Groundwater exploitation will cause significant subsidence to the ground, then influence the deformation of embankment for high-speed railway lines, which may threaten the safety of train operation. To study the law of embankment deformation aroused by groundwater exploitation near high-speed railway lines, a 3D fluid-solid coupling model is established based on infiltrating solidification theory and using finite element software ABAQUS, and embankment deformations caused by different pumping rates and pumping distance are analyzed. The results show that pumping rate and pumping distance are both of great influence on the deformations of embankment for high-speed railway lines. Therefore, in order to control the effects of groundwater exploitation on embankment, it should be forbidden to add new pumping well near the railway lines and groundwater exploitation should be strictly limited within the influence scope.

With the rapid development of high-speed railway in China, the aerodynamic brake is very likely to be an important emergency braking mode of high-speed train in the future. This paper takes aerodynamic braking wing as the object, and uses the finite element software to divide the meshes, then analyses the model influenced by static stress. After simulating the vibratory frequency response of the model in the flow field, it finds that the largest deformation happens in the middle of the upper edge of the wind wing, when the wind speed gets to 500km/h and the load frequency to 4Hz. Some conclusions of this thesis can provide reference for researching the applying the aerodynamic brake in the high-speed trains and laying the foundation for solving the riding and braking safety problems.

Land settlement produced by groundwater exploitation may cause larger deformation of the high-speed subgrade. To meet the settlement control requirements after construction of the high standard of high-speed railway subgrade, Pile-Slab composite foundation treatment technology keeps developing and applying in high-speed railway construction. However, the settlement deformation calculation theory of Pile-Slab composite foundation is not mature, in particular, the research for Pile-Slab composite foundation deformation caused by groundwater exploitation is seldom, which is far behind the requirements of engineering practice. To study the effect of exploiting groundwater near the highspeed railway on Pile-Slab composite foundation deformation, in this paper, we establish 3D fluid-solid coupling model using ABAQUS, analyze the effect of different groundwater exploiting quantities on high-speed railway subgrade when CFG piles are used to strengthen the foundation, and compare to the result with no CFG piles. The analysis shows that in the condition of pumping water, CFG Pile-Slab composite foundation has a significant effect on decreasing subgrade lateral deformation and settlement which are reduced by 70%.

In order to meet the requirements of high-speed train's safe operation, the horizontal displacement of high-speed railway bridge pier top must be strictly controlled. This paper relies on one road construction engineering beneath an existing high-speed railway bridge. We use 2D finite element software to analyze the magnitude and direction of pier top horizontal displacement caused by road load. We take it into account that the effect of the soil nature on pier top horizontal displacement. The analysis showed that the nature of soil around piles of high-speed railway bridge is closely related to the magnitude and direction of the pier top horizontal displacement. Authors believe that the horizontal displacement of pier top consists of two parts. One is pier top pure horizontal displacement dragged by horizontal displacement of the top of piles, the other is pier top rotation horizontal displacement driven by the rotation of pile cap. The analysis result can be used for the design of road with embankment structure beneath high-speed railway bridge.

The deformation of a bridge foundation (i.e. pier) for a ballastless track of a high-speed railway may cause additional irregularities within the track, thereby affecting train operation. By using a unit slab ballastless track bridge system as the research object, this study built a finite element model and a train–track dynamic interaction model. The additional rail deformation caused by the vertical or lateral deformation of a bridge pier was calculated by the finite element model, and then the effects on train operation due to the additional rail deformation were analyzed by the train–track dynamic model. It was found that the lateral deformation of a single pier should be of the most concern for the management and control of a high-speed railway. Specifically, when a pier suffered settlement and lateral deformation concurrently, the evaluation indices of train operation were primarily affected by the magnitude of the lateral deformation, and were only slightly affected by the settlement.

