This research aims to determine the role female farmers in development of rural aquaculture and the factors that influence the role of women farmers in rural aquaculture Development. This research was conducted in January to February 2020 in Bulukumba Regency. The t test analysis method was the comparative test. The results indicate that the Role of Women Farmers in the Development of Rural Aquaculture in Bulukumba Regency had a positive impact and the average income of the groups receiving assistance had increased incomes. The results of the calculation of multiple regression analysis show that the factors that influence the role of women farmers in the economic improvement was age, degree level, land area, and level of experience, while the nature of work and the number of dependents do not directly affect the increase in income of farmers in economic improvement activities.

 Abstrak; Kemiskinan dan ketahanan pangan merupakan dua fenomena yang saling berkaitan, bahkan dapat disebut sebagai hubungan sebab akibat. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa keadaan ketahanan pangan yang rentan dapat menjadi sumber kemiskinan, sebaliknya kemiskinan dapat menyebabkan seseorang tidak memiliki ketahanan pangan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi ketahanan pangan rumah tangga wanita tani, mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi ketahanan pangan pada tingkat rumah tangga wanita tani dan mengetahui peran wanita tani terkait pendapatan dan pendidikan dalam ketahanan pangan rumah tangga di Kecamatan Simpang Tiga Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rumah tangga responden dengan kategori kurang pangan sebesar 45% dan rumah tangga kategori rawan pangan sebesar 55%. Nilai PPH rumah tangga respoden adalah 58,6 menunjukkan tidak seimbangnya mutu gizi rumah tangga responden. Peran wanita tani dalam ketahanan pangan rumah tangga kurang terlihat dikarenakan rendahnya pendapatan dan rendahnya tingkat pendidikan wanita tani. Variable yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat ketahanan pangan adalah pendapatan kepala keluarga. Sementara faktor lainnya seperti pendidikan wanita tani, pendapatan wanita tani dan jumlah anggota keluarga tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan.Abstract; The Role of Female Farmers on Food Security Poor Households at Simpang Tiga District in Aceh Besar Regency                     Poverty and food security are the two phenomena that are linked each other, it is also called a causal relationship. It can be said that vulnerable food security condition are the source of poverty, in the other hand, poverty could  cause a person does not have a food security.This study aims to determine the condition of household food security of women farmers, to know the factors which influence food security at the women farmers household level and to know the role of women farmers related to income and education in household food security in Simpang Tiga District Aceh Besar Regency. The results show that the household respondents with less food category by 45% and household food insecurity category by 55%. PPH value of household respondents was 58.6, this  indicates an imbalance in the nutritional quality of the respondent's household. The Role of women farmers in household food security is less visible due to low income and low educational levels of women farmers. The head of  households income is significant variable that influence the level of food security is. While the educational factors, income of women farmers, and number of household members is not significant.

This paper presents results of the process focused on achieving of the gender equality and development of the agriculture sector. Implementation of the both programs presents the parabola symmetry axes where the strenthening the capacity of the women farmers and dehkans and increasing of their family’s wellbeing are going hand in hand in Uzbekistan. The Government of Uzbekistan has been prioritized improvement of legislative and institutional base for further ensuring equality for women in all spheres of life including agriculture sector. This paper shed lights on important gender aspects of rural development and concludes that the potential of rural women’s economic status and involvement has not yet been reached.

Women farmers could contribute to reducing poverty in rural areas; for example, empowering women farmers could improve their ability to produce lowland rice. This study aimed to analyze the socioeconomic factors that affected the role of women farmers in the production of lowland rice; also, to analyze the effect and the role of women farmers on lowland rice yields. Data collection included a questionnaire and involved 168 respondents, who were taken by the census. Data analysis used multiple and logit regression of Cobb-Douglas models. The results showed that education and farming income had a positive and significant effect on the role of women farmers in lowland rice production. The yield of lowland rice was affected by land area, urea fertilizer, SP-36 fertilizer, labor, and the role of women farmers.

Agriculture plays a very important role in providing food and raw material for industries that is why it is acknowledged as the back bone of agrarian societies. Globally, women contributed remarkably in the agriculture sector. Pakistani women are also playing an important role in the agricultural and economic development of the country. Although Karachi is famous around the world as a large metropolis and industrial sector, but the surrounding sub-rural areas also play a big role in the agriculture sector and women are also equal contributor of this sector. The objectives of this study to highlighted the role of women labourer in agricultural development of Karachi. The researcher used purposive sampling method to collect data through interview schedule from 200 women agricultural labourer of sub-urban Karachi. The findings of the study highlights that these women work equal as men but earn less. They work eight to nine hours daily in the farm but get only100-120 rupees per day. They do not spend their income as their own choice. In addition, they work to increase their daily livelihood along farm work. The study concludes that introduction of new technical courses and training for agriculture and market requirements would help women farmers to improve their income and financial status.

This study aims to describe the extent of involvement of women landowners in managing their land and analyze the dual role of women landowners and the contribution of women landowner income to household economic welfare from the Land Redistribution program in Blitar District. The research method uses a qualitative approach. Data was collected through Focus Group Discussion (FGD), In-depth Interviews, participatory observation, and documentation.Determination of the sample using the snowball sampling technique and obtained 30 informants as farmers (male and female). The selection of 8 key informants was determined by purposive sampling. Data analysis uses Harvard Model gender analysis techniques, qualitative analysis of phenomenology, and analysis of household income contribution. The results showed that in 12 stages of productive activities 6 activities were carried out by farmers again, 2 activities were carried out by women farmers, and 4 activities were carried out together. The division of gender activities shows that 71% of reptoductive activities are carried out by women landowners or wives. Whereas the social activities of women devote the same time with a percentage of 50%. However, in the formal management of the Land Redistribution program and coaching there is no special attention to the role of women in the management and sustainability of the program. The contribution of women landholders to household income is Rp. 31,900,530 / year or 50% of total household income. Nevertheless, women who own land are able to allocate their time to continue to carry out their reproductive roles in the household while men do not. This research proves that women landowners have the potential to achieve successful management of agricultural land and are able to improve household economic prosperity.

<p>The growing food needs become a significant issue due the population increases, farming lands converted, and climate change. One of attempt to support food needs is utilizing gardening that are environmental friendly and based on local resources. Optimizing gardening through women farmers group can be a huge potential in sustainability gardening. Therefore the role of women farm leaders is essential to direct their members toward this purpose. The objective of research was to analyze the influence of women farm leaders in gardening utilization. This research was conducted in Bogor through a survey method. Number of respondents was 75 people with a proportional simple random sampling technique. The data was collected in February to April 2014 and was analyzed using regression model. The result showed that gardening utilization sustainability was still similar with Food Consumption Acceleration Movement (P2KP) program, as seen from the types and number of plants. The role of women farm leaders that affect gardening utilization sustainability were motivators, and problem solvers. Groups leaders involvement in the utilization gardening can affect group members to maintain activities gardening post P2KP program. The role of groups leaders can be increased through extension activities, the use of communication media, and interact with other sources of information.</p><p>Keywords: role, food needs, yard, women farmers</p>
