Agricultural management cropping systems play an important role in affecting a crop plant’s ability to tolerate or resist insect pests.  Field studies were conducted to examine the effect of two strategies management systems: fertilizer treatment and intercropping soybean with corn on soybean  aphid (Aphis glycines Matsumura) population and soybean growth  and yield parameters. The intercropping treatments were: soybean alone; 2:1 soybean/corn intercrop; and 3:1 soybean/corn intercrop. While the soil fertility treatments were the combination of NPK (urea 100 kg ha-1 + SP-36 200 kg ha-1 + KCl 200 kg ha-1) levels, dolomite (4 ton ha-1), compost  (10 ton ha-1), and chicken manure (10 ton ha-1).  The results of the first study showed that the intercropping soybean with corn  significantly reduced the population density of soybean aphids. However, there were no significant effects of intercropping systems on soybean growth (plant height) and yield (number seed per pod and  thousand seed weight) performances except on the number of soybean pods per plant. Meanwhile, the result of the second study indicated that soil fertilizer treatments had  a significant effect on the soybean plant characteristics: leaf numbers; pod numbers; and plant height.  Combining  intercropping methods and soil fertilizer management offer an opportunity to protect the soybean plants by natural and sustainable pest management.

Intensive agriculture is a farming system characterized by a lot use of input, causing a harm stress on the environment, as well as high price of inorganic fertilizers discouraged some farmers in Jordan to apply fertilizers to their crops. The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of chicken manure and NPK on growth and yield of sweet pepper (Caspicum annum L.), A greenhouse experiment was conducted at Albalqa applied university research station in Jordan using randomized complete block design (RCBD) replicated four times. Three treatments were used using Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four replications: control (without fertilizer), chicken manure at the rate of 15 t/ha, and NPK (15:15:30) with trace elements at 100 Kg/ha. We evaluated plant height (cm), leaves number per plant, number of days to 50% flowering, fruit number per plant, fruit length, yield of fruit per plant (kg), and yield of fruit per hectare (t/ha). Treatments showed significant differences between. The NPK treatment gave the highest plant height (cm), leaves number per plant, fruits number per plant, yield of fruits per plant (kg), and yield of fruits per hectare (t/ha).

AbstractTo address recent concerns related to auxin herbicide drift onto soybean, a study was developed to understand the susceptibility of the reproductive stage of soybean to a new auxin herbicide compared with dicamba. Florpyrauxifen-benzyl is under development as the second herbicide in a new structural class of synthetic auxins, the arylpicolinates. Field studies were conducted to (1) evaluate and compare reproductive soybean injury and yield following applications of florpyrauxifen-benzyl or dicamba across various concentrations and reproductive growth stages and (2) determine whether low-rate applications of florpyrauxifen-benzyl or dicamba to soybean in reproductive stages would have similar effect on the progeny of the affected plants. Soybean were treated with 0, 1/20, or 1/160, of the 1X rate of florpyrauxifen-benzyl (30 g ai ha−1) or dicamba (560 g ae ha−1) at R1, R2, R3, R4, or R5 growth stage. Soybean plant height and yield was reduced from 1/20X dicamba across all reproductive stages. High drift rates (1/20X) of florpyrauxifen-benzyl also reduced soybean plant height >25% and yield across R1 to R4 stages. Germination, stand, plant height, and yield of the offspring of soybean plants treated with dicamba and florpyrauxifen-benzyl were significantly affected. Dicamba applied at a rate of 1/20X at R4 and R5 resulted in 20% and 35% yield reduction for the offspring, respectively. A similar reduction occurred from florpyrauxifen-benzyl applied at R4 and R5 at the 1/20X rate, resulting in 15% to 24% yield reduction for the offspring, respectively. Based on these findings, it is suggested that growers use caution when applying these herbicides in the vicinity of reproductive soybean.

Until now, soybean is still one of the priority food commodities in Indonesia. in the agricultural revitalization program launched by the government in 2005, due to the high price volatility that did not rule out the possibility of shaking the Indonesian economy. Soybean plants can provide positive and negative responses to environmental changes growing above and in the soil.  This response can be known from phenotypic and physiological changes in plants. The environment on land which influences the growth of soybean plants mainly is the duration and intensity of irradiation, air temperature, CO2 content in the atmosphere. The study aims to determine the impact of street lighting on the growth and yield of soybean plants.  The study used a Randomized Block Design Method with 3 treatments,  and each treatment was repeated 9 times, so that it takes 27 treatment plots. J0= Distance of street lighting to soybean land (meters), J1: 50 meters, J2: 60 meters, and J3: 70 meters.  Observations were made one week after planting at 7-day intervals for growth parameters (plant height and number of leaves), while for the production parameters (Number of Content Pods/Plants, Dry Weight (DW) 100 Seeds, DW Seeds/Plots, and DW Seeds/Ha) are carried out after harvest. From the results of the study it can be concluded that there are real differences in the parameters of growth and production (number of filled pods, DW 100 seeds, DW seeds/plot, and DW seeds/ha), where the J3 treatment is capable of producing 2.89 tons/ha (an increase in dry weight of seeds/ha by 28.4%), compared to J1 2.24 tonnes/ha , although not significantly different from Treatment  J2

