Selective regimes favouring the evolution of functional specialization probably affect covariation among phenotypic traits. Phalanges of most tetrapods develop from a conserved module that constrains their relative proportions. In geckos, however, biomechanical specializations associated with adhesive toepads involve morphological variation in the autopodium and might reorganize such modular structures. We tested two hypotheses to explain the modular architecture of hand bones in geckos, one based on developmental interactions and another incorporating functional associations related to locomotion, and compared the empirical support for each hypothetical module between padded and padless lineages. We found strong evidence for developmental modules in most species, which probably reflects embryological constraints during phalangeal formation. Although padded geckos exhibit a functional specialization involving the hyperextension of the distal phalanges that is absent in padless species, the padless species are the ones that show a distal functional module with high integration. Some ancestrally padless geckos apparently deviate from developmental predictions and present a relatively weak developmental module of phalanges and a strongly integrated distal module, which may reflect selective regimes involving incipient frictional adhesion in digit morphology. Modularity of digit elements seems dynamic along the evolutionary history of geckos, being associated with the presence/absence of adhesive toepads.

This article is aimed at studying the design and implementation of a football player training management system based on smart images. Based on the analysis of the importance of informatization for scientific football training, system performance requirements and intelligent image detection technology, the football player training management is designed. The overall architecture of the system, and the detailed design of each functional module of the system. It mainly includes football player information management module, football player training plan viewing module, training goal formulation module and training information feedback module. The realization of the training management system relies on intelligent image technology to detect and track athletes. Finally, the performance of the system was tested. The test results show that the expected response time of each module of the system when different numbers of users are accessed is within 3 seconds. The longest actual time is 2.64 s, and the actual shortest time is 1.18 s. It can be seen that the response time of the system meets the demand. At the same time, the system throughput rate meets the requirements of this article, and the user pass rate is also above 95%, indicating that the performance of the football player training management system designed in this article is better.

Chromosomes readily unlink from one another and segregate to daughter cells during cell division highlighting a remarkable ability of cells to organize long DNA molecules. SMC complexes mediate chromosome folding by DNA loop extrusion. In most bacteria, SMC complexes start loop extrusion at the ParB/parS partition complex formed near the replication origin. Whether they are recruited by recognizing a specific DNA structure in the partition complex or a protein component is unknown. By replacing genes in Bacillus subtilis with orthologous sequences from Streptococcus pneumoniae, we show that the three subunits of the bacterial Smc complex together with the ParB protein form a functional module that can organize and segregate chromosomes when transplanted into another organism. Using chimeric proteins and chemical cross-linking, we find that ParB binds to the Smc subunit directly. We map a binding interface to the Smc joint and the ParB CTP-binding domain. Structure prediction indicates how the ParB clamp presents DNA to the Smc complex to initiate DNA loop extrusion.

The traditional data automatic office system has limited mining and computing capabilities. Due to the iterative complexity of data mining algorithms, it is difficult to discover the relationships and rules existing in the Internet of Things data as well as impossible to advance the efficiency of the office system based on the existing Internet of Things data. This paper combines cloud computing and machine learning to construct an intelligent network office system, realizes large-scale IoT data processing through the combination of IoT data mining technology and cloud computing framework, and constructs the functional module structure of the intelligent network office system through demand analysis. On this basis, this paper conducts system performance verification and conducts experimental design based on network intelligent system demand. The experimental results show that the system constructed in this paper has certain practical effects, which can provide theoretical reference for subsequent related research.

Abstract C language programming is more and more favoured by the majority of technical personnel in embedded systems. The application of C language technology in computer software programming can effectively avoid unnecessary language logic problems, ensure the smooth progress of programming work and effectively improve the quality and efficiency of programming. For the development of C language embedded system, the programming ideas of system software are explained, the functional module division based on hierarchical design is given, and the realization methods of project organization, program framework design, module reuse design, etc. in the software development process are clarified. To solve the contradiction between C language flexibility and application development engineering. Although it is introduced for the ARM platform, the basic experience and algorithms are also suitable for software design on other embedded platforms.

Abstract In order to make each functional module of silage machinery have a high degree of adaptability and meet the market demand of coordinated operation of each functional module, this paper preliminarily explores the symbiosis concept in the field of silage equipment, and applies the technology system evolution theory to the symbiotic design of silage equipment. In the design stage, the designers divide the functional modules of the silage machinery according to the market and user needs, and then analyze the symbiosis of the interrelated modules and screen out the functional modules with weak adaptability, so as to carry out the technical system evolution and optimize each functional module, and then establish the layout scheme between modules, so that the various functional modules of the silage machinery have strong adaptability, improve product quality, reduce design costs, shorten the design cycle, and realize the user’s demand for the coordinated operation of multi-functional silage machinery.

Angiogenesis is a crucial event in the pathogenesis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Arsenic trioxide (ATO, As2O3) has been reported to inhibit synovial angiogenesis via the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-centered functional module. However, the exact mechanisms of ATO on VEGF modulation remain unclear. Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are emerging as important regulators in RA, and the detailed mechanisms remain largely unknown. Here, we reported a circRNA (circHIPK3), the expression of which was significantly increased in RA fibroblast-like synoviocytes (RA-FLS) after TNF-α induction. Moreover, VEGF content in the supernatants of a RA-FLS and human dermal microvascular endothelial cell (HDMEC) co-culture as well as in RA-FLS co-cultured was significantly elevated in accordance with circHIPK3 levels. This increased VEGF expression may significantly upregulate endothelial tube formation and transwell migration, as well as microvessel sprouting in the ex vivo aortic ring assay. CircHIPK3 was further illustrated to be a sponge for the forkhead box transcription factor O1 (FOXO1)-targeting miR-149-5p, leading to the changing expression of the downstream VEGF. These networked factors mainly form a functional module regulating angiogenesis in RA-FLS, and the expression of this functional module could be significantly downregulated by ATO with a consistently reduced vascularity in vitro. In the collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) mice model, an intra-articular injection of the adeno-associated virus-si-circHIPK3 or ATO was demonstrated to alleviate the synovial VEGF expression and arthritis severity respectively. Thus, we elucidate a previously unknown mechanism between circRNAs and RA, and ATO has a significant protective effect on RA-FLS and CIA synovium via its inhibition of the angiogenic functional module of circHIPK3/miR-149-5p/FOXO1/VEGF, suggesting great potential for the combination therapy of ATO with circHIPK3 silencing.
