Introduction. The existing types of connection assignment in the design scheme — hinged and absolutely rigid joints — do not reflect the actual operation of the connection. The lack of calculation of the actual rigidness of joint and its failure to take into account in the design of the frame can lead to a different distribution of efforts from the calculated one and an increase in the movement of the frame elements. The purpose of this work is to researching the influence of the change size of the elements forming the column base on its rotational rigidity. Materials and methods. The calculation of the transverse frame was performed in the Dlubal RFEM software package. The calculated efforts acting in the lower section of the column were transferred to the calculated models of the column base, made in the IDEA StatiCa software package, in which the further calculation of the joint rigidness was performed. Results. The rotational rigidness of the joints with different structural solutions of the column base is determined. The change in the rigidness of the connection between the column and the foundation with an increase in the thickness and height of the support ribs is analyzed. Based on the calculations, graphs of the identified dependencies are constructed. As an example of strengthening the base of the column, the introduction of a traverse was proposed. The article considers six variants of the traverse device, and variants with three support ribs and with traverses, but without support ribs. The calculated rigidness of the column bases is summarized in graphs, where it can be seen that the metal adding is effective only up to a certain point. Variants of the arrangement of column bases with additional transverse ribs are considered. Conclusions. The greatest contribution to the increase in the rotational rigidness of the joint is made by the addition of a traverse. By increasing the thickness or height of the introduced traverse, it is impossible to achieve absolutely rigid fixing, it is necessary to change several parameters in a complex way. The introduction of additional ribs located outside the plane of action of the moment practically does not affect the rigidity of the joint.

The scientific article is devoted to the coverage of the administrative procedure for providing electronic services by the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate of Ukraine. Different approaches to the concept of administrative procedure in terms of e-services provision are discussed. The stages of the procedure of providing electronic service in the form of submission of a declaration (notification) by individuals are characterized. It is established that before commencing the process of submission of the declaration (message), the service consumer must have a personal key and a valid enhanced certificate, which will be used during the submission process to affix an electronic digital signature to the form with the declaration (message). You can obtain enhanced key certificates at an accredited key certification center. Thus, at the moment the service supports certificates issued by the certification center of the information and reference department of the Ministry of Revenue and Collections of Ukraine. Install a Java computing software package on your computer and enable JavaScript scripts to run in your browser. Please note that detailed Java installation instructions are available at http://java.com/download/installed.jsp. You can download Java directly for Windows from http://www.java.com/download/windows_xpi.jsp. How to enable JavaScript scripts in your browser (http://www.enable-javascript.com/en/). It is concluded that the procedure of providing the service in electronic form, for example, the submission of a declaration (notification) by the state architectural and construction inspection of Ukraine is regulated in detail on the official website and still needs to improve the quality of the provision of these services in the form of simplification and accessibility for all consumers services.

This paper is to investigate the benefits of a new structural system (hereafter it is referred as “Ultra Hybrid System”) in high concrete buildings relying on the compound performance of the moment resistance frame, shear wall and infilled frame. In this case, the Ultra Hybrid System takes the advantage of the moment resistance frame and shear wall up to the height, where the wall performance reaches zero, while it is applied the infilled frame along with it. It is studied the system behavior based on using concrete-brick infilled frames in the upper floors to find out the interaction between the shear wall and infilled frame. Then, it is compared displacement, relative floor displacement, base shear, axial column loads in a hybrid system of the moment resistance frame and shear wall and the Ultra Hybrid System of the moment resistance frame, shear wall, and infilled frame. In this study, ETABS 2000 software package )Barkhordari et al., 2001) is used to model the system in compression diagonal mode. Finally, the results are presented in diagrams and tables.

Abstract: In this paper we seek to develop a genealogy – always unfinished – about the ways in which politics – specifically in its militant and engaged dimensions – manifests itself in cinema, throughout a historical frame that privileges the militant and collective production from the sixties and the seventies. During this period, several collectives and individual initiatives emerged regarding an engaged cinema. By recovering some of these initiatives it is possible to also recapture the issues that they addressed, such as the act of delegating the camera to the workers, the relations between the images made in moments of urgency – the point of view – and its assemblage in montage, the modes of distribution of the militant films. Therefore, we realize that the moment of political challenge will also be of formal invention in the scope of cinema. Keywords: militant cinema; collective cinema; counter-information.

The manufacture of mechanical components by means of biodegradable composites is the best alternative at the moment of reducing cost and weight, maintaining the mechanical characteristics. In this work the mechanical characteristics are shown as the result of combining a polyester matrix resin with a reinforcement of animal fiber such as horsehair. The results obtained correspond to mechanical characterization tests at traction, bending and impact by dart drop according to rules ASTM D3039/D3039M-17, D7264/D7264M-15 and D5628 respectively, made in four groups of test pieces of material combining a polyester matrix resin and reinforcement of horsemane. The development of materials composed of horsehair as reinforcements offers similar mechanical characteristics with traditional materials such as sheet steel or polymers, but with a considerable weight reduction, ideal for automotive applications such as bodywork or interior parts of vehicles.

