This research was conducted to test the effectiveness of the application of the learning model of POE (Predict, Observe, Explain) by integrating technology in constructing technological literacy of elementary school science teacher candidates. The study was conducted by comparing learning using the POE model by integrating technology in the experimental class with without integrating technology in the control class. The research method used was a quasi-experimental research design with The Randomized Pretest - Posttest Control Group Design. The sample of this research is the students of elementary science teacher candidates selected by cluster random sampling. The research instrument used in the form of a test device to measure technological literacy with a reliability index of 0.94. The results showed that significantly learning using the POE model by integrating technology was more effective in increasing technological literacy compared to learning without integrating technology.

This study was aimed at determining the differences in the dimensions of cognitive processes between groups of students who are taught with project-based trying learning activities and groups of students who are taught with conventional learning activities. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a post-test only control group design. The population of this study was the fifth-grade students of the 2016/2017 academic year in the Curriculum 2013 Elementary School in Buleleng Regency, which amounted to 326 students. The samples were taken by cluster random sampling which amounted to 60 students. The data collected in this study were the results of the dimensions of cognitive processes by using 20 multiple-choice tests and 5 item essays on the ecosystem theme. The hypothesis was tested using inferential t-test statistics. The results show that there are significant differences in the dimensions of cognitive processes between groups of students who were taught with project-based trying activities and groups of students who were taught using conventional learning activities. The optimizing project-based trying activities has a positive effect on the dimensions of students' cognitive processes.PENGOPTIMALAN AKTIVITAS MENCOBA DENGAN BERBASIS PROYEK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN DIMENSI PROSES KOGNITIF SISWAPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan dimensi proses kognitif antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan aktivitas pembelajaran mencoba berbasis proyek dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan aktivitas pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian post test only control group design. Populasi dari penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V Tahun Pelajaran 2016/2017 di SD rintisan Kurikulum 2013 Kabupaten Buleleng yang berjumlah 326 orang. Sampel diambil dengan cara cluster?random sampling yang berjumlah 60 orang. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil dimensi proses kognitif dengan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda sebanyak 20 butir dan esai 5 butir soal pada tema ekosistem. Hipotesis diuji dengan menggunakan statistik inferensial t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan pada dimensi proses kognitif antara kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan aktivitas pembelajaran mencoba berbasis proyek dan kelompok siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan aktivitas pembelajaran konvensional Pengoptimalan aktivitas mencoba berbasis proyek berpengaruh positif terhadap dimensi proses kognitif siswa.

To help realize UNP's vision towards a research-based university, awareness of Educators is needed to be active in providing innovation in classroom learning such as transforming conventional learning into research-based learning. This aim of this study was to analyze the implementation of research-based learning in Integrated Science courses Class VII in an effort to improve the ability to think critically and creatively. The study used the Quasi Experimental Research method with the design of the Pretest-posttest Control Group Design. The study was conducted in two sample classes obtained from cluster random sampling techniques by providing research-based learning treatment to the experimental class and ordinary learning to the control class. The research data was pre-test and post-test instrument, student response questionnaire and observation sheet during the learning process. With the implementation of research-based learning, the ability to think critically and creatively students of Physics Education FMIPA UNP was expected to be able to increase.

The purposes of this study are to find out the effect of REAP strategy on reading comprehension of the fifth grade elementary students of third cluster of Kotagede Yogyakarta. The research method in this study was quasi-experimental with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population was all of fifth grade elementary students of third cluster of Kotagede Yogyakarta. The sample was fifth grade students of SD Baluwarti, SD Kotagede 1, and SD Kotagede 5 Yogyakarta that were establised by cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected using tests. The validity of the instrument was measured in terms of content and construct validity. The reliability of the instrument was stated good with the score of Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,734. The data of this study were analized by independent sample t-test and Manova with Hotteling’s Trace formula. The result showed that REAP strategy gave a positive and significant effect on reading comprehension that is proved by the score of t-test = 4,914 and 3,286 with sig = 0,000 and 0,002. Based on the result, it can be concluded that REAP strategy gives positive and significant effect on reading comprehension of the fifth grade elementary students of third cluster of Kotagede Yogyakarta.

Peneliti melakukan penelitian ini dengan tujuan untuk melihat apakah terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran online inquiry dan PBL serta kemampun awal siswa terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritisnya, dan untuk melihat interaksi antara penerapan pembelajaran online inquiry dan PBL serta kemampuan awal siswa terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritisnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain quasi experimental nonequivalent control group design, dilakukan di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 7 Kota Jambi dengan menggunakan 3 kelas, yakni 2 kelas eksperimen dan 1 kelas kontrol yang dipilih dengan metode cluster random sampling, yakni dari 32 siswa pada masing-masing kelas, dipilih 27% siswa berkemampuan awal tinggi ( siswa), 27% siswa berkemampuan awal rendah ( siswa), dan sisanya berkemampuan awal sedang ( siswa). Hasil penelitian diuji dengan ANOVA dua arah, menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran online inquiry dan PBL serta kemampun awal siswa terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritisnya (Nilai signifikansi < 0.05), namun tidak terdapat interaksi antara penerapan pembelajaran online inquiry dan PBL serta kemampuan awal siswa terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa (Nilai signifikansi > 0.05).  Hal ini dikarenakan faktor lain seperti beberapa siswa yang tidak menghidupkan mode video pada Zoom, sehingga guru tidak bisa memantau apa yang siswa tersebut lakukan selama pembelajaran.