<p><em>Cauliflower is one of the vegetables for consumers. The demand for cauliflower was rising so it must be scaled up with fertilizer. The purpose of this study was to study the effect of chicken manure and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of cauliflower. The study was conducted in Sukasenang Village, Banyuresmi Sub-district, Garut Regency from July to August 2019. The study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD) in two factors each of the 3 rates with 2 replications. The first factor was the rates of chicken manure which consisted of 0, 10 and 20 tons ha<sup>-1</sup>; the second factor was NPK fertilizer which consists of 0, 100 and 200 kg ha<sup>-1</sup>. The parameter of this research was plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, weight and diameter crud. The results showed that there was no interaction between the chicken manure and NPK fertilizer. The treatment of 20 tons ha<sup>-1</sup> chicken manure affected the variable plant height, the number of leaves and leaf area. The rates of 200 kg ha<sup>-1</sup> NPK fertilizer had affected plant height, number of leaves, weight and diameter crud.</em></p>

To evaluate the effects of integrated nutrient management on growth and yield of BARI tomato-14 and soil fertility, a pot experiment was conducted in the net house of the department of Agricultural Chemistry of Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh during the period from October 2011 to April 2012. The experiment was laid out in a completely randomized design with 11 treatments and 3 replications. Treatments were control, RDCF100, 75% RDCF, 50% RDCF, 75% RDCF + PM2 t /ha, 75% RDCF + RS3 t /ha, 75% RDCF + PHRD, 50% RDCF + PM3 t /ha, 50% RDCF + RS5 t /ha, 50% RDCF + PHRD, PM3 t /ha + RS5 t /ha + PHRD. Among the treatments applied in combination of PM2 t /ha+ 75% of RDCF excelled in growth trends of morphological characters like plant height, number of branches plant- 1, number of leaves plant-1; available soil P and S. But sole application of RDCF100 recorded higher values for almost all morphological characters namely number of branches plant-1, number of leaves plant-1, fruit diameter, fruit weight plant-1 and yield of tomato following the same trend as seen in combined application of CF and PM. Among the plant hormone applied in combination, RDCF75% + PHRD showed the highest plant height. The more number of leaves plant-1, number of branches plant-1, yield and yield parameters as compared to other treatments were also significantly influenced by application of PH. Combined application of 50% of RDCF+RS5 t /ha increased exchangeable soil K. PM3 t /ha+ RS5 t /ha+ PHRD conserved more organic carbon and total soil N. Results showed that the integrated use of PM, RS along with CF increased the availability of nutrients throughout the growth period by maintaining the long term productivity for sustainable production of tomato. An abandoned land after tin-mining activities are degraded lands with undulating and destructed land scape and low soil fertility status. The objective of this study was to determine the effects of organic amendments on the soil properties, growth, and grain yield of corn (Zea mays L.) on abandoned tin-mining areas in Bangka Island, Bangka Belitung Archipelago. The field experiment was conducted at the abandoned tin-mining areas in Cambai Village, Bangka Belitung Archipelago. Five treatments of organic amendments were applied and replicated three times and laid out in a Randomized Completely Block Design. All treatments were applied with the recommended rate fertilizer of 135 kg N ha-1, 72 kg P2O5 ha-1, and 120 kg K2O ha-1.  The treatments were T1= 20 Mg chicken manure ha-1;T2= 20 Mg cattle manure ha-1; T3= 20 Mg rice straw compost ha-1; T4 : 10 Mg of chicken manure ha-1 + 10 Mg rice straw compost ha-1; and T5= 10 Mg cattlemanure ha-1 + 10 Mg rice straw compost  ha-1. Application of organic amendments (chicken manure, cattle manure, and rice straw compost) on abandoned tin-mining land improved soil fertility due to the increasing of soil pH and nutrient availability, especially available-P and -K, and exchangeable bases. Application of chicken manure and cattle manure were significantly better than rice straw compost to improving soil fertility, nutrient uptake, growth and yield of maize. Application of cattle manure gave the highest yield of maize, namely 6.24 Mg ha-1.

