ADI learning model supports syntax of learning process through investigative activities of environmental pollution problems and their impact on the ecosystem. The model implements practicum to challenge students' creativity in presenting the results of practicum through students' arguments. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of ADI learning model and evaluate the students' creative thinking skills. This was a quasi-experiment study with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Sample was taken with cluster random sampling technique, 42 students were divided into 2 classes in 7th junior high school at Global Madani School, Bandar Lampung. Results were analyzed using covariance analysis and the effect size was measured by the partial eta-squared value. Aspects of creative thinking skills that were measured: fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration, and metaphorical thinking. The result shows application of ADI learning model had significant effect in improving students' creative thinking skills with a significance value of 0.013 (sig.<0.05). The effect of implementing the ADI learning model had high effectiveness in improving the students' creative thinking skills with partial eta squared value of 0.147 which was categorized as large (sig ≥ 0.14). Therefore, ADI learning model has an effect on improving students 'creative thinking and had an impact on high effectiveness in improving students' creative thinking. Finally, the learning model is recommended for Biology teachers to increase students' creative thinking skills effectively.

Abstract. This research aims to find out the difference of students’ creative thinking skill using the PjBL learning model and conventional learning model for environmental pollution material. This research is a quasi-experiment with pretest-posttest control group design. The population were all the students of class VII and the sample were 34 students of class VII A and VII C. Data collection techniques used an essay. Data analysis in this study was conducted by t-test. The results showed that (1) creative thinking skill of students taught using PjBL learning model of environmental pollution material are in the moderate category with an average value of 58.23; (2) creative thinking skill of students taught using conventional learning model of environmental pollution are in the low category with an average value of 46.70; (3) there is difference of students’ creative thinking skill using PjBL learning model and conventional learning model of environmental pollution materials where students taught through PjBL learning model have higher creative thinking skills than taught by conventional learning model.Keywords: creative thinking skill, project-based learning, coventional learning.

The learning process only focuses on the material by memorizing concepts, students do not use LKPD to do practical work optimally, so the biology learning process in schools does not encourage students to practice critical thinking skills. This study aims to improve students' critical thinking skills by using the PBL learning model combined with STEM-based worksheets on environmental pollution conceptin class 10th SMA Negeri Bireuen district. The approach used is experimental design, the method used is quasi-experimental, with a pretest-posttest design non-equivalent control group design. Population in class 10th IPA SMAN 1 and SMAN 2 Peusangan designed 252 people. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. The research sample was 140 students. The number of samples in the experimental class was 71 people and 69 people in the control class. The instrument used was a reasoned multiple choice question accompanied by a rubric. The data analysis used was n-gain and independent t-test. The results showed that the critical thinking skills obtained was 0.93, with an increase in class critical thinking skills including the high category. The results of the independent sample t-test obtained Sig. (0,000) α (0.05) then Ha is accepted, so it is suggested that there are differences in the critical thinking skills of students between the experimental class and the control class on environmental pollution material in class X SMAN Bireuen. The implementation of PBL learning model combined with STEM-based LKPD can improve students' critical thinking skills on environmental pollution material in class 10th SMA Negeri Bireuen Regency.

This study was aimed to determine the effect of problem based learning and group investigation on: (1) learning outcomes; and (2) creative thinking ability of student in class XI of SMAN 1 Muara Batu. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research with pretest-posttest control group design. Samples were selected using random cluster sampling technique and divided into experimental and control classes. Class XI IPA3 was applied problem-based learning model,  class XI IPA1 was applied to the model group investigation, and class XI IPA2 was applied in the conventional learning (control). Multiple choices were used to measure learning outcomes, while tests of creative thinking skills in the form of essay questions. Data were analyzed using Analysis Covarian (Anacova) at significance level α = 0.05 and followed by Tukey's test with SPSS 21.0. The results showed that: (1) There was an effect of learning model to the learning outcomes of students (F = 14.183, P = 0.000). Students who were taught by problem-based learning model was significantly different from those of group investigation and conventional learning model; and (2) There was an effect of learning model to students creative thinking abilities (F = 12.030, P = 0.000). Students who were taught by problem-based learning model was not significantly different from the group investigation model but differed significantly with students who were taught by conventional learning model.

By the theory, the inquiry learning model can improve the students' mathematical creative thinking skills due to the students learn by themselves intensively, involved in the learning process directly and they can find and investigate any problems logically and systematically. This study aims to find out the inquiry learning process in the Pythagorean Theorem topic and its effectiveness to increase the sudents’ mathematical creative thinking skills. This research used the mixed method with sequential exploratory model. The population of this research is the VIII students of the state islamic junior high school (MTsN) 6 Kerinci. The VIII C and the VIII A of MTsN 6 Kerinci were selected as the experimental and the control group through random sampling technique. The data of learning process was obtained through observation and the data of students' mathematical creative thinking skills was obtained through the tests of mathematical creative thinking skills. The results of data analysis concluded that the inquiry learning model was effective to improve the students’ mathematical creative thinking skills.

