AbstractThe objective of the present study to assess the performance of a suggested sewer line by using pipe jacking system (PJS) in order to enhance the sewage capacity and mitigate sewer flooding of historic pilgrimage city of Karbala, Iraq. The storm water management model (SWMM5) was used for this purpose. The simulation of exiting sewer system reveals that sewer discharge during peak pilgrimage period is more than 200% of the capacity of existing sewer line. Installation of SLL having a diameter of 2.5 m at a depth ranging between 12 and 22 m by PJS can reduce water depth in sewer pipe by 78%. The reduction of water depth at sewer pipe can reduce sewer overflow up to 70%, if the system is installed and managed properly. The methodology proposed in the paper can be applied in any location having similar problem with necessary modifications.

Tujuan terlaksananya penelitian ini untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang hasil evaluasi dan kendala-kendala pelaksanaan blended learning di SMA Negeri 1 Ubud. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah kualitatif menggunakan metode evaluatif. Desain evaluasi dalam penelitian ini adalah model CSE-UCLA, yang terdiri dari lima komponen evaluasi, yaitu: system assessment, program planning, program implementation, program improvement, dan program certification. Subjek yang dilibatkan dalam pengambilan data melalui wawancara pada penelitian ini, terdiri dari: seorang kepala sekolah, seorang kepala laboratorium komputer, dan dua orang tim teknologi informasi. Subjek yang dilibatkan dalam pengambilan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner, terdiri dari lima orang guru dan 10 orang siswa. Teknik penentuan semua subyek tersebut menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat efektivitas pelaksanaan program blended learning di SMA Negeri 1 Ubud dalam kategori baik. Hasil tersebut diperjelas dari perhitungan yang didasarkan pada kuadran Glickman, dimana hasil evaluasi termasuk dalam kuadran ‘Baik’, karena T-Score pada masing-masing komponen evaluasi menunjukkan pola ‘Tinggi-Tinggi-Tinggi-Rendah-Tinggi’.

Assessments of sewer performance are usually based on a single computation of CSO (combined sewer overflow) volumes using a time series of rainfall as system loads. A shortcoming of this method is that uncertainties in knowledge of sewer system dimensions are not taken into account. Moreover, sewer models are rarely calibrated. This paper presents the impacts of database errors and model calibration on return periods of calculated CSO volumes. The impact of uncertainties is illustrated with two examples. Variability of calculated CSO volumes is estimated using Monte Carlo simulations. The results show that calculated CSO volumes vary considerably due to database errors, especially uncertain dimensions of the catchment area. Furthermore, event-based calibration of a sewer model does not result in more reliable predictions because the calibrated parameters have low portability. However, it enables removal of database errors harmonising model predictions and ‘reality’.

Since Japanese sewer system is becoming obsolete, it is necessary to reinforce and repair the system without stopping sewer functions. In this study, a multi-layered sewer pipe plug consisting of a protective sheet and inner and outer rubber balls is focused to be installed and removed conveniently at the construction site. In this paper, a suitable testing method and the strength of the protective sheet are discussed experimentally by changing the specimen geometry providing slit and seams. It is found that the slit specimen is most desirable to obtain the standard tensile strength of UHMWPE cloth named Izanas cloth. It is found that the seamed strength is [Formula: see text] MPa, which is about 17% of the standard tensile strength [Formula: see text] MPa.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh tingkat efektivitas pelaksanaan blended learning di SMK TI Udayana ditinjau dari beberapa komponen evaluasi yaitu system assessment, program planning, program implementation, program improvement, dan program certification. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah studi evaluatif, dengan menggunakan model evaluasi CSE-UCLA (Center for the Study of Evaluation- University of California in Los Angeles). Subjek penelitian terdiri dari: kepala sekolah, guru, siswa, dan tim pengelola blended learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata tingkat efektivitas pada komponen system assessment sebesar 86,7% sehingga termasuk kategori tinggi, rata-rata tingkat efektivitas pada komponen program planning sebesar 85,6% sehingga termasuk kategori tinggi, rata-rata tingkat efektivitas pada komponen program implementation sebesar 87,5% sehingga termasuk kategori tinggi, rata-rata tingkat efektivitas pada komponen program improvement sebesar 88,5% sehingga termasuk kategori tinggi, dan rata-rata tingkat efektivitas pada komponen program certification sebesar 88,9% sehingga termasuk kategori tinggi.Kata kunci: evaluasi, blended learning, CSE-UCLA EVALUATION OF BLENDED LEARNING AT SMK TI UDAYANA USING CSE-UCLA MODELAbstractThis study aimed to obtain the level of effectiveness of blended learning implementation at SMK TI Udayana in terms of some of the evaluation components such as: system assessment, program planning, program implementation, program improvement, and program certification. The research subjects consisted of: headmaster, teachers, students and the management team of blended learning. The results showed that the average level of effectiveness on the system assessment component amounted to 86.7% that includes high category, the average level of effectiveness on the program planning component amounted to 85.6% that includes high category, the average level of effectiveness on the program implementation component amounted to 87.5% that includes high category, the average level of effectiveness on the program improvement component amounted to 88.5% that includes high category, the average level of effectiveness on the program certification component amounted to 88.9% that includes high category.Keywords: evaluation, blended learning, CSE-UCLA