This commentary focuses on Article 3.2.14 of the UNIDROIT Principles of International Commercial Contracts (PICC) concerning the retroactive effect of avoidance of a contract. Under Art 3.2.14, avoidance takes effect retroactively; that is, the contract is regarded as never having existed, and not merely as non-existent from the moment of avoidance. Unfulfilled obligations fall away and performances made in fulfilment of obligations have to be returned, according to Art 3.2.15. However, this is only a general proposition. Where avoidance only relates to certain terms of the contract, the other terms, whether fulfilled or unfulfilled, are left undisturbed, unless it would be unreasonable to do so. This commentary discusses the effect of retroactive avoidance in general, as well as its effect on contractual obligations, including unfulfilled and unaffected obligations and fulfilled obligations.

The investigations were made in the experimental sour cherry orchard from the Institute of Agriculture, Kyustendil, Bulgaria, during the period 2010-2014, in order to compare conventional and integrated sour cherry protection against cherry leaf spot and cherry fruit fly. Two variants were investigated, with two different treatment approaches for the control of cherry leaf spot and cherry fruit fly. Variant 1 – cherry leaf spot was controlled by protective treatments with dodin and tebuconazole + trifloxystrobin and cherry fruit fly was controlled by treatments with deltametrin and thiacloprid, independently of density. Variant 2 - cherry leaf spot was controlled by post-infection (curative) treatments with tebuconazole + trifloxystrobin and cherry fruit fly was controlled by treatments based on biological threshold: 10-11 cherry fruit fly females caught in traps up to the moment for chemical treatment. It was established that Blumeriella japii can be successfully controlled by post-infection treatments and by this the number of insecticide treatments was reduced. The treatments against cherry fruit fly can be avoided or reduced when the attack control is based on the biological threshold established in the studied area.

In a former paper I endeavoured to prove that the iodide of silver is capable of existing in three allotropic modifications, that it possesses a point of maximum density at or about 116° C., and that if a mass of the molten iodide be allowed to cool the following effects may be observed:—( α ) At the moment of solidification a very considerable contraction takes place; ( β ) the solid on further cooling undergoes slight and regular contraction, after the manner of solid bodies in general, until ( γ ) at or about 116° C. it undergoes sudden and violent expansion, passing from the amorphous into the crystalline condition; ( δ ) after undergoing this expansion the mass, on further cooling, undergoes slight expansion, and ( ϵ ) the coefficient of contraction diminishes as the temperature decreases (or otherwise expressed, the coefficient of contraction augments with the temperature). The following experiments were made in order to examine these effects more minutely, to determine the coefficients of contraction and expansion of the iodide, and to determine the coefficients of expansion of the chloride and bromide of silver between as great extremes of temperature as should be found practicable.

The most satisfactory method hitherto available for the measurement of percentage hœmolysis has been the potassium cell method described in an earlier paper (Ponder and Yeager, 1930). This method, however, has certain limitations and disadvantages, two of which are particularly conspicuous. (i) The galvanometer which records the photoelectric current takes several seconds to deflect, and several seconds more to settle at zero. This determines that no more than four readings of the degree of hœmolysis can be made in a minute, and that only a few points can be obtained on the percentage hœmolysis curve for rapidly hœmolysing systems. Even these points, moreover, are apt to be inaccurate, for lysis is going on during the time taken for the galvanometer to move ; the degree of lysis recorded is thus always greater than that really present at the moment the photoelectric cell first receives the light. The effect is to move the percentage hœmolysis curve over to the right by a distance corresponding to about 0-05 minutes ; this shift is of little consequence if lysis is slow, but may introduce considerable error if it is rapid. (ii) The method is unreliable in the sense that its efficiency depends on factors which are controlled with difficulty and which are liable to vary. Photoelectric fatigue, although usually absent, may appear during any experiment, the voltage of the high tension battery or of the accumulator which supplies the lamp may vary, or the potassium cell may glow as a result of a careless exposure to the light in the interval before the cells are added to the lysin in the chamber. Experience shows that these accidents often happen, and the necessity of being continually on one’s guard against them makes the measurement of percentage hœmolysis much more difficult than would appear at first sight.

This study investigates the influence of partial shear interaction and partial strength beam-to-column joints on the seismic performance of a multi-story composite frame. The moment-rotation relationship of the beam-to-column joints and the force-slip curve of the beam-to-slab connections have been calibrated on the basis of available experimental tests. The results of the numerical investigations show that the energy dissipation of the composite frame increases by reducing the shear connection degree. The shear connection degree has a significant effect on the total dissipated energy in case of rigid joints, whereas in case of partial strength joints the contribution of the joints to the dissipated energy is predominant. Low shear connection degrees can provide a source of dissipated hysteretic energy, above all in case of rigid joints, and can reduce the ductility demand on other parts of a composite frame, such as partial strength beam-to-column joints. However, the shear connection degree should be high enough in order to protect shear connectors from failure.