The aim of this study was determine the differences of the ability of mathematical creative thinking and the differences in the increase between classes using Problem Based Learning (control class) and the class that uses a model of Problem Based Learning with tangram. The research method used is quasi experimental design of non-equivalent pre-test-post-test control group design. The population in this study were all students of class VII junior high school in Kuningan in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018.� Through purposive sampling technique, 2 classes of 10 classes were selected as samples where the class VIIA as the control class and VIIB as experimental class with a total sample of 70 students. Data collection techniques were obtained through mathematical creative thinking ability test and data analysis technique included normality test, homogeneity test, and t test. The results showed that there were difference in mathematical creative thinking ability and there were difference in the increase between the classes using Problem Based Learning and the classes using a model of Problem Based Learning with tangram.

The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Socioscientific Issues learning approach to improving students' creative thinking ability. Learning with the Socioscintific Issues approach needs to be trained because it not only develops creative thinking skills, but also other abilities can be developed such as critical thinking skills, decision-making and arguing ability. The research method that will be used is quasi experiment with Design Nonequivalent Control Group. This research was conducted at State Junior High School 6 Sukabumi with research population that is class VII (Seven). The sampling technique used is Purposing Sampling. Indicators of creative thinking that is sensitivity, thinking smoothly, thinking flexible, original thinking and thinking detailing. The results showed that the average value of N-gain of the experimental class was 0.56 higher than the control class of 0.44. The results of the z test show that the data produced in accordance with the criteria is zhitung = 3.177> ztabel = 1.998 with a trust level of 0.05 (5%), meaning H0 is rejected and H1 accepted, it means that the Socioscientific Issues learning approach influences the creative thinking ability of learners water pollution material. The response of learners to the learning approach Socioscientific Issue gave a positive response on the approach of learning approaches Socioscientific Issues.Keywords: Creative Thinking, Socioscientific Issues.

Research data was obtained through tests. The results a research show that (1) there was a significan influences a CrPS learning model on students 'creative thinking abilities, (2) there was the influence of the CPS learning model on students' thematic learning outcomes.</p><p class="Abstract"><strong>Abstrak:</strong><em> </em>Tujuan penelian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan perbedaan antara kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan hasil belajar tematik yang diterapkan dengan model pembelajaran CrPS di kelas eksperimen serta siswa yang diterapkan dengan model konvensional di kelas kontrol. This study aimed to describe the effect of problem-based learning on students' critical thinking skills and scientific literacy. This research is a quasi-experimental study with pre-test-post test control group design. Sampling was done by saturated sampling technique in which the experimental class consisted of 35 students and the control class was 34 students. Data on critical thinking skills and student scientific literacy were collected using test instruments which were then analyzed descriptively and statistically. The results showed that the Problem-based Learning model had more effect on students’ critical thinking and scientific literacy (p <0.05) than conventional learning models applied to the control class. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the Problem-based Learning model significantly effect on students’ critical thinking and science literacy in class XI MAN 1 Mataram.

This study examines the problem of improving mathematics learning outcomes among students with cooperative learning model NHT type and conventional learning approaches is reviewed as a whole and for each level of mathematical ability (high, medium, and low). This research is a quasi-experimental research design Nonequivalent Control Group Design uses Simple Random Sampling technique. The population in this study were students of class VII in a private junior high school in the city of Pekanbaru in Riau in the academic year 2014/2015. While the sample is graders VII2 as control class and class VII2 as an experimental class. The instrument used in this study is the mathematics achievement test. Quantitative analysis was performed using two mean difference test. The results showed that: (1) there is significant implementation of cooperative learning model NHT on the results of students' mathematics learning is reviewed as a whole and the level of ability was; (2) there is no effect of the application of cooperative learning model NHT towards mathematics learning outcomes of students based on high and low-level capabilities.

Abstract-this study aims to know, analyze and evaluate the differences of students’ critical thinking skills by using problem based learning model and conventional models. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with quantitative approach using Nonequivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control-Group Design. The data collection technique used in this study is using the test. The data analysis technique is done by independent t-test sample. Moreover, this research shows the significant differences if seen from the average of percentage of  experiment class; pretest is less while posttest is so gratified. The result of pretest control class is less and posttest is enough The results of this research give the recommendation for teachers and next researchers to apply problem based learning model to enhance critical thinking ability of students. In addition, problem based learning model is also expected to encourage students to be able to solve problems encountered in everyday life, especially in social studies.Keywords: Problem based learning, conventional learning model and critical thinking.
