College students are often considered as adult humans so that when learning science, the use of interesting media is not noticed. Quality science learning can form college students who have scientific literacy and high democratic attitudes which are very important in the 21st century. The solutions that can be used to solve these problems is the macromedia flash learning media. This study aims to determine: 1) the effect of macromedia flash on scientific literacy; 2) the influence of macromedia flash on democratic attitudes; 3) the effect of macromedia flash on scientific literacy and democratic attitudes of college students simultaneously. This study used a quasi experimental method with a nonequivalent control group design. The study population was all PGSD Semester IV students of Ahmad Dahlan University. Sampling with cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected by tests and questionnaires. Analysis of research data using t and manova test. Based on the results of the study obtained both t and manova tests, the significance value is smaller than 0.05, so it can be concluded that: 1) there is an effect of macromedia flash on scientific literacy; 2) there is an effect of macromedia flash on democratic attitudes; 3) there is an effect of macromedia flash on scientific literacy and democratic attitudes of college students simultaneously.

The purposes of this study are to find out the effect of REAP strategy on reading comprehension of the fifth grade elementary students of third cluster of Kotagede Yogyakarta. The research method in this study was quasi-experimental with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population was all of fifth grade elementary students of third cluster of Kotagede Yogyakarta. The sample was fifth grade students of SD Baluwarti, SD Kotagede 1, and SD Kotagede 5 Yogyakarta that were establised by cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected using tests. The validity of the instrument was measured in terms of content and construct validity. The reliability of the instrument was stated good with the score of Cronbach’s Alpha = 0,734. The data of this study were analized by independent sample t-test and Manova with Hotteling’s Trace formula. The result showed that REAP strategy gave a positive and significant effect on reading comprehension that is proved by the score of t-test = 4,914 and 3,286 with sig = 0,000 and 0,002. Based on the result, it can be concluded that REAP strategy gives positive and significant effect on reading comprehension of the fifth grade elementary students of third cluster of Kotagede Yogyakarta.

This research was aimed to find out the effectiveness of using Think Pair Share (TPS) strategy in teaching reading at the second semester students of IKIP Mataram. Research design was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The sample of the research was 79 students and it was taken by using cluster random sampling technique and the data gathering used multiple choice items that consist of 20 items. The data analysis used t-test formulation. Based on the data analysis, t-test score was 1.804 and t-table 1.664 with signification level 5% and degree of freedom N – 2 = 79 – 2 = 77. It means that t-test was higher than t-table (1.804 > 1.664). Therefore alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. So, there was significant effect of using Think Pair Share (TPS) strategy in teaching reading at the second semester students of IKIP Mataram.

The success of students in dealing with the globalization era of scientific literacy needs to be supported by practising skills, one of the skills that must be mastered by students in the science process skills and scientific questioning skills. This study aims to determine the implementation of the question webs based learning model of learning to improve science process skills and scientific questioning skills in grade X students at SMAN 1 Darul Imarah using a quasi-experimental method with nonequivalent control group design. The samples were taken by purposive sampling technique which was then divided into experimental and control groups. The data were collected from pretest and posttest scores which were then tested based on N-gain values. The results showed that the score of science process skills and scientific questioning skills of experimental class students obtained higher mean scores than control class mean scores. Statistically, it can be seen that testing the results of tests using the t-test 4.507 for science process skills and 29.79 for scientific questioning skills with a significant difference. The conclusion of this study shows that the question web-based learning model improve science process skills and scientific questioning skills compared to conventional models.

This study aims to determine how the influence of the 3C3R learning model (Content, Context, Connection, Reading, Reasoning, Reflecting) on students' literacy skills after learning in the concept of interaction between living things and the environment. The sample of this study was grade VII students in SMP Negeri 13 Kota Sukabumi which were taken using a pusposive sampling technique with 24 students in the experimental class and 25 students in the control class. The instrument of this research is a matter of testing scientific literacy skills. This type of research is Quasi Experimental with a non equivalent control group design research design. The data analysis technique uses the t test with a significance level of α 0.05. The results of the t test show (tcount 6.845> ttable 2.051) so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there are significant differences in students' scientific literacy skills between the experimental class and the control group. So it can be concluded that the 3C3R learning model influences students' scientific literacy abilities.

