The training aims at improving the capability of the trainingparticipants – teachers – for teaching Geography Information System by(1) giving information and introduction about the process in implementingSIG for the teachers of senior high schools (SMA/MA). (2) Demonstratinghow to operate the technology of geography information system and (3)socializing the existence and technological implementation system ofSIG. the methods used are speech, discussion, peer teaching and practice.The place to practice it is in the laboratory of Geography faculty of UMS.The participants are allowed to operate hardware and software of SIG.The result of pretest by using questioner and brainstorming shows thatmost of the participants master SIG in cognitive domain in comprehensionlevel for the theory of SIG, while for its operation; they are in perceptionlevel of psychomotor domain. At the end of the training, the participantsshow that there is the change of comprehension about the theory of SIGfrom cognitive level to implementation level, whereas in the operation ofSIG, the change is from perception level to implementation with guidance.The result of training is supplemented by the response of the participantswhich is appropriate to the target score. The response of the task ofidentification is the use of map and SIG in teaching Geography whichfinds that teaching Geography in senior high schools (SMA/MA) isdirected to 3 targets: 1. analyzing the impulse of physical nature and thedevelopment of the shape of the earth and its reservation. 2. Evaluatingsocial impulse in the earth and its interaction as well as its effect to ourlife and 3. Using the concept of region and graphic in understandinglocation, design, distribution and the relationship among the objectsinvolved the specification for industry.

Alih fungsi lahan pertanian ke non pertanian menjadi permasalahan di kawasan pinggiran perkotaan. Alih fungsi lahan ini disebabkan land rent lahan pertanian tidak menguntungkan dibandingkan jika dibandingkan dengan lahan komersil. Jika kondisi ini terus berlanjut maka akan mengancam ketahanan pangan suatu wilayah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memodelkan penentuan lahan sawah berkelanjutan berdasarkan analisis spasial dan teknik penginderaan jauh. Analisis yang digunakan meliputi analisis interpretasi citra, Geography Information System (GIS), analisis statistik, dan analisis prediksi ketersediaan lahan sawah. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Semarang dengan perkembangan perkotaan yang cepat. Variabel dalam menyusun model lahan sawah berkelanjutan ini terdiri dari variabel produktivitas tanaman, kepadatan dan jangkauan jaringan jalan dan sungai, kawasan lindung, serta proyeksi arah perkembangan perkotaan. Hasil analisis produktivitas tanaman menghasilkan persamaan statistik produktivitas (ton/ha) = 3,795 (NDVI) + 3,774 dan nilai r² sebesar 0,854. Terdapat selisih antara data dinas dengan data peneliti sebesar 2,8% dari luas lahan pertanian eksisiting. Selisish luas ini dikarenakan perbedaan skala peta, proses analisis, dan metode yang digunakan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa lahan sawah berkelanjutan ketersediannya mulai berkurang, sehingga perlu adanya ketegasan pemerintah daerah dalam menjaga ketersedian lahan sawah.

This security with mass storage is satisfied by using GIS cloud server. This chapter discuss with an Integrated Geographic Information System with ES using Cloud Computing.

This work defined an Eulerian-based computational model compared with regression of the relationship between the dependent and independent variables for water hammer surge wave in transmission pipeline. The work also mentioned control of Unaccounted-for-Water (UFW) based on the Geography Information System (GIS) for water transmission pipeline. The experimental results of laboratory model and the field test results showed the validity of prediction achieved by computational model.

Accurate evaluation of the spatial distribution of medical facility accessibility is a prerequisite for the rational allocation of medical resources. Based on the researches on the accessibility of medical space from home and abroad,using 2SFCA and the law of gravity,along with the application of geography information system (GIS),this paper analyzes the accessibility of medical facility in Wuchang District of Wuhan City.
