Introduction: This research aims to explain the effect of family and community environment on the causal relationship between matrilineal parenting and adolescent behavior. Methods: This research employs a survey with a cross-sectional design. The population was mothers with adolescent children living in Padang City, Indonesia. The survey was distributed using Google Form, and the data were analyzed using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Results: The analysis revealed five findings as follows: (1) family environment has a significant positive influence on adolescent behavior; (2) family environment has a positive influence on matrilineal parenting; (3) community environment does not have an influence on adolescent behavior; (4) community environment does not have an influence on matrilineal parenting; and (5) matrilineal parenting has a positive influence on adolescent behavior. Conclusion: Matrilineal parenting and the family environment greatly influence the behavior of adolescents. There are three matrilineal parenting components that provide guidance and direction to adolescents, namely mothers, fathers, and Mamak (uncle). When the matrilineal parenting style and family environment are good, adolescents have a strong personality that is not easily influenced by other factors.

This study investigated the factors that influence Ghanaian entrepreneurs to adopt e-commerce. Cross-sectional data was gathered from 520 entrepreneurs in the most populous and industrious regions in Ghana. The unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) was employed to effectively understand the unexplored phenomenon of e-commerce adoption among Ghanaian entrepreneurs. Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to test the hypothesized relationships. The findings indicate that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, and social influence (SI) positively and significantly influenced the behavioral intention (BI) to adopt e-commerce. Facilitating conditions (FC) and BI had a significant positive relationship with the adoption of e-commerce.

Abstract Schumpeter's idea of creative destruction (CD) explains innovation functions in organisations. This paper investigates the CD concept in engineering firms by explaining how technical opportunity (TO) transforms into corporate entrepreneurship (CE) actions once opportunities have a market orientation (MO). A survey conducted using a structured questionnaire with 132 managers in engineering firms in Pakistan. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using Partial Least Square (PLS) approach has been used to analyse the data. Results reveal that MO and TO exerts a positive influence on CE. MO is the reason for the emergence of TO, which is exploited by CE's in engineering firms. CD intensifies the impact of MO on TO significantly. Opportunity recognition in engineering firms is distinguished and bounded by MO and technical viability. Engineering firms need to identify gaps in the market through naturally occurring obsolescence of products and services (CD) to create TO with appropriate MO. This study has revived a classical debate over opportunity recognition by proposing a CE model by incorporating external factors. The Schumpeterian opportunity recognition process and CD have been explained for engineering firms that are distinguished from other types of firms. Kirznerian opportunity recognition view has also been debated to dialect Schumpeterian view.

E-Health is one of the solutions to provide better access for patients and physician to healthcare facilities. In developing countries, e-Health is particularly important due to a shortage of physician and medical workers. Although most physicians in developing countries like Bangladesh acknowledge the benefits of e-Health, low adoption is not uncommon. The objective of this study is to identify the critical factors affecting e-Health adoption among physicians in Bangladesh. A cross-sectional survey questionnaire method was used for this study. The structural equation modeling (SEM) with the partial least square (PLS) approach was used to analyze the data. The study found that Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Social Influence and Personal Innovativeness had a significant impact on the behavioral intention to use e-Health, while Facilitating Conditions had no significant effect. The findings of this study will facilitate the degree of more acceptance of new technology by the physicians for their own betterment.

In this study there are 3 variables used, namely incentives, organizational culture, and organizational commitment. X1 = incentives, X2 = organizational culture, and Y = organizational commitment. Incentives in the form of rewards, awards or benefits provided to employees for their hard work given to the company, so that indirectly foster their loyalty to the company. While organizational culture is a belief in the values that are embraced, and trusted, which values are the guidelines for every employee of the organization in carrying out organizational activities. And for organizational commitment is where employees in this organization want to remain part of the organization's members and want to do anything to remain in the organization. the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of incentives and culture on organizational commitment. The data used in this study are primary data. and this research data is processed using PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling). The choice of using PLS-SEM is because the sample used in the study was relatively small, namely 26 people. Which is because the population used in this study is small. The population consists of employees of PT. Rizky Indah Makmur. From the results of this study, the fact is that there is a positive influence between the incentives and organizational culture on organizational commitment.Pada penelitian ini terdapat 3 variabel yang digunakan yaitu insentif, budaya organisasi, dan komitmen organisasi. X1= insentif, X2= budaya organsisi, dan Y= komitmen organisasi. Insentif adalah berupa imbalan, penghargaan atau tunjangan yang diberikan kepada karyawan atas kerja keras mereka yang mereka berikan kepada perusahaan, agar mereka secara tidak langsung menumbuhkan loyalitas mereka kepada karyawan. Sedangkan budaya organisasi adalah kepercayaan yang dianut akan nilai-nilai yang dipercayai, yang mana nilainilai tersebut sebagai pedoman setiap karyawan organisasi dalam menjalankan kegiatan organisasi. Dan untuk komitmen organisasi adalah situasi dimana karyawan pada organisasi tersebut ingin tetap menjadi bagian dari anggota organisasi tersebut dan ingin melakukan apa pun agar tetap berada di dalam organisasi tersebut. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh insentif dan budaya organisasi terhadap komitmen organisasi. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupakan data yang bersifat data primer. Yang mana data penelitian ini diolah menggunakan PLS-SEM (Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling). Pemilihan penggunaan PLS-SEM dikarenakan sample yang digunakan dalam penelitian relatif kecil, yaitu 26 orang. Yang mana hal tersebut disebabkan karena populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini kecil. Populasi tersebut terdiri dari karyawan-karyawan PT. Rizky Indah Makmur Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif antara indentif dan budaya organisasi terhadap komitmen organisasi.