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh siswa yang sering membawa handphone ke sekolah digunakan untuk media untuk mencontek, bermain game pada saat pelajaran, dan bermain media sosial pada saat jam pelajaran sehinggi mengakibatkan terhambatnya proses belajar mengajar yang sedang berlangsung. Permasalahan yang dikaji dalam penelitian adalah apakah bimbingan klasikal dengan metode jigsaw terhadap kontrol diri siswa dalam pengunaan handphone di sekolah?. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif desain quasi experimental bentuk nonequivalent control group design dengan model pre-test post-test control group design.. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 7 Pemalang. Sampling yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah cluster random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yakni analisis presentase dengan Uji t (t-test). Hasil analisis skala kontrol diri dalam penggunaan handphone pada kelompok eksperimen dengan menggunakan uji-t hasil post-test menunjukan rata-rata kelompok eksperimen sebesar 83,67 dan kelompok kontrol 77,2. Sehingga terjadi peningkatan rata-rata pada kelompok eksperimen sebesar 10,5. Pada penghitungan uji-t diperoleh hasil thitung (3,11) > ttabel (2,000), maka hipotesis kerja (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nihil (Ho) ditolak. Disimpulkan bahwa bimbingan klasikal dengan metode jigsaw berpengaruh terhadap kontrol diri siswa dalam penggunaan handphone kelas IX SMP Negeri 7 Pemalang.

[Title: The Effect of STAD and Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model on the Physics Concepts Mastery]. This research aims to determine the influence of cooperative learning model of STAD and Jigsaw type through physics concept mastery of XI grade students in SMAN 1 Kediri. This type of research is the quasi experimental with posttest only control group design. The population of this research is all students of XI grade in SMAN 1 Kediri of 2018/2019 year of lesson with cluster random sampling taking technique. There are two samples that is the class that given treatment by cooperative learning model STAD’s type (class experiment 1) and class that given treatment by Jigsaw’s type (class experiment 2). The result revealed that the mean score of the post-test for concept mastery for two class in row are 73.69 and 61.07. The two class was homogeny and normal disrtribution. The research hypothesis was tested using t-test polled variances. The result showed that the value of ttab was higher than tarith, (2.841>2.021) at 5% as significancy, that mean H0 rejected and Ha received. Based on result of data analysis and discussion, the conclusion are there was an effect between cooperative learning model STAD and Jigsaw type through physics concept mastery of XI grade students in SMAN 1 Kediri.

College students are often considered as adult humans so that when learning science, the use of interesting media is not noticed. Quality science learning can form college students who have scientific literacy and high democratic attitudes which are very important in the 21st century. The solutions that can be used to solve these problems is the macromedia flash learning media. This study aims to determine: 1) the effect of macromedia flash on scientific literacy; 2) the influence of macromedia flash on democratic attitudes; 3) the effect of macromedia flash on scientific literacy and democratic attitudes of college students simultaneously. This study used a quasi experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The study population was all PGSD Semester IV students of Ahmad Dahlan University. Sampling with cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected by tests and questionnaires. Analysis of research data using t and manova test. Based on the results of the study obtained both t and manova tests, the significance value is smaller than 0.05, so it can be concluded that: 1) there is an effect of macromedia flash on scientific literacy; 2) there is an effect of macromedia flash on democratic attitudes; 3) there is an effect of macromedia flash on scientific literacy and democratic attitudes of college students simultaneously.

This research purposed to prove whether Self Collection Strategy and Students’ Motivation gives significant effect on the students’ Vocabulary Mastery on English Subject. This research was quasi-experimental research by using the post test-only control group design. The population was the students at Economic Accountant Department Bung Hatta University in the academic year of 2016/2017. The writer used cluster random sampling to select the samples. To collect the data, the researcher used vocabulary test. The data analyzed by using t-test and SPSS 16.0. The findings of this research showed that the mean score of students who were taught by using Self Collection Strategy was 84. The mean score of students who were taught by using memory strategy was 76. It means that Self Collection Strategy gave significant effect toward their vocabulary mastery on English Subject. The elements of Self Collection Strategy such as heterogeneous group, individual accountability, and group reward are considered as the effort for the findings.

This research was about the implementation of the ICARE (Introduction-Connect-Apply-Reflect-Extend) learning model to the science process skills compared to the DI (Direct Instruction) learning model. This research was a quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The population was all students of class X MIPA SMAN 4 Banjarmasin with sample consist of 2 classes selected by cluster random sampling, X MIPA 2 as an experimental class and X MIPA 4 as a control class. Data collection techniques were used test (instruments test description question) and observation technique like using the science process skills instrument. Data analysis using t-test obtained tcount larger than ttable at the 0.05 level of significance, ie 5.9 > 2.0, it means that there were a differenct in science process skills aspect between students who had learned with the ICARE learning model and the DI learning model. Students’ science process skills enhancement in the experimental class have a gain value of 0.61 in the medium category and in the control class have a gain value of 0.40 in the medium categoryKeywords: ICARE, science process skill, electrolyte and non electrolyte solution

As a result of increasing the level of interest in living and living systems (biophilia), it will be possible to educate more protectionist individuals against nature and the environment. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of nature education activities on biophilia levels of science teacher candidates. This research was conducted at public research university in Bayburt, Turkey, in the Department of Science Education during the spring semester of the 2017-2018 academic year. The activities were done in an integrated manner to the Environmental Science course. The study group included a total of 62 science teacher candidates. These students were distributed equally to the experiment and control group. The study was used a quasi-experimental method with a group of experiments and control. In the study, the Biophilia Scale was applied as a data collection tool. Independent samples t-tests and dependent samples t-tests were used for analyzing the data. As a result of the analysis, the findings indicated that nature education and in-class activities positively affected teacher candidates' biophilia levels. The findings also indicated that the knowledge and experience they gained due to students' scrutiny, touching, smelling, and even tasting the species at in-class and nature activities affected their biophilia levels.
