Literacy is required in the 4.0 industrial revolution and education in Indonesia. However, the real condition indicated that the integration of literacy in science learning of the science teachers was still limited. The solution of this problem is assisting the partner in writing science thematic learning material by integrating new literacy and disaster literacy. The objective of assisting is to improve competency of science teachers in writing thematic learning material. The target of the assisting activity was the teachers in science MGMP in Agam district. Methods in assisting include presentation and discussion, group work, independent task, and task presentation. Instruments to collect the data consist of knowledge test and questionnaire. Data analysis techniques were descriptive statistical analysis and paired comparison test. There are four results of the assistance, namely: 1). The average value of skills in integrating new literacy into thematic science worksheet is 70.5 and this average value can be classified into good category, 2). Teachers felt the benefits of assistance in aspects of learning material, thematic learning, integration of new literacy and disaster literacy in learning, and writing of thematic learning material, 3). The response of student from to the use of thematic science worksheet by integrating new literacy can be entered into very good category with an average value of 86.7, and 4). The implementation of assisting on the writing of thematic science learning material is effective to improve the new literacy and disaster literacy of science teachers.

The 4.0 industrial revolution requires humans to possess 21st century skills. Education should be able to prepare students to have 21st century skills to be successful in their life. In addition, the geographical condition of Indonesia is a disaster-prone region. For this reason, teaching should be able to develop student literacy to face the challenges of the industrial revolution 4.0 and the geographical condition of the Indonesian region. The thematic science teaching is relevant to 21st century skills, essential principles of 21st century learning, and the geographical condition of Indonesia. But the real conditions show that the integration of literacy in science teaching is still lacking and limited. A solution to solve this problem is the assistance program the development of thematic learning material by integrating new literacy and disaster literacy for science teachers in junior high school. The objective of the research is to investigate the results of the assistance program the development of thematic learning material. Participants of program assistance were 30 science teachers who were members of the Science MGMP in East Agam district. The instrument for collecting data consisted of pretest and posttest and questionnaire sheet. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics analysis and wilcoxon signed rank test. Based on the results of data analysis can be stated that: 1). in the assistance program activities for the development of thematic science teaching material can be produced 26 teaching materials in the form of student worksheet by integrating new literacy and disaster literacy, 2). the average value of the practicality of using thematic science worksheet according to students in two junior high schools is 86.41 so that this average value can be classified into very good category, 3). the average value of participant responses to the implementation of the assistance program is 85.65 and this average value can be entered into very good category, and 4). the assistance program for developing learning material by integrating new literacy and disaster literacy is effective to improve knowledge of science teachers about data literacy, technological literacy, human literacy, and disaster literacy.

The process and student learning outcomes in science learning material properties of light is a problem faced by class IV SD Negeri 3 Mengwi. Student activity and learning outcomes have not been maximized because the teacher delivered science learning materials using the lecture method. This is the background of the researchers to conduct research with the aim of improving the process and learning outcomes of science with material properties of light with learning models Contextual Teaching and Learning. This research is a type of classroom action research conducted in SD Negeri 3 Mengwi. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students, amounting to 27 students consisting of 14 female students and 13 male students. The implementation of this study used 2 cycles. Instruments used to collect data are observation sheets, interviews, documentation and test questions. The results of this study indicate that science learning outcomes with material properties of light using the Contextual Teaching and Learning model in SD Negeri 3 Mengwi have increased in two cycles with quite satisfactory values. There was an increase in learning outcomes from cycle 1 an average value of 68.51 to 75.37 in cycle 2. In addition, there was an increase in the learning process of students in science learning carried out by teachers using the Contextual Teaching and Learning model. This study aimed to analyze and describe the development of science learning characterized by Islam for students of Islamic elementary schools in the era of the fourth industrial revolution. The existence of technological developments today leads to changes in social development. This certainly also has an impact on the character development of children, especially those at the elementary school or Islamic elementary school level. Science learning is one of learning in Islamic elementary schools, which is not only required to follow the development of these technologies but also cannot be separated from the Islamic character as a characteristic of madrasah. The research method used was literacy studies by collecting existing data from journal studies, books and other sources relevant to the problem. From the results of the study, it was found that science learning at the level of Islamic elementary schools must be in Islamic character and should follow the development of the present and existing technology. It is suggested to improve the curriculum and the science teachers’ ways of teaching based on the current technology.

Learning science in elementary school are learning that should be understood students tounderstand the various problems that occurred in the neighborhood. The subjects were fourthgrade students of Karangtowo elementary school Karangtengah District of Demak district by thenumber of students 27 students. Issues to be discussed include how to improve learningachievement and behavioral changes after making science learning material structure andfunction of plant parts in the fourth grade students of Karangtowo elementary schoolKarangtengah District of Demak district after learning method STAD with the applicationlearning CD. This study uses classroom action research design with two cycles. Each cycleconsists of action planning, action, observation, and reflection. Before taking action done priorlearning pre-cycle ago, which is used as the basis for corrective actions implemented.Results of preliminary tests prior to the act of research, namely in pre-cycle average valueobtained at 66.30. Because the value obtained student in materials science learning structure andfunction of plant parts are still considered very poor, so it needs to be implemented correctiveaction learning cycle I. In the first cycle the average value obtained for class 78.89. Values areachieved by students in the first cycle have been increased quite dramatically, but the valueachieved is still quite a lot that has not reached the minimum standards in the standar value is73.00. In addition, the participation of students is not yet active. There are still a lot of quite a lotof students are shy in presenting their opinions and ask questions. However, participation ofstudents in the first cycle is much better than before the implementation of the action. Based on theresults achieved, it is necessary to repair the holding of the second cycle. In the second cycle ofthe value achieved by students has increased very significantly by an increase of 86.30.Participant enthusiasm of the students and of students in the second cycle is much better. Therehave been many students who dared to ask and answer various matters relating to the learningscience material structure and function of the plant.