A nurse performance greatly determines the quality of health services in a hospital. The purpose of this study was to prove the influence of transformational leadership on nurse performances, both directly and indirectly through organizational culture and work motivation. The research method used was a quantitative approach with cross-sectional design. The number of samples consisted of 86 nurses in a private hospital. Data collection used a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques used Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Research results shew that transformational leadership had a positive and significant effect on nurse performance both directly and indirectly through organizational culture and work motivation). The study results have shown that Transformational Leadership is effect on Organizational Culture. Transformational Leadership is effect on Work Motivation. Transformational Leadership, Organizational Culture, and Work Motivation are effect on Nurses Performance. Organizational culture mediated the effect of the transformational leadership on performance.

This study aims to see the effect of VACA, VAHU, STVA, and VAIC on financial performance and competitive advantage, as well as the role of competitive advantage in mediating the effect of VACA, VAHU, STVA, and VAIC on financial performance. The population in this study is Islamic commercial banks registered with the financial services authority in 2016-2018. The sample of this research was selected by sampling criteria. Hypothesis testing used in this research is Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) approach and the statistical test tool used is WarpPLS 7.0. The results of this study indicate that VACA has a positive influence on financial performance, VAHU has a negative influence on financial performance while STVA and VAIC do not affect financial performance. Furthermore, this study found that VACA, STVA, and VAIC had a positive effect on competitive advantage and competitive advantage also has a positive effect on financial performance. This research also found that, while VAHU did not affect the competitive advantage that competitive advantage plays a role in mediating the effect of VACA and VAIC on financial performance, whereas competitive advantage does not mediate the effect of VAHU and STVA on financial performance.

PurposeBased on Azjen’s (1991) theory of planned behavior, the purpose of this paper is to complement the existing body of knowledge on entrepreneurial intentions (EIs) by comparing two different university environments in Spain (online and face-to-face) and their impact on EIs of university students using two components of social capital (SC), trust and network ties as variables with influence on the antecedents of EIs.Design/methodology/approachA survey was administered to online and face-to-face students yielding a total sample of 302 and 204, respectively. Partial least square–structural equation modeling is the technique employed to perform the analysis.FindingsSC has a significant influence on EIs in both environments with greater effects online, as a consequence of the mediated role played by network ties between trust and the attitude toward the behavior, the subjective norm and consequently, EIs.Research limitations/implicationsThe authors used a cross-sectional method. However, it would be interesting to obtain longitudinal data to provide a more valid support for the study.Practical implicationsThis study provides insight into the important role played by network ties based on trust in the entrepreneurship process and in the university environment.Originality/valueThis study contributes to understanding the differential impact of SC (trust and network ties) on the antecedents of EIs between the students enrolled in different university environments using two non-parametric techniques Henseler’s multigroup analysis and the permutation test.

Digital technologies advancement has immersed in many aspects of our lives, be it an individual or a business. The fast moving technologies has fostered the growth of digital economy. Businesses which fail to adopt will eventually lose their competitive advantage. The pressing phenomena motivates the study of digitalization adoption among small and medium enterprises (SMEs), which account for the majority of the businesses worldwide. Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) framework was utilized to guide this study. The plausible difference between service based and non-service based industries was also examined. Quantitative approach via purposive sampling was performed to collect data from the SMEs. The data was analyzed using the concept of Hierarchical Component Model (HCM) for TOE constructs and Multi-Group Analysis (MGA) under the purview of Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). For more insightful findings, Importance Performance Matrix Analysis (IPMA) was conducted. The findings informed that Technology and Organization record significant positive influence on Digitalization Adoption among SMEs while there is heterogeneity between service based and non-service based industries.

This study aims to investigate the determinants that influence youth in preparing for entrepreneurship in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was applied, using a cross-sectional survey with 425 young entrepreneur respondents in East Java. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The findings showed that entrepreneurial intentions can be explained by the institutional environment and can provide motivation to start a business. This study confirmed the strong correlation between motivation to start a business and entrepreneurial intentions in preparing for entrepreneurship programs. Online ads which are basically faster, more effective, and more accurate tend to be more engaging than traditional ads. The influence of online ads does not happen instantly, other factors contribute to the changes in consumer behavior to become more impulsive. Consumer need for cognition is the factor that mediates the relationship. Consumers who have need for cognition tend to be more easily influenced by online ads, especially when it's done repeatedly. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the relationship between repeated online ads and consumer need for cognition for the changes in consumer behavior that was strengthened or weakened by the COVID-19 pandemic. Hypothesis testing was carried out by using Partial Least Square - Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis with SmartPLS software. The research results showed that repeated online ads and consumers' need for cognition had a positive influence on consumer buying behavior, but the COVID-19 pandemic had a negative effect.
