The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Socioscientific Issues learning approach to improving students' creative thinking ability. Learning with the Socioscintific Issues approach needs to be trained because it not only develops creative thinking skills, but also other abilities can be developed such as critical thinking skills, decision-making and arguing ability. The research method that will be used is quasi experiment with Design Nonequivalent Control Group. This research was conducted at State Junior High School 6 Sukabumi with research population that is class VII (Seven). The sampling technique used is Purposing Sampling. Indicators of creative thinking that is sensitivity, thinking smoothly, thinking flexible, original thinking and thinking detailing. The results showed that the average value of N-gain of the experimental class was 0.56 higher than the control class of 0.44. The results of the z test show that the data produced in accordance with the criteria is zhitung = 3.177> ztabel = 1.998 with a trust level of 0.05 (5%), meaning H0 is rejected and H1 accepted, it means that the Socioscientific Issues learning approach influences the creative thinking ability of learners water pollution material. The response of learners to the learning approach Socioscientific Issue gave a positive response on the approach of learning approaches Socioscientific Issues.Keywords: Creative Thinking, Socioscientific Issues.

The aim of this study was determine the differences of the ability of mathematical creative thinking and the differences in the increase between classes using Problem Based Learning (control class) and the class that uses a model of Problem Based Learning with tangram. The research method used is quasi experimental design of non-equivalent pre-test-post-test control group design. The population in this study were all students of class VII junior high school in Kuningan in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018.� Through purposive sampling technique, 2 classes of 10 classes were selected as samples where the class VIIA as the control class and VIIB as experimental class with a total sample of 70 students. Data collection techniques were obtained through mathematical creative thinking ability test and data analysis technique included normality test, homogeneity test, and t test. The results showed that there were difference in mathematical creative thinking ability and there were difference in the increase between the classes using Problem Based Learning and the classes using a model of Problem Based Learning with tangram.

Students' low creative thinking skills and difficulty in drawing graphs from the given algebraic equations are the background of this study. The purpose of this study was to determine the mathematical creative thinking abilities between Android-based GeoGebra and ordinary learning. This study also investigated students’ responses to the application of Android-based GeoGebra. The research method used was quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent group pretest-posttest design. The instruments were a creative thinking test and a questionnaire. The subjects of this study were students of one of the junior high school in Cianjur selected by purposive sampling technique. The studied material was the quadratic equations as a part of algebra. The gain index data analysis technique used was the normality test and the Mann Whitney test while the questionnaire data responses were analyzed through the average percentage of students’ answers. As a result, the students' mathematical creative thinking ability with Android-based GeoGebra was better than ordinary learning. Also, the students provided positive responses to the application of Android-based GeoGebra.