Purpose: This study aims to examine the application of scientific approaches in learning in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, classify the forms of learning activities of learners in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, and analyze the significant influence between scientific approaches to student learning activities in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah, Indonesia. Approach/Methodology/Design: In this study, a mixed method is employed. The instruments in this study are observation guidelines, interview guidelines, questionnaire guidelines, and document analysis. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, documentation, and reference tracing. Data processing and analysis techniques are carried out in two ways, namely processing and analyzing data qualitatively and quantitatively, including descriptive analysis, and simple linear regression analysis.   Findings:  The results of this study show that in general Madrasah Ibtidaiyah teachers have applied a scientific approach in science learning in accordance with the procedures contained in the thematic learning of 2013 curriculum. In terms of students' learning activities, science teachers have improved students' learning activities through visual, oral, listening, writing, drawing, motoric, mental, and emotional activities. The scientific approach employed has positively influenced learning activities with the regression value obtained at 0.436. Practical Implication: The implication of this research is that systemic and systematic measures are needed in developing a scientific approach from the authorities with the provision of adequate facilities in order to implement it more optimally. Employing scientific approaches improve students’ learning process not only in Madrasah, but contributes to the development of scientific thinking can be done by parents in the family environment. Originality/value: This research is useful for teachers in developing pedagogic and professional competencies.

Good competence of students is very important in the 21 st century. Integrated curriculum is a good way to develop student’s competence in this century. For this reason, integrated science learning and integration of literacy in learning are important for students. However, integrated science and literacy can’t be implemented well. Solution of this problem is to develop adaptive contextual learning model of integrated science by integrating digital age literacy. Objective of the initial research is to describethe potency which supports the implementation of integrated science learning, the implementation of science learning in school, the characteristics of students, and thedigital age literacy. Type of research is descriptive research. As research subjects were science teachers and students who study science in three junior high schools in Padang.Instruments to collects the data were observation sheet, questionnaire sheet, and literacy test sheet. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics analysis. The results of the preliminary research are: 1). average value of supporting factors of the implementation of integrated science is 76.83 which classified into good category, 2). average value of contextual learning and integrated learning materials of science in learning respectively48.3 and 37.5 and these values can be entered into low category, 3). characteristics of students in background, interest, attitudes, learning motivation, and learning style are entered into good category with average value of 65.9, and 4). average value of digital age literacy of students is 42,92 which grouped into low category.

Experiment is important in physics to explain and describe a physical phenomenon and its characteristics. For this reason physics teachers should conduct the physics experiment activities to motivate students in learning and to improve scientific process skills, scientific attitudes, and student understanding in physics learning. However, in the experiment activities of physics were found many problems such as experiment equipment was insufficient, there is no equipment, equipment can�t operated well, and so on. An alternative solution to solve this problem was to do the video analysis and modeling tool tracker on physics teacher. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of the implementation the tracker video analysis and modeling tool on physics teachers. The research design was pretest and postest for one group sample. The sample of research was 26 physics teachers of Physics MGMP teacher in Agam district of West Sumatera. Instruments to collect the data consist of pretest and postest sheet, performance assessment sheet of video analysis product and questionnaires sheet of physics teachers. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistical analysis, normality test, homogeneity test and paired comparison test for one group sample. From the data analysis, it can be stated that: 1). the average value of video analysis products from physics teachers is 85.10 and this value can be classified into very good category, 2). the average value of responses of physics teachers on training implementation of video analysis and tool modeling is 73.81 and this average value can be grouped into good category, and 3). the implementation of video analysis training of object motion video by using tracker software is effective to improve the understanding the physics MGMP teachers in Agam district on learning material of tracker video analysis and modeling tool, but the average value of understanding still in the low category.

With advancing technology, “literacy” evolves to include new forms of literacy made possible by digital technologies. “New literacy” refers to using technology to research, locate, evaluate, synthesize and communication information. The purpose of the study is to develop a framework to guide science teachers' new literacy practices, and examine the impact of new literacy approach on students' science learning and new literacy skills. The authors worked with 25 middle school science teachers through a two-year professional development (PD), and followed their implementation to investigate the PD impact on their classroom practices and students' learning outcomes. The authors adopted mixed-methods to examine change in teachers' new literacy practices, students' science learning outcomes, and students' confidence in new literacy skills. The study results showed increases in teachers' frequency and types of new literacy practices, positive impact on students' science learning and confidence in new literacy skills. Factors affecting teachers' new literacy practice are also reported.