The study population was students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Samudra University who were taking basic chemistry courses. The results showed an increase in science literacy skills based on the N-gain value in the experimental class of 0.54 in the medium category and 0.33 in the control class who were also in the medium category. Analysis with t test based on the posttest value obtained sig. (2-tailed) 0.030 or <0.05, which indicates a significant difference in the posttest scores of the two classes. This study aims to identify how the influence of cooperative Group Investigation (GI) with scaffolding models for students physics concept ability. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The sample in this study was carried out by cluster random sampling technique with a pretest posttest control group design. The instrument used in this study is concept ability test in a multiple choice form consisting of 15 questions. the first sample was the experimental class (X-1) treated by the GI learning model with scaffolding and the second class was the control class (X-2) given cooperative learning treatment type Group Investigation (GI) with the number of each class of 20 students. Data analysis technique uses descriptive quantitative with SPSS 22.0 For Windows. The value of pre-test and posttest for experimental class was 68.75 and 91.75 while pre-test and posttest scores for control class were 72.25 and 83.75 respectively. From the results of pretest-posttest data analysis using T-test (hypothesis) it was found that there was a significant effect of the use of cooperative learning by GI with sacffolding models on students' physics concepts ability. These results can be shown that the Experimental class has an achievement of physics concept ability value which is significantly higher than the control class.

Natural science material is abstract such as the solar system causing students to have difficulty understanding the material so visualization is needed to study it. Interactive learning media is needed so that abstract material becomes simpler and easier to understand, learning is interesting, and meaningful. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Lectora Inspire-based interactive science media on students' analytical skills. The type of research used is a quasi-experimental with pretest posttest nonequivalent control group design. The population used consisted of 6 classes with cluster random sampling sampling technique taken 2 classes, namely VII B as the experimental class and class VII E as the control class, each of which amounted to 30 students. The results of the analysis using the Independent Sample T-Test show that there is an influence of interactive science media based on Lectora inspire to improve students' analytical skills. Therefore, the use of interactive science media based on Lectora inspire can be used in learning to improve students' analytical skills.

This study was aimed to know the effect of problem-based learning model on the ability of students scientific literacy in reaction rate material. Scientific literacy that is examined in this study only on competency dimension of science. This research was conducted at SMAN 8 South TangerangCity. The method used was quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The sample was taken byusing purposive sampling technique. The data was taken by using an essay test of scientific literacy ability in competency dimension of science. The analysis of data used is t-test that obtained tcountvalue totaled 8.27 and ttable on significant level0.05is 1.99, so that thetcount>ttable. So we can concludethat Ho was refuse. This indicatesthatthe application of problem-based learning model provides a significant impact on the ability of students scientific literacy in reaction rate material. This research  aims to determine the effect of the use crossword puzzle media on the ability of vocabulary mastery of second grade students SDN 68 City of Bengkulu. This research is a quantitative research. The research method used is Quasi Experimental Design with The Matching Only Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The population in this study is all students of class II SDN  in Bengkulu City that accredited A and use curriculum KTS. Sampling technique with Cluster Random Sampling. The sample obtained is SDN 68 Kota Bengkulu with the number of samples consisting of class V A and V B . Data of this research are analyzed by using inferential analysis that is uji t. From the result of the research, the result of  t with thitung  is 2,43 and t tabel value with significant level 5% equal to 2,04. So with thitung (2,43)> ttabel (2,04). The calculated value obtained is greater than the value of ttabel  so that H0 rejected and Ha accepted. The value of thitung obtained is greater than the ttabel value then it can be concluded that there is influence of media use of audio visual to the ability to listen the story on the student of class V in SDN 68 city of Bengkulu.

The Research problems at SMAN 2 Lubuk Sikaping are students having difficulty in formulating problems, analyzing and finding solutions to difficulties in the learning process, leadership and motivation, level of activity and student learning in the learning process is still low and learning models that are rarely used and are still centered on the teachers. Efforts that can be done are implementing the learning model course review containing science literacy at SMAN 2 Lubuk Sikaping. The purpose of this study was to study the improvement of knowledge competencies, attitudes and skills of students through a horay review course model with scientific literacy at SMAN 2 Lubuk Sikaping. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a posttest randomized design control group design. The study population was all class X SMAN 2 Lubuk Sikaping registered in the 2018/2019 school year controlling three classes. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The research hypothesis evaluates using the t-test. Conclusions of the study about the application of the learning model course review horay with science literasy the learning competenci of knowledge, attitudes, skills of class X students of SMAN 2 Lubuk Sikaping