Salah satu keterampilan yang perlu dikembangkan pada zaman sekarang adalah berpikir kreatif. Kenyataannya, siswa enggan menyampaikan penyelesaian selain yang dicontohkan oleh guru ketika diberi masalah. Salah satu pendekatan yang dirancang dengan melibatkan siswa langsung untuk menyampaikan alternatif-alternatif jawaban dalam menyelesaikan masalah adalah Pendekatan Scientific Berbasis Masalah Open-Ended. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan  kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa di kelas yang diterapkan pendekatan scientific berbasis masalah open-ended, (2) mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa di kelas yang diterapkan pendekatan scientific, dan (3) menganalisis pengaruh pendekatan scientific terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa menggunakan permasalahan open-ended. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Quasi Experiment Design dengan teknik purposive sampling. Populasi yang digunakan ialah seluruh siswa kelas 8 SMP Negeri 14 Banjarmasin, sedangkan sampel yang diambil adalah siswa kelas VIII-D dan kelas VIII-E sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian yang dianalisis menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang diterapkan pendekatan scientific berbasis masalah open-ended di SMP Negeri 14 Banjarmasin berada pada tingkat cukup kreatif, (2) Kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa yang diterapkan pendekatan scientific di SMP Negeri 14 Banjarmasin berada pada tingkat kurang kreatif, dan (3) Pendekatan scientific dengan menggu­nakan masalah open-ended berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 14 Banjarmasin. Kata kunci: Kemampuan berpikir kreatif, pendekatan scientific, masalah open-ended. Abstract: One of the skills that needs to be developed today is creative thinking. In fact, students are reluctant to present solutions that were different with the teacher’s examples when they were given problems. One of the approaches designed by involving students directly to present alternative solutions in solving problems is the Open-Ended Scientific Problem-Based Approach. This study aims to (1) describe the students’ creative thinking ability in the classroom that applied an open-ended problem-based scientific approach, (2) describe the students' creative thinking ability in the classroom that were applied a scientific approach, and (3) analyze the influence of scientific approaches to students’ creative thinking ability by using open-ended problems. This research uses Quasi Experiment Design method with purposive sampling technique. The population used was all 8th grade students of SMP Negeri 14 Banjarmasin, while the samples were grade VIII-D and grade VIII-E students as the experimental and the control group respectively. The results of the research show that: (1) students’ creative thinking ability  in the classroom that applied an open-ended problem-based scientific approach in SMP Negeri 14 Banjarmasin were at a sufficiently creative level, (2) the students' creative thinking ability in the classroom that were applied a scientific approach in SMP Negeri 14 Banjarmasin were at a less creative level, and (3) the scientific approach using open-ended problems has an effect on students' creative thinking ability in SMP Negeri 14 Banjarmasin. This study aims to determine the ability of mathematical creative thinking students who learn using the Problem Based Learning approach. The population in this study were students of SMP 1 Jatisari class VIII A in Sukamaju Village which consisted of 18 students and 12 female students. This study was a quasi-experimental study using the results of a trial test pretest-posttest experimental control group. The instrument used in this study is a test to measure mathematical creative thinking skills in the form of 5 questions. Then the score data of students' mathematical creative thinking ability were analyzed statistically by using a difference test of two average values from the results of the pretest-posttest. The results showed that students' creative mathematical thinking ability using the Problem Based Learning approach was different from the results of the pretest-posttest. Besides that students also showed positive perceptions of problem-based learning and there were good results on mathematical creative thinking skills.

ADI learning model supports syntax of learning process through investigative activities of environmental pollution problems and their impact on the ecosystem. The model implements practicum to challenge students' creativity in presenting the results of practicum through students' arguments. The purpose of this study was to analyze the influence of ADI learning model and evaluate the students' creative thinking skills. This was a quasi-experiment study with a pretest-posttest non-equivalent control group design. Sample was taken with cluster random sampling technique, 42 students were divided into 2 classes in 7th junior high school at Global Madani School, Bandar Lampung. Results were analyzed using covariance analysis and the effect size was measured by the partial eta-squared value. Aspects of creative thinking skills that were measured: fluency, flexibility, originality, elaboration, and metaphorical thinking. The result shows application of ADI learning model had significant effect in improving students' creative thinking skills with a significance value of 0.013 (sig.<0.05). The effect of implementing the ADI learning model had high effectiveness in improving the students' creative thinking skills with partial eta squared value of 0.147 which was categorized as large (sig ≥ 0.14). Therefore, ADI learning model has an effect on improving students 'creative thinking and had an impact on high effectiveness in improving students' creative thinking. Finally, the learning model is recommended for Biology teachers to increase students' creative thinking skills effectively.

Creative thinking skills are an important skill that must be owned by students, but most students still have low creative thinking skills. This research aims to describe students' mathematical creative thinking skills through open ended problems. The data collection technique used in this study is to provide mathematical creative thinking skills using open ended questions in students of 8th grade torsina 3 Singkawang as many as 2 problems. The data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion withdrawal. The result of this study is the mathematical creative thinking ability of some students who work on open ended problems have fulfilled the components of profitability and flexibility for problem number 1 but there are also those who do not meet all components. And for problem number 2 most students do not meet all three components of mathematical creative thinking skills. So it can be concluded that the mathematical creative thinking skills of junior high school students who work on open ended problems are in the low category.

