Within the body of the National Police, the Polsekta / Polsek have an important role in protecting, nurturing, serving and enforcing the law in the Tegowanu Police area community. Therefore, the Tegowanu Police are required to be able to serve the community where one of the main tasks of the Republic of Indonesia Police is as a public servant. As one of the law enforcement officers, the National The old work agenda system still uses manual methods and takes a lot of time and with this system will slow down the performance of Polsek members. Documentation of activities carried out by the Tegowanu Police Officer cannot be seen by the police chief and members, because photo documentation is only stored on the officer's computer. Another problem is that there is no data storage for community activity data and activity schedules, because there is no storage in the database so that data processing has not been well integrated. By designing a Performance-based Activity information system using the Object Oriented Method at the Tegowanu Police, Resort Grobogan is expected to help data processing so that it is more well integrated and the reporting process and data retrieval are faster if data is needed at any time and create an integrated system with the database. The information that will be built can speed up the process of processing and sending information and activities of the Tegowanu Police to the head of the Sector Police.

In March of 2009, business students at a large public university in the Los Angeles area were polled about their attitudes towards a new menu-labeling law that was about to be implemented in California. It was hypothesized that the students would be in favor of the law and that those in favor of it would be inclined to select healthier items on the menu.  Moreover, it was hypothesized that the law would be favored more by females than males, and more by persons who perceive themselves as overweight than those who perceive themselves as average weight. Support was found for all of the hypotheses except for the one concerning a person’s perceived weight status. A student’s perceived weight status appears to have no effect on his or her reaction to the new menu-labeling law. The survey results indicate that menu-labeling will be effective in promoting better eating habits among college students who dine out.

The police is an institution serving the society, its task being to enforce the law and take all actions aimed at eliminating its violations. As a uniformed and armed force, it plays an important role in the state security system, including prosecution of individuals who do not comply with applicable legal norms. The police offi cer’s profession enjoys particular respect, but to ensure the correctness of the service performed, only those who meet the requirements specifi ed for this profession can join the ranks of the police. The article presents topics related to the recruitment process, and the role of internal control as elements of crime prevention in the Polish police. A special role has been assigned to recruitment, which is responsible for verifying the admitted people – their character traits, moral attitudes, emotional stability, as well as health and physical fi tness. In turn, the task of control is, on the one hand, to ensure the correctness of service, and on the other hand, to reveal any irregularities and to strive to remove them. The internal control in the police is the responsibility of the Control Bureau at the National Police HQ under the direct supervision of the National Police Chief, Provincial HQ Control Departments under the supervision of the Provincial Police Chiefs, and inspections by designated persons under the supervision of the City Police Chiefs. In addition, new technologies have been introduced in the police for more effective control, including determining the location of offi cers (using the GPS system) and recording interventions (by body-worn cameras). The said technology also has a preventive function against breaking the law. The measure of control affects the number of all crimes revealed in the police environment. The analysis of revealed irregularities has shown that more than 50% of them are corruption-related offences, and therefore this aspect has been widely discussed in the article.

AbstractThe article considers the research developed by the UniNomade project concerning the global financial crisis within the theoretical framework of Italian ‘workerism’ and post-workerist theory. On the whole, the UniNomade project offers a rich variety of stimuli to debate. However, in the work of UniNomade, there are some problematic elements, particularly when the authors invoke a series of ‘excesses’ in ‘cognitive capitalism’. This review-article argues that the old post-workerist thesis of an obsolescence of the law of value introduces into UniNomade’s work an ambiguous determinism.
