Abstract Coronavirus is spreading an outbreak in the world and the medical staffs have been coming under further strain with increasing in patients referring to the hospital. Real-time health monitoring systems play a critical role in prevention, control the pandemic disease, and enhance the entire health care service delivery in real-time, and influence on visiting the hospital visiting the hospital. In this paper, a hierarchical architecture for the Internet of Things is improved using resource and task management techniques for reducing emergency response time and enhanced the patients’ quality of experiences considering energy consumption, network delay, cost of execution in the cloud and network usage. In this proposed scenario, the task is divided into subtasks and processes depending on their functions with different execution times. This method also has led to improving the fog architecture. This proposed method is modeled are evaluated in terms of the specified parameters, using the iFogsim toolkit. The results showed an improvement of 80 percent in their parameters such as cost of execution, total network usage, and average delays, compared to the cloud and other common architecture.

<p><strong>BACKGROUND &amp; OBJECTIVE:</strong> Demand for health care service has significantly increased, while the quality of healthcare has become both a national and an international priority. This paper aims to identify the gaps and the current initiatives for optimizing the quality of care and patient safety in Malaysia.</p><p><strong>DESIGN:</strong> A narrative review of the literature. Highly cited articles were used as the basis to retrieve and review the current initiatives for optimizing the quality of care and patient safety. The country health plan of Ministry of Health (MOH) and the MOH Annual Reports in Malaysia were reviewed.</p><p><strong>RESULTS: </strong>The MOH has set four strategies for optimizing quality and sustaining quality of life. The 10<sup>th</sup> Malaysia Health Plan promotes the theme “1 Care for 1 Malaysia” in order to sustain the quality of care. Despite of these efforts, the total number of complaints received by the medico-legal section of the MOH is increasing. The current global initiatives indicted that quality performance generally belong to three main categories: patient; staffing; and working environment related factors.</p><p><strong>CONCLUSION: </strong>There is no single intervention of optimizing quality of care to maintain patient safety. Multidimensional efforts and interventions are recommended in order to optimize the quality of care and patient safety in Malaysia.</p>

Diabetes is rising like an epidemic in India. The prevalence of diabetes in India has reached an alarming level of 72.95 millions. The purpose of this article is to assess the relative importance of various health care service attributes in diabetes care. Our study uses secondary research and focus group discussion to identify the attributes of a diabetes specialty clinic. The attributes included in the questionnaire were the quality of the care provide by the health care givers, spend per visit, hospitalization expense, waiting time and the distance to the hospital. Conjoint analysis was used to assess the relative importance of the attributes. It was found that the hospital’s quality was the most important attribute while the distance to the hospital was the attribute with the least importance. Although the quality of the hospital is the most important criterion in selecting a hospital in diabetes care, factors like waiting time, spend per visit, and hospitalization expense play an important role in the selection. We assess the relative importance of these factors for the diabetic patients in India. The study is first of its kind and could help policy makers in designing better health care services in diabetes care.

In UAV mapping using direct geo-referencing, the formation of stochastic model generally takes into the account the different types of measurements required to estimate the 3D coordinates of the feature points. Such measurements include image tie point coordinate measurements, camera position measurements and camera orientation measurements. In the commonly used stochastic model, it is commonly assumed that all tie point measurements have the same variance. In fact, these assumptions are not always realistic and thus, can lead to biased 3D feature coordinates. Tie point measurements for different image feature objects may not have the same accuracy due to the facts that the geometric distribution of features, particularly their feature matching conditions are different. More importantly, the accuracies of the geo-referencing measurements should also be considered into the mapping process. In this paper, impacts of typical stochastic models on the UAV mapping are investigated. It has been demonstrated that the quality of the geo-referencing measurements plays a critical role in real-time UAV mapping scenarios.

The solitory custom community of Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) is one of group society whose life are depend to the natural researches in the forest. It is needed an effort to provide service in order to meet their needed, especially health care service for improving their quality of life in the solitary custom Community of Suku Anak Dalam.  This research was conducted in order to know about the persepsion of SAD society towards Health Care Service in the Working Area of Puskesmas Pematang Kabau. This research was conducted on Januari until February 2017 for the purpose of getting understanding about persepsion of solitary custom Community of Suku Anak Dalam towards health care service, the number of participants were 15 people. This is qualitative research with purposive sampling method. The research instruments were indepth interview and interview guide. The result of the research analyzed by using Colaizzi Technique. The finding of the research showed five themes:  the reason of SAD Society in terms of receiving care service. Secondly, the respond of SAD society, thirdly, about the changing and the impact of SAD society. Fourth, the meaning of health care service to SAD society. And fifth the experience of SAD society towards health and service.SAD society gave respond about perception or possitive support towards Health Care Service.

PurposeUnder the impact of Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), this paper contributes in the deployment of the Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT)-based system, namely AIoT-based Domestic Care Service Matching System (AIDCS), to the existing electronic health (eHealth) system so as to enhance the delivery of elderly-oriented domestic care services.Design/methodology/approachThe proposed AIDCS integrates IoT and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to (1) capture real-time health data of the elderly at home and (2) provide the knowledge support for decision making in the domestic care appointment service in the community.FindingsA case study was conducted in a local domestic care centre which provided elderly oriented healthcare services to the elderly. By integrating IoT and AI into the service matching process of the mobile apps platform provided by the local domestic care centre, the results proved that customer satisfaction and the quality of the service delivery were improved by observing the key performance indicators of the transactions after the implementation of the AIDCS.Originality/valueFollowing the outbreak of COVID-19, this is a new attempt to overcome the limited research done on the integration of IoT and AI techniques in the domestic care service. This study not only inherits the ability of the existing eHealth system to automatically capture and monitor the health status of the elderly in real-time but also improves the overall quality of domestic care services in term of responsiveness, effectiveness and efficiency.

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to suggest a typology of customer value cocreation activities and explore the psychological drivers and quality of life outcomes of such activities in a complex health care service setting. Design/methodology/approach Focus groups with people with Type 2 diabetes and in-depth interviews with diabetes educators were conducted. Findings Four types of customer value cocreation activities were found (mandatory (customer), mandatory (customer or organization), voluntary in-role and voluntary extra-role activities). In addition, health locus of control, self-efficacy, optimism, regulatory focus and expected benefits are identified as key psychological factors underlying the customers’ motivation to be active resource integrators and resulting in physical, psychological, existential and social well-being. Originality/value The study highlights the various types of customer value cocreation activities and how these affect the various quality of life dimensions.
