Purpose of research.  Improving surfaces' forming by a blade tool is an up-to-date task. Labour intensity of turning processing is a dominant part of all working. Vibrations during turning work are the result of premature tool wear and increased surface roughness of the parts. New cutter designs are of practical and scientific interest. They can reduce vibrations occurring during cutting, increase their persistence and improve processing quality. The aim and objectives of this proposed structural line of damping cutters with adjustable (controlled) rigidity are improvement of cutting tool structures, which allow to increase its resistance due to vibration damping; creation of efficient technological processes of cutting materials, which improve quality of treatment; improved operational characteristics of cutters.Methods. Existing structures of vibration damping cutters with elastic damping pieces of constant rigidity, in which holder or mandrel with cutting plate is installed, do not have necessary requirements for efficiency of vibration reduction due to impossibility of tool stiffness variation. Besides, there is high labour intensity of cutters preparation for operation and dismantling. Innovative cutter designs with adjustable (controlled) rigidity are presented.Results. The developed line of vibration-quenching cutters with rigidity variation and taking into account disadvantages of existing structures makes it possible to control vibration frequencies of perturbating force and components of a tool system which excludes uncontrolled growth of vibration amplitude and significantly prolongs efficiency of cutters with high quality of processing. It depends on processed material and cutting process modes. Existing and new designs of damping cutters make it possible to classify them. So it is possible to carry out research on their improvement.Conclusion. Proposed damping cutters with varying rigidity meet goals and objectives. According to theoretical research and industrial tests, simplicity of structures and technologies of new damping cutters manufacturing it is possible to implement them into production.

The research objective is improving the mixing quality of the material and determination of structurally-kinematic parameters drum paddle mixer by means of numerical methods. The basis of modern society is the use of variety mixtures and composite materials on their basis. The preparation of the initial mixtures is carried out as directly by mixers, and in some cases by various devices, including extruders and screw presses. Among such devices drum mixers, dryers, mixers, etc are widely distributed. Their feature is the low intensity of mixing, as well as the ability for a relatively short period of time possible to achieve the uniformity of the mixture. Then the quality of the mixture practically does not change. Attempted use of commercially available cement- mixers of periodic action in order to prepare such a mixture as a feed, showed that their existing structures are subject to further improvement because of the impossibility of achieving zootechnical requirements for the preparation of feed on the basis of the purchase and BPD of their own forage. This requires additional theoretical research. The process of the blade drum interaction with the material operating with periodic mixing is shown. The obtained analytical expressions allow to determine the conditions of mixing of the material by major constructive and kinematic parameters of the lobed mixer drum on the basis of numerical methods.

Abstract It is estimated that 5.4 million Americans have some form of dementia and these numbers are expected to rise in the coming decades, leading to an unprecedented demand for memory care housing and services. In searching for innovative options to create more autonomy and better quality of life in dementia care settings, repurposing existing structures, in particular vacant urban malls, may be one option for the large sites needed for the European model of dementia villages. These settings may become sustainable Dementia Friendly City Centers (DFCC), because in the case of enclosed mall construction, the internal infrastructure is in place for lighting, HVAC, with varied spatial configuration of public spaces. This presentation describes the community engagement research being conducted by a research team at a Midwestern university, laying groundwork for the DFCC model for centralized dementia programs, services and attached housing. Focus group outcomes from four disciplines (caregiver, physician, designer, community development) detailed four principle themes including : community revitalization, building sustainability, urban regreening and the nurturing of innovation to further a culture of dementia care which is inclusive, progressive and convergent with the needs of an aging. The DFCC model can be seen as one opportunity to make life better not only for those with needs associated with dementia now, but also for ourselves in the future, therefore educating and updating future stakeholders about the value of this model of care will be critical in transforming current hurdles into future opportunities.

