The paper considers goals and problems of information-management system interoperability support of the regional situational centers. Three types of the information system components interoperability support problem at technological, semantic and organizational interaction level are assigned. Problem-solving directions of information system interoperability support of regional situational centers based on application of multi-agent technologies and ontologies are proposed. That provides system component integration in the unified network-centric environment and information resources sharing.

The strategic planning of developing any information system is the key factor of progress any organization. Hence, SWOT (Strength, weakness, opportunities and threats) analysis for the strategic planning of developing information system has proved to be a good analysis tool for further development and progress of the universities/organization. Further, the implementation of computerized student information management system has become an important issue within the university campus to exchange such information between students and staff. Many studies have developed student information system through the converting of paper-based system to computer-based system in order to facilitate the work of staff. However, none of these studies focused on the development of such systems based on the strategic planning using SWOT technique. Therefore, this research focuses on the requirements needed to develop student information system based on the aforementioned strategic planning technique. Some universities located in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq have been tacking to do the investigation. Moreover, SWOT technique was selected to find strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of developing such system. The findings of this research were processed as matching strengths with opportunities and converting weaknesses or threats to strengths or opportunities. Based on the results, it has been found that the need to address student information systems is of utmost importance now more than ever in order to survive and continue in the competition environment.

The cladding industry has been experiencing a rapid development since two decades ago. The client’s requirements and architect’s ambition make the building cladding become more complex than ever before. The technical complexity calls for more comprehensive managerial techniques, especially information management. This paper proposes a web-based information management system, in which software package was developed and hardware incorporated. After establishing the framework initially, a main challenge, information sources, of this mechanism was discussed.

Military information system has unusually tough restrictions on the rank, and attaches weight to the safety and secrecy of the information. This makes the higher demands on access control on information. So a new access control model based on RBAC is prompted against the limitation of the existing models of RBAC. This model is named as fine-grained access control model based on RBAC. This model not only assigns different roles to different users, but also adds an attribute of department ,so the role and the department are combined; It realizes fine-grained access control and refines to controls of pages, so this keeps access control more precise; Role tree is used to define roles and in order to prevent the problem brought up by role inheriting, it impose s restrictions on whether it can role inherit; At last, ACL store the especial instances’ alteration. When a control is accessed, it will examine the role and department and then judge whether it can role inherit and then judge by combing ACL. So this will attain access control objective. The fulfillment indicates that this model can meet the requirement of real application of military information management system.

Abstract. eLTER was a “Horizon 2020” project with the aim of advancing the development of long-term ecosystem research infrastructure in Europe. This paper describes how eLTER Information System infrastructure has been expanded by a climate service data product providing access to specifically pre-processed regional climate change scenario data from a state-of-the-art regional climate model ensemble of the Coordinated Regional Downscaling Experiment (CORDEX) for 702 registered ecological research sites across Europe. This tailored, expandable, easily accessible dataset follows FAIR principles and allows researchers to describe the climate at these sites, explore future projections for different climate change scenarios and make regional climate change assessments and impact studies. The data for each site are available for download from the EUDAT collaborative data infrastructure B2SHARE service and can be easily accessed and visualised through the Dynamic Ecological Information Management System – Site and Dataset Registry (DEIMS-SDR), a web-based information management system which shares detailed information and metadata on ecological research sites around the globe. This paper describes these data and how they can be accessed by users through the extended eLTER Information System architecture. The data and supporting information are available from B2SHARE. Each individual site (702 sites are available) dataset has its own DOI. To aid data discovery, a persistent B2SHARE lookup table has been created which matches the DOIs of the individual B2SHARE record with each DEIMS site ID. This lookup table is available at https://doi.org/10.23728/b2share.bf41278d91b445bda4505d5b1eaac26c (eLTER EURO-CORDEX Climate Service, 2020).
