The main purpose of this article is to use the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method to empirically study the key competency and capabilities affecting the selection of middle managers for global shipping logistics service providers (GSLSPs). To facilitate this theme for obtaining key competency and capabilities, a list of five management competency with twenty-five capabilities are preliminary summarized. Subsequently, the proposed fuzzy AHP method is applied to measure relative weights for evaluating these competency and capabilities. The appraisal approach is then to perform empirical survey via AHP expert questionnaires. Finally, the empirical results show that: (1) ‘professional competency’ is the most important management competency affecting the selection of middle managers for GSLSPs. (2) In order of relative importance, the top six key management capabilities affecting the selection of middle managers for GSLSPs are the ‘capability to manage work pressure,’ ‘capability to manage crisis,’ ‘capability to lead team awareness,’ ‘capability to manage interpersonal networks perfectly,’ ‘capability to use logistics expertise to enhance work efficiency,’ and ‘capability to effectively build team spirit and work atmosphere,’ respectively. Furthermore, concluding remarks are provided in this article.

In this article, a set of key management indicators related to performance of execution, planning, costs, effectiveness, human resources, data quality, and logistics, are considered for the evaluation of a project. Several automated tools support project managers in this task. However, these tools are still insufficient to accurately assess projects in organizations with continuous improvement management styles and with presence of uncertainty in the primary data. An alternative solution is the introduction of soft computing techniques, allowing gains in robustness, efficiency, and adaptability in these tools. This paper presents an adaptivenetwork- based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) to optimize projects evaluation made with the Xedro-GESPRO tool. The implementation of the system allowed the adjustment of fuzzy sets parameters in the inference rules for the assessment of projects, based on the automatic calculation of indicators. The contribution of this research lies in the application of ANFIS soft computing technique to optimize the evaluation of projects integrated with the management tool. The results contribute to the improvement of existing decision-making support tools into organizations towards project-oriented production.

The quality management system is still an under-research area. This article provides an understanding of the «connecting processes» category for the further development of the theory and the practice of the quality management. A business organization must continuously create and improve the types and the forms of the communication, the management decisions and the balance. This is achieved through their continuous sequence. The work identifies the main criteria and parameters of the quality, the requirements and the conditions for the quality ensuring of the linking processes, identifies the key management indicators in the implementation of the linking processes

Now days, wireless technology is one of the center of attention for users and researchers. Wireless network is a network having large number of sensor nodes and hence called as “Wireless Sensor Network (WSN)”. WSN monitors and senses the environment of targeted area. The sensor nodes in WSN transmit data to the base station depending on the application. These sensor nodes communicate with each other and routing is selected on the basis of routing protocols which are application specific. Based on network structure, routing protocols in WSN can be divided into two categories: flat routing, hierarchical or cluster based routing, location based routing. Out of these, hierarchical or cluster based routing is becoming an active branch of routing technology in WSN. To allow base station to receive unaltered or original data, routing protocol should be energy-efficient and secure. To fulfill this, Hierarchical or Cluster base routing protocol for WSN is the most energy-efficient among other routing protocols. Hence, in this paper, we present a survey on different hierarchical clustered routing techniques for WSN. We also present the key management schemes to provide security in WSN. Further we study and compare secure hierarchical routing protocols based on various criteria.
