The effects of several factors on willingness to take a counterattitudinal position in a forthcoming debate were investigated. Subjects were presented with the dilemma of either compromising their own position and thereby not forfeiting a competitive advantage in the debate or forfeiting a competitive advantage by not compromising their own position. Subjects were more willing to compromise their own position when they anticipated performing before an evaluative audience than when the debate was to be held in “private”. This effect generalized across type of audience (teammates or experimenter), type of issue (central or peripheral religious issue), and subject's initial position (extreme or moderate). While several of the manipulated variables significantly affected perceptions of the situation, none of the perceptions was strongly related to the behavioral measure. One implication of the results is that perhaps evaluation of performance per se is largely responsible for the observed lowered willingness on the part of group representatives to forfeit a competitive advantage.

Persons responsible for evaluation of performance have found that use of single-criterion measures invariably leads to undesirable side-effects. As a remedy, designers of evaluation methods would like to use multiple in place of single criteria, but are likely to have difficulty in amalgamating their multiple measures into a meaningful whole. Here is a method for combining multiple-criterion scores into a conceptually satisfying, overall figure-of-merit which can be used to rank subjects or projects in order of their excellence.

Abstract This article describes the application of a dynamic choice model of consumer preferences. It supported Jetstar, a subsidiary of Australia’s leading airline, QANTAS, to effectively and profitably compete in the low-cost carrier marketplace. The evolution of the Jetstar strategy is traced from its initial position through to its efforts to attain price competitiveness and service parity. The model helped service design and pricing initiatives to shift the perceived performance of Jetstar relative to its competitors. It further indicated how the airline could move market preferences towards areas in which it had competitive advantage. The Jetstar market share went from 14.0 % to 18.1 % during the first five quarterly waves of the research, while profits went from US $ 79 million 2006 / 07, before the study was commissioned, to US $ 124 million in 2008 / 09. Today, Jetstar remains the only successful low-cost offshoot of a full service airline in terms of shareholder returns

The hip joint is one of the body's important joints, most of the lower limb activities of the human body are inseparable from the hip joint, a novel bionic robot hip joint was proposed based on 3-DOF spherical parallel mechanism. The statics performance of the bionic robot hip joint was analyzed, and the structure parameters were designed. First, the static transmission equation of the bionic robot hip joint was established using the principle of virtual works, which simplifies the calculation process of the bionic robot hip joint. Further, using the norm in Matrix theory, the force Jacobian matrix was introduced into the statics performance evaluation index, and the statics performance evaluation index and the global torque performance evaluation index was defined, and the performance atlas of the statics performance evaluation index was plotted at the workspace of the bionic robot hip joint. Moreover the objective optimal function was established basing on the global torque performance evaluation index, and the relation of the objective optimal function and the global torque performance evaluation index were analyzed. By use of fully automatic searching method, the optimal structural parameter ranges of the bionic robot hip joint were obtained. Analysis results show that the bionic robot hip joint has good static transmission performance at initial position, and the static transmission performance is decreased with increasing the workspace. Finally, using a set of optimal structural sizes parameters, a novel bionic robot hip joint was designed, which established the theoretical foundation for the bionic robot design and apply.

Kinematics research of mechanism is very important, the dynamic analysis and the design are based on linematics analysis. In this paper, a novel robot hip joint based on 3-RRR orthogonal spherical parallel mechanism is proposed, and Jacobin matrix is established. Then the linematics transmission performance evaluation index is defined. Furthermore the linematics transmission performance index is analyzed. The hip joint has good linematics transmission performance at the initial position. With the increase of workspace, linematics transmission performance gradually decreased. 3-RRR parallel mechanism is the ideal prototype of bionic robot and rehabilitation robot hip joint.

On the basis of the characteristics of logistics distribution of agricultural products and using the system of performance evaluation of other logistic company and centers for reference , under the environment of Windows operating system, with the aid of the Visual Basic 6.0 tools, I have designed the software of performance evaluation of logistics’ distribution of flash agricultural product logistics whose contact surface is friendly, simple, practical, flexible and so on. It can complete the screening of indicators of performance evaluation of logistic companies, the calculation of target weight of the evaluation indicators and the synthesis evaluation of performance evaluation of logistics distribution of agricultural product logistics.

Performance evaluation is the first step of a company in reaching its competitive advantage in the midst of globalization and free market enactment. The result of performance evaluation can be used as strategic formulation and decision making in fixing performance indicator which is considered as poor. From the facts, this research uses the evaluation adopted from PwC, which used to evaluate the performance of a consulting service company in Indonesia named XYZ Ltd. The reason for choosing PwC business model is because it covers all aspects that affect company’s ability to achieve competitive advantage. Moreover, this research uses 5 of 7 aspects of performance measurement offered by PwC business model. Measurement indicators and characteristics based on library research and company’s internal managerial party interviews are made, so that the evaluation process can be interpreted into the formulation of strategic improvement and decisions making. The result of performance measurement is expected to be able to give a new perspective in overall performance evaluations of consulting companies and evaluate company’s ability to win over its competitors, as well as to prove the ability of PwC’s measurement model in evaluating the performance of consulting companies in Indonesia model of performance.

The purpose of the research is to identify the performance of computer’s teachers in the private elementary school in accordance the standards of the automated computer teachers with the fifteen standards that  are prepared for the research, in private elementary schools under the supervision of Baghdad directorate/the first Rusafa for the year 2015 – 2016 with reliable choices to the place to evaluate the teachers performance of the (58) teachers working in (37) schools, the sample of the study was selected randomly about (58) teachers, the sample  is about of (26) teachers from (15) schools.       The researchers are  prepared note form which is  included (56) reference as the final  form that are spread over (15) standard and after checking the reliability of the tool  then they have been reached to  constancy according Alpha Cronbach’s manner which amounted (0.93) , which is good enough for the purposes of scientific research.       The list of criteria in its primary form is contained (16) standards and (61) index that has been presented to observers to indicate their views and comments to proof its appropriateness for the Iraqi environment in general and to evaluate the performance of private primary schools teachers in particular which is reliable with the efficient content in Iraq and the capabilities and potential of our teachers.       The researchers  are viewing the note form as the final form  to the same group of judges who received their answers on the preparation of the list to clarify the validity of the appropriate criteria and indicators for performance evaluation form sought by the researchers, the arbitrators select each indicator of the criteria in note form and in doing so has been the selection of indicators which got (83%) or more percentage agreement to be within the content of the form, as the final total indicators (56) index spread over (15) standards. The data was collected and analyzed by using the following statistical methods, percentile weight, the weighted average, percentage, (t – test) for two independent samples and alpha Cronbach. Finally, the recommendations and suggestions are presented.

AbstractIn the airline industry where intense competition has taken place, performance evaluation is vital for airlines to achieve their goals and to gain a competitive advantage. This study aims to evaluate the performance of airlines based on the role of performance evaluation in the airline industry. For this purpose, twelve FSCs (Full-Service Carriers) were evaluated based on financial and airline-specific performance indicators for the 2015-2017 period. While the sample consisted of Star Alliance member airlines, an integrated CRITIC and CODAS methodology was proposed in the study. In addition, a sensitivity analysis was performed after the application to examine the accuracy and the stability of the results. The results of the study reveal that financial indicators have a higher impact on performance compared to operational indicators. Moreover, Singapore Airline (SIA) is the best airline regardless of T change.