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul fisika STEM terintegrasi kearifan lokal “Beduk” untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa SMP. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Kecamatan Balong dengan melibatkan 38 siswa kelas VIII. Data kemampuan berpikir kreatif diukur  melalui tes dan observasi. Kuesioner digunakan untuk mengetahui kelayakan modul berdasarkan validasi ahli dan respon siswa. Hasil menunjukkan modul layak digunakan berdasarkan validasi ahli dengan kategori sangat layak dan didukung respon siswa dengan kategori baik. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa meningkat dengan N-gain sebesar 0,92 dengan kategori tinggi. Modul Fisika STEM terintegrasi kearifan lokal “beduk” untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif ini layak digunakan sebagai pendamping buku paket di sekolah. Abstract: This study aims to develop a STEM physics module integrated with "Beduk" local wisdom to improve junior high school students' creative thinking skills. The research design used was Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The research was conducted in the SMPN 2 Balong involving 38 class students VIII. The creative thinking ability were measured through tests and observations. The questionnaire was used to determine the feasibility of the module based on expert validation and student responses. The results show that the module is feasible to use based on expert validation, with very feasible categories and supported by students' responses in good categories. Students' creative thinking ability increases with N-gain of 0.92 with a high category. The STEM physics module integrates "beduk" local wisdom to improve creative thinking skills worthy of being used as a companion to school textbooks.

The research aims to describe the level of creative thinking ability of students in solving mathematics olympiad problems based on students' metacognition levels by using the qualitative descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were the students at State of Junior High School (SMPN) 2 Jember involving the learning of Olympiad mathematics. The data collection was carried out based on the student's creative thinking ability test sheets, interviews, and observations. Test questions given to the students were mathematics olympiad questions. The analysis of the Miles and Huberman models were used for data analysis. The results exhibited that the level of creative thinking skills of the students in solving mathematics Olympiad questions were 29.41% (less creative), 41.18% (quite creative), 11.76% (creative) and 17.65% (very creative). On the other hand, the metacognitive level of SMPN 2 Jember students were 64.71% at level 2 (aware use), 23.53% at level 3 (strategic use) and 11.76% at level 4 (reflective use). In addition, the literatures indicate that there are several factors affectting the creative thinking skills and metacognition level, among them is an understanding of the information of the problem, compiling an appropriate strategies, skills of the chosen strategy, skills of answer elaboration, mastery of the Mathematics Olympiad material and a tendency to rely on the memorization or imitations based on previous or discussed solutions.

The purpose of this research is to determine: (1) the difference of the science process skills of students learning using group workshop method with students using the discussion method; (2) differences in the condition above, after the ability of creative thinking covariable is controlled; and (3) the contribution of creative thinking covariable towards the science process skills of students. This experimental research used the post-test only control group design, with the population of 210 students of grade XI SMA Negeri 7 Kota Kupang. The total samples were 140 students, distributed in 2 experimental classes and 2 control classes. The data was collected by observing the science process skills using creative thinking skill test. The data were analyzed in descriptive and inferential statistics using one-way covariance analysis (Anacova). The result indicated that: (1) there was a significant difference of science process skills between the students learning using the group workshop method with students learning using the discussion method with an F value of 50,964; p ≤ 0.05.; (2) Having controlled the student’s creative thinking ability, there was a significant difference between student’s science process skills among students who enrolled in group workshop method with the students enrolled in the discussion method; where F=17.822; p ≤ 0,05. (3) Creative thinking ability contributed to the science process skills with the coefficient of determination equals to r2=(0,430)2 = 0,185 or 18,5%. The results indicate that the application of group workshop methods has positive effect on improving students' science process skills and creative thinking skills.