AbstractThe medical practice of declawing has received much political debate over the past few years. Yet, empirical and theoretical research on how this practice is maintained and the ethical positions of those who actually participate in this work is lacking. Drawing from 9 months of ethnographic fieldwork in a feline-specific veterinary hospital and open-ended interviews with veterinarians and staff, this study examines veterinary staff members' attitudes toward, and strategies for, dealing with the medical practice of declawing. Specifically, findings show that a number of staff felt uncomfortable with their participation in onychectomy (declawing) and relied heavily on organizational support structures to cope both with these feelings and the moral ambiguity about the practice. Relying on these structures, the veterinarians and their staff are able simultaneously to define felines as subjects worthy of respect for their quality of life, protect their own self-identity as people who work toward the best interest of animals, and paradoxically support action toward felines that they find morally objectionable.

Compared to traditional EDM processing, UEDM (Ultrasonic Vibration Assisted EDM) have a great improvement in optimizing discharge environment. In this study, ultrasonic vibration is attached to the electrode. According to the relative positional relationship between the movement path of the electrode tip and the discharge gap, four working states of UEDM are defined. The four working states are the path within the discharge gap, the path in contact with the edge of the discharge gap, part of the electrode end path outside the discharge gap, and the path in contact with the workpiece, respectively. States are analyzed from the effective discharge energy and discharge frequency. A mathematical model for effective discharge energy and surface roughness is established for two conventional working states. The correctness of the theoretical research is verified by experiments. As the experiment results shown, the influence of ultrasonic amplitude on the energy of UEDM is primary, while frequency is secondary. A working state with better discharge stability and higher discharge energy when the electrode end path is in contact with the edge of the discharge gap. In the first three conventional machining states, the surface quality of the workpiece increases with the increase of ultrasonic amplitude and frequency. The study can provide scientific guidance for parameter matching of UEDM.

This paper presents a theoretical research on electronic resources provided for mathematics education in primary school including online education, which has become ubiquitous as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Various aspects and forms of application of e-resources in mathematics education are explored in the literature, but the issue of their quality is less studied. E-resources potential to dynamically illustrate the mathematical learning content is defined as their main advantage, but this potential could be realized only in compliance with the principles of multimedia, as well as the requirements for accessibility, ergonomics and visual design. Therefore, in this study the parameters for the quality of e-resources for mathematics education in primary school are derived and specific criteria and requirements for their quality are proposed. Thus, in addition to providing a basis for future research, this paper could serve to primary teachers as a guide for measuring the quality of e-resources that they select or create for online mathematics education.

This article describes the advantages and infrastructural features of the resort of Truskavets - the most developed spa resort in Ukraine. It is emphasized that this resort has a developed network of different types of accommodation: hotels, sanatoriums, boarding houses, villas, which have more than 26,550 beds. A wide range of medical and health services is provided. The marketing strategy of development of the city which includes formation of a tourist brand is developed. Based on the data of the SWOT-analysis, the operational goals and objectives for achieving the strategic goals of the resort development were determined. Comparing the goals and real changes, the achievements and problems of the resort were identified to achieve the strategic goal: "Truskavets is the capital of health. The leader among the balneological resorts of the world with the unique healing water Naftusya. Western Ukrainian Center for Medical and Cultural Tourism, Sports, Beauty and Longevity, with a developed infrastructure, high social and economic standards. " Many tasks have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has caused significant economic damage to the city. In addition, the development of the resort is hampered by negative factors related to the solution of issues at the legislative and administrative levels. The modern logo of Truskavets indicates that the uniqueness of the brand is based on water resources, but it does not fully represent the tourist and recreational potential of the city. In the minds of potential consumers, the city is perceived only as a place where you can improve your health. Mostly middle-aged and older people are interested in it, the city does not attract young people. In Truskavets, the range of services of the sanatorium-resort complex is expanding and the quality of service is improving. But, despite the developed system of accommodation facilities, the development of territorial tourist products is slow. The potential of the subregion and the surrounding centers of culture and tourism is not fully used. The material and technical base of Truskavets, in addition to medical and health tourism, allows to develop business, excursion, cultural and educational, entertainment, sports and other types of tourism.
