This article presents the results of a technology of placing a plastic film in the space between cotton rows. We have studied physical and mechanical properties of soil before placing the film. We have proved that the plastic film in the spaces between the cotton rows retains moisture in the soil much longer and it is possible to obtain up to 22 kg/ha of raw cotton in the condition of water scarcity in the Karakalpakstan.

In this study, it is aimed to make improvements on blended brick (1) which is the first building material has a history of at least 10,000 years. To the blended brick which is a traditional material was kept constant at 5% the addition of fly ash which is industrial waste. It was aim of determine of the effect on the physical and mechanical properties of the blended brick using different ratios (5%, 10%, 15% and 20%) blast furnace slag. In the first stage, the production of fly ash-based blast furnace slag doped sample of blended brick was performed. In the second stage, a variety of experiments were applied to determine the physical and mechanical properties of the blended brick sample. As a result; It has been determined that unit volume weight and compressive strength decreases with the use of industrial wastes in blended brick production. They have occured an increase in porosity and capillary water absorption values. The use of industrial wastes in the production of blended bricks will contribute both improve the properties of the bricks and   the reduction of wastes left to the environment.

The goal of the measurement of the tractor ZTS 164 45 equipped with digital electrohydraulical control EHR-D BOSCH during ploughing with ploughs KUHN (4 bottoms) and 5 PHX 35 (5 bottoms) was to obtain time dependent states of pressure in the hydraulic system of the three point hitch of tractor. From the point of view of comparison of obtained results testing conditions were determinated with respect to physical and mechanical properties of soil such as soil volume mass, soil humidity, penetration resistance and shear resistance of soil. Beyond these measurements also measurements of operation parameters as a&nbsp;ploughing depth, ploughing width, working speed and fuel consumption were accomplished. The measured results of physical and mechanical properties of soil show big content of loam elements and stones in the soil. Simultaneously the measured results of the operation parameters of the ploughing sets confirmed that the ploughs KUHN and 5 PHX 35 are suitable for tractor ZTS 164 45. Based on the measured results there is a possibility to infer following conclusions: Control system of the three point hitch offers a reliable function. Hydraulic circuit is equipped by an improper distributor which causes pressure peaks which are corres-<br />ponding with safety valve adjustment. Hydraulic circuit has a&nbsp;low conductive resistance. Loading of tractor body is higher when using mounted plough than with semi mounted plough.

Bintan Island is a part of Riau Islands Province. On this island, the capital city is Tanjungpinang. The compliance of public facilities such as landfill waste is a priority in this city. Landfill design that suitable in this area is a sanitary landfill system. The soil layer uses to cover the waste in this landfill system. The closure did gradually avoid the disruption of waste processing. The type of soil for its landfill cover has to be able to control the leachate. It controlled by the permeability of the soil. The methods used in this study are the analysis of the physical and mechanical properties of soil. Rock and soil samples are obtained systematically through trenching. Sampling-based on changes in physical properties of soil that reflect its mechanical properties. A probabilistic approach used to solve the problems and to get accurate results. The geomorphology of the study area divided into four units. They are very flat terrain, flat terrain, slightly steep hills, and steep hills. The sample used for the study is undisturbed soil. Analysis of the physical and mechanical properties of soil shows the types of soil, such as SW, GM, MH-OH, and CH. However, MH is the most dominant type of soil. Each of the soil types represents a certain degree of weathering. The degree of weathering in the study area varies from the III degree to VI degrees. Rocks are weathering form clay mineral, which compiles the soil. Clay mineral in the soil layer is varied from quartz, illite, kaolinite, gibbsite, goethite, and hematite—the impact of the swelling of clay. The swelling of clay in the study area ranged from low to high. The properties and composition of the soil are affected by the permeability value.

Abstract Field testing is often a very reliable way to determine the mechanical properties of soil materials and in some cases the most appropriate and unique way to obtain accurate measurements. Geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists perform geotechnical investigations to obtain information on the physical and mechanical properties of soil and rock underlying (and sometimes adjacent to) a site to design earthworks and foundations for proposed structures. The object of the present work is the recording of the geotechnical data of the center and districts of the city of Larissa, the knowledge of which is necessary for the construction and erection of construction works, as well as the characteristics and points that need special attention in each area. Finally important conclusions refer to the construction culture, that project authorities and contractors should draw on, accordingly.

This contribution is oriented on the field of dynamic loading analysis of three-point hitch of tractor hydraulic pump. The hydraulic pump is placed in circuit of three-point hitch of the tractor ZTS 160 45. Obtained data from operation experiments will be applied for simulation of dynamic loading of the tested hydraulic pump. The measurements were realized during position control with ploughing sets: tractor ZTS 160 45 + plough 5-PN-30 and tractor ZTS 160 45 + plough 7-PHX-35. During the test physical and mechanical properties of soil and operating parameters of ploughing sets were investigated. Pressures of hydraulic system were in range from 3.2 to 7 MPa at aggregation with plough 5-PN-30 and hydraulic pump was loaded. Pressures of hydraulic system during ploughing with ploughing set tractor ZTS 160 45 + plough 7-PHX-35 were in range from 1.8 to 14 MPa and two times hydraulic pump was unloading in time 2 seconds.

The study of the history of ceramic brick production in Yakutsk and the chronology of changing its nominal size is clearly seen on the example of stone buildings of the pre-revolutionary period, starting from the 18th century. Many architectural buildings made of ceramic brick have retained their integrity, uniqueness and exclusivity. Based on literary sources and archival documents, the main stages of the construction of the Trinity Cathedral (from 1708 to 1901) are traced, during which the unique architectural appearance of the first stone church in the city of Yakutsk is formed. Holy Trinity Cathedral in Yakutsk and recreating its historical appearance, bricks of the 18th and 19th centuries are selected to determine the durability of brickwork for the possibility of restoring the ancient architectural monument and their physical and mechanical properties are determined. The initial results of the survey of the building with a description of the structural features of the construction of brick walls and floors, the results of the study of the physical and mechanical properties of ceramic brick samples of different centuries are given. It is determined that ceramic bricks of the 18th century have a smaller grade in strength than bricks of the 19th century, but they are in good condition, which allows the restoration work. This study is another attempt to comprehend and understand the secrets of the masters, systematize and restore the chronology of the monument's history.