Abstract The experiment was carried out at the Research Station of the Department of Horticulture dept. of Tikrit University for the season 2020-2021 to investigate the effect of organic fertilization with treatments (control, poultry manure, and Humobacter fertilizer) and mulching type with four Mulching type (no mulching, black mulch, white mulch, and yellow mulch). A randomized complete blocks (RCBD) design and a split-plot method were used in the experiment, which included three replications. The Humobacter fertilizer treatment considerably outperformed of plant height, and overall plant yield, which were 21.69 cm, and 46.55 tons -1, respectively, compared to 19.03 cm, and 28.10 tons -1, respectively, As for the mulch treatments, the yellow mulch treatments were achieved the best values of number leaves, plant yield for one plant and the total plant yield, 16.81 leaf-1, 50.38 cm, 1.42 kg and 47.31 tons -1, respectively.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of chicken manure and urea on the growth and yield of onion leaves on inland peat soil. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial with two treatment factors. The first factor is that chicken manure fertilizer application consists of 4 levels, namely: 0, 5, 10 and 15 tons/ha, and the second factor is the provision of urea that consists of 3 levels, namely: 0, 125 and 250 kg/ha. The variables measured were plant height and fresh weight of the leaves of onion plants. The results showed that the interaction between chicken manure and urea fertilizer had no significant effect on all variables observed at all ages observed. Single factor giving 15 tons/ha of chicken manure fertilizer showed growth and better results on the average variable plant height and fresh weight of the leaves of onion plants in inland peat soil. Single factor giving of urea 250 kg/ha showed growth and better results on the average variable plant height and fresh weight of onion plants in inland peat soil.

The research was carried out in the Tigapanah Village Farmers' field, Tigapanah Subdistrict, Karo Regency, from March to June 2016, where altitude was ± 1200 meters above sea level, Adosol land. The aim of the study was to determine the chicken manure dosage and the concentration of coconut water and its interaction with the growth and yield of Ercis plants (Pisumsativum L). Factorial Randomized Group Design (RBD) 4 levels, factor I: dose acquisition 1) without manure (control) 2) chicken manure 2) 200 g / plant, 3) 300 g / plant, 4) 400 g / plant (A0 , A1, A2, and A3). Factor II. Concentration of coconut water 4 level 1) 0 ml / plant, 2) 100 ml / plant, 3) 200 ml / plant, 4) 300 ml / plant (K0, K1, K2, K3). The results of the study showed that the effect of using chicken manure was significantly different (p ˃ 0.05) on the growth of plant height, number of branches, pods and weights of Ercis plants except that the age began to flower. Giving a dose of coconut water also gave a significantly different effect (p ˃ 0.05) on the growth of plant height, number of branches, production of pods and production weights except age began to flower. The interaction of doses of chicken manure and doses of coconut water did not have a significant effect on all observed parameters.

The increase in market demand red spinach (Amaranthus Gangeticus) makes the prospects very promising less than optimal for the growth of red spinach (Amaranthus Gangeticus) because soil fertility is low so that the provision of organic material can improve soil fertility through the improvement of the physical, chemical, and biological soil so that it can support the growth of red spinach. This study aims to determine the dose of manure, the dosage of rice husk ash as well as the interaction of dosage that is optimal for the growth and yield of red spinach.this research was conducted experimental farm of the faculty of science and technology with a height of 28 meters above sea level Labuhanbatu district in March to October 2020. Research design using group factorial consisting of two factors. The first factor, namely the granting of cow manure (L) with three levels, namely : L0 = 0 ton/ha (control) L1 = 2 ton/ha, equivalent to 200 g/m2 (the recommended dose), L2 = 4 ton/ha, equivalent to 400 g/m2, L3 = 6 ton/ha, equivalent to 600 g/m2. The second factor, rice husk ash (A) consists of 4 levels, namely : A0 = 0 ton/ha (control), A1 = 1 ton/ha equivalent to 50 g/m2 (the recommended dose), A2 = 1.5 tons/ha, equivalent to 75 g/m2.The Parameters measured were plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), Weight per Plant Sample (g). The results showed that the administration of cow manure 4 ton/ha, equivalent to 400 g/m2 can increase plant height, leaf number, and weight per Plant of amaranth red. The provision of 1.5 tons/ha, equivalent to 75 g/m2 can increase plant height, the number of leaves plant red spinach (Amaranthus Gangeticus).Keywords: Rice Husk Ash, Red Spinach, Cow Manure, Plant Growth
