angle of installation of the scraper over 80 degrees, the percentage of damaged seeds increased from 0.4 to 0.66%, on the basis of this, the design of the seeding device was proposed and theoretically substantiated, a feature of which is the reverse rotation of the seeding disc, while the rear wall of the opener is made in the form of a parabola appropriate trajectory of movement of seeds, which ensures their distribution in the immediate vicinity of its rear wall, thereby reducing the risk of falling asleep to the bed of the furrow before the granules get there. It has been determined that the trajectory of the granule movement directly depends on the angular speed of the seeding disc, which in turn depends on the geometric characteristics of the cells of the seeding disc. It is theoretically substantiated that the speed of the seed in the disc cell is determined by the sum of the projections, which makes it possible to calculate the curved surface of the opener.

Long period bodily tides (fortnightly and monthly) cause periodic changes of the Earth's moment of inertia and consequently the angular speed of its rotation.During the past few years the use of atomic clocks has made it possible to determine the amplitudes of these periodic variations of the Earth's rotation with high accuracy and has made this method very effective in determining Love's number K, which is dependent on the internal structure of the Earth (the most detailed studies were made in the U.S.S.R. – Pilnik and Gubanov). But up to now it was taken (Anderson, Woolard, Melchior, and others), that the formulae of Jeffreys and Woolard, which are used in this method, are valid only for incompressible Earth models. It is shown in this paper that the formulae are valid for the case of an actual compressible heterogeneous Earth. Thus, the method receives a real practical value. The use of lasers and radio methods in the near future will make this method even more effective. The full text of the paper will be published in the magazine Physics of the Earth in No. 3, 1972.

An algorithm for calculating the geometric characteristics of steel I-beams with plate corrugated webs of arbitrary type is proposed. The algorithm is implemented using the I-beam with plate trapezoid webs as an example. The determination of reduced area and moments of inertia in the axes of the cross section of the trapezoidal profile based on the finite element modeling of the beam with shell elements in calculations for bending and axial compression in the “ANSYS 14.5” software package is described. The verification procedure has been performed for a shell finite element model using the example of an I-beam with a standard flat web. A table has been compiled of geometric characteristics of rod corrugated elements of a trapezoidal profile in order to realize their finite element calculation using a rod diagram. An example of the calculation of a flat frame with a horizontal corrugated element, made in software package “LIRA-SAPR” using a flat rod diagram is given.

For many years the concept of quantitative diffraction contrast experiments might have consisted of the determination of dislocation Burgers vectors using a g.b = 0 criterion from several different 2-beam images. Since the advent of the personal computer revolution, the available computing power for performing image-processing and image-simulation calculations is enormous and ubiquitous. Several programs now exist to perform simulations of diffraction contrast images using various approximations. The most common approximations are the use of only 2-beams or a single systematic row to calculate the image contrast, or calculating the image using a column approximation. The increasing amount of literature showing comparisons of experimental and simulated images shows that it is possible to obtain very close agreement between the two images; although the choice of parameters used, and the assumptions made, in performing the calculation must be properly dealt with. The simulation of the images of defects in materials has, in many cases, therefore become a tractable problem.

The Article briefly discusses the need for generation of the Science of Ahangyol, and this science’s scientific basis, object and subject, category system, scientific research methods and application options. Ahangyol is a universal science and may be useful in any sphere. It may assist in problem solving in peacemaking process and in many areas such as ecology, economics, politics, culture, management and etc. This science stipulates that any activity and any decision made in the life may only and solely be successful when they comply with harmony principles more, which are the principles of existence and activity of the world. A right strategic approach of the Eastern Philosophy and the Middle Age Islamic Philosophy and scientific thought has an important potential. This strategic approach creates opportunities to also consider irrational factors in addition to rational ones comprehensively in scientific researches. The modern scientific thought contributes to implementation of these opportunities. Ahangyol is a science of determination of ways to achieve harmony in any sphere and of creation of special methods to make progress in these ways through assistance of the modern science. Methods of the System Theory, Mathematics, IT, Astronomy, Physics, Biology, Sociology, Statistics and etc. are more extensively applied. Information is given on some of these methods. Moreover, the Science of Ahangyol, which is a new philosophical worldview and a new paradigm contributes to clarification of metaphysic views considerably and discovery of the scientific potential of religious books.

The article offers a method and program for experimental studies of reinforced concrete structures with cross-shaped spatial crack under torsion with bending, the main purpose of which is to check the design assumptions and experimental determination of the design parameters of the proposed calculation method. The conducted experimental studies provide an opportunity to test the proposed calculation apparatus and clarify the regularities for determining deflections, angles of rotation of extreme sections, and stresses in the compressed zone of concrete. For analysis, the article presents a typical experimental scheme for the formation and development of cracks in the form of a sweep, as well as characteristic graphs of the dependence of the angles of rotation of end sections.

This paper presents the methodology used for the rehabilitation of the pretreatment stage in a water treatment plant for a village located in Bolivia which has 3500 inhabitants. The treatment plant was initially composed by horizontal-flow roughing filters and slow sand filters, but due to the high contents of colloidal turbidity of the providing source, it did not work properly. A plan of rehabilitation was made which comprised laboratory tests, pilot tests and proposal of modifications based on the results of previous stages. The laboratory tests were made in order to find the optimum conditions to coagulate the raw water. It was found that horizontal-flow roughing filters must be turned into up-flow roughing filters, so a pilot plant was built and was operated for three months in order to find suitable design parameters. The results obtained obtained during the operation of the pilot plant and the proposal of modifications are presented. The results of operation of the final plant, which are also reported, demonstrated the advantages of the up-flow roughing filtration as a pretreatment stage when it is necessary to add chemical products in small treatment plants.

The quality of human life is linked to the exploitation of mining resources. The Exploitability Index (EI) assesses the actual possibilities to enable a mine according to several factors. The environment is one of the most constraining ones, but its analysis is made in a shallow way. This research is focused on its determination, according to a new preliminary methodology that sets the main components of the environmental impact related to the development of an exploitation of industrial minerals and its weighting according to the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). It is applied to the case of the ophitic outcrops in Cantabria (Spain). Twelve components are proposed and weighted with the AHP and an algorithm that allows for assigning a normalized value for the environmental factor to each deposit. Geographic Information Systems (GISs) are applied, allowing us to map a large number of components of the environmental factors. This provides a much more accurate estimation of the environmental factor, with respect to reality, and improves the traditional methodology in a substantial way. It can be established as a methodology for mining spaces planning, but it is suitable for other contexts, and it raises developing the environmental analysis before selecting the outcrop to be exploited.