With the rapid development of high-speed railway, dynamic interaction between vehicles and track is correspondingly strengthened. Therefore, dynamic responses analysis of the high-speed vehicles and track become more and more important to the train operation safety, riding comfort as well as the maintenance of railway infrastructure. In this paper, vehicle and track vibration equations are separately established based on the vehicle track vertical coupling model. Taking the CRH vehicle running on the existing line as an example, the random vibration responses of the vehicle and track under different running speed are analyzed in time domain through numerical integral method and MATLAB program. According to the results, the velocity of train has more influence on the vibration property of rail and wheelsets than bogie and carbody.

In the construction of high-speed railway bridge, the stress of Bailey beam is much higher than that of other parts due to the large local compressive stress and bending moment at the fulcrum. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a structural measure of adding double I-steel cushion between Bailey beam and top beam to alleviate the larger stress at the fulcrum and make the support more uniform. Based on the Bailey beam support system of cast-in-situ high-speed railway bridge of Lianshui County super large bridge, the multi-scale finite element model of Bailey beam support is established by ABAQUS general finite element software, and the influence law of structural parameters of double-jointed I-steel cushion on support stress is analyzed. The research shows that the rigidly of the double-jointed I-beam cushion should not be too large or too small. When the length is appropriate, it can effectively alleviate the problem of excessive stress at the fulcrum of Bailey beam, and is a safe, economical and simple new structural measure.

With the gradual maturity of the automatic train operation (ATO) system in subways, its application scope has also expanded to the high-speed railway field. Considering that the ATO system is still in the early stages of operation, it will take time to fully mature, and definite specifications of the requirements for system operation have not yet been formed. This paper presents the operational design domain (ODD) of the high-speed railway ATO system and proposes a scenario analysis method based on the operational design domain to obtain the input conditions of the system requirements. The article models and verifies the scenario of the linkage control of the door and platform door based on the UPPAAL tools and extracts the input and expected output of the system requirements of the vehicle ATO system. Combined with the input conditions of the system requirements, the system requirements of the vehicle ATO in this scenario are finally obtained, which provides a reference for future functional specification generation and test case generation.

Automatic train operation (ATO) systems are fast becoming one of the key components of the intelligent high-speed railway (HSR). Designing an effective optimal speed trajectory for ATO is critical to guide the high-speed train (HST) to operate with high service quality in a more energy-efficient way. In many advanced HSR systems, the traction/braking systems would provide multiple notches to satisfy the traction/braking demands. This paper modelled the applied force as a controlled variable based on the selection of notch to realise a notch-based train speed trajectory optimisation model to be solved by mixed integer linear programming (MILP). A notch selection model with flexible vertical relaxation was proposed to allow the traction/braking efforts to change dynamically along with the selected notch by introducing a series of binary variables. Two case studies were proposed in this paper where Case study 1 was conducted to investigate the impact of the dynamic notch selection on train operations, and the optimal result indicates that the applied force can be flexibly adjusted corresponding to different notches following a similar operation sequence determined by optimal train control theory. Moreover, in addition to the maximum traction/braking notches and coasting, medium notches with appropriate vertical relaxation would be applied in accordance with the specific traction/braking demands to make the model feasible. In Case study 2, a comprehensive numerical example with the parameters of CRH380AL HST demonstrates the robustness of the model to deal with the varying speed limit and gradient in a real-world scenario. The notch-based model is able to obtain a more realistic optimal strategy containing dynamic notch selection and speed trajectory with an increase (1.622%) in energy consumption by comparing the results of the proposed model and the non-notch model.

The article has analyzed the changes of temperature of different materials of the spindle, and considered 170SD30 Ceramic Motorized Spindle and the same model Metal Motorized Spindle as the research objects, analyzed the inside heat source and heat transfer mechanism of the high-speed motorized spindle; used finite element software to set up the model of the motorized spindle, and did simulation and analysis. Verified by simulation, heat transfer rate of ceramic materials is slower than the metallic materials, in actual operation of the process, due to different materials have different heat transfer rate, so the temperature distribution of the different materials of motorized spindle are different. This conclusion provides the basis to solve motorized spindle temperature field distribution.
