AbstractThe purpose of this activity is to empower the potential owned by the partner community. The activities are conducted from July to November 2017. Activity partners are Ati Rohati and home industries Wahyuni. Location of activity in Suka Meriah Village Siosar Kec. Brand Kab. Karo. This village is an area where the relocation of people affected by eruption of Mount Sinabung. Located 110 km from Unimed. Methods of implementation of activities are education, production training, business management training, machine use and mentoring. Output t of this activity is 1) Potato Sticker Machine and 2) Potato Stick. Specifications of potato sticks are: 1) Have nutritional content: Carbohydrates, Proteins, fats, iron, and fiber; 2) Durable and hygienic. Results of activities obtained are partners have knowledge of potato stick processing, actively participating partners, skilled partners using potato sticker printing machine. ABSTRACT. Small and medium enterprises, including home industries in regions in Indonesia, experience almost the same problems, namely low productivity, one of which is caused by business management that is still very traditional and the absence of use or use of information and communication technology to support goods promotion activities or services produced. The problem encountered by partners in this program is that the business management carried out is still very simple, does not have a good and neat bookkeeping system, so that profits and losses cannot be detected properly, and the marketing network that is owned is very limited, and does not have the ability to use technology Information as a media for promotion and marketing. Business management training and training in the use of information and communication technology in the form of using social media by maximizing social networks is expected to increase turnover or productivity levels of partners. With the aim of this activity, can provide solutions in the form of the ability to make bookkeeping, technical ability to get business assistance from other parties, and the motivation. Keyword: Social Media, Business Management, Traditional Woven Fabrics. ABSTRAK. Usaha kecil menengah termasuk industri rumah tangga yang terdapat di daerah-daerah di Indonesia mengalami permasalahn yang hampir sama yakni rendahnya produktifitas yang salah satunya disebabkan oleh manajemen usaha yang masih sangat tradisional dan belum adanya pemanfaatan atau penggunaan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk mendukung kegiatan promosi barang atau jasa yang dihasilkan. Permasalahan yang ditemui di pada UKM yang menjadi mitra dalam program ini adalah Manajemen usaha yang dijalankan masih sangat sederhana, belum memiliki sistem pembukuan yang baik dan rapi, sehingga keuntungan maupun kerugian tidak dapat terdeteksi dengan baik, dan jaringan pemasaran yang dimiliki sangat terbatas, serta belum memiliki kemampuan penggunaan Teknologi Informasi sebagai media promosi dan pemasaran. Pelatihan manajemen usaha dan pelatihan pemanfaatan tekonologi informasi dan komunikasi berupa pemanfaatan media sosial dengan memaksimalkan jejaring-jejaring sosial diharapkan mampu meningkatkan omset atau tingkat produktifitas para mitra. Dengan tujuan kegiatan ini, dapat memberikan solusi berupa kemampuan membuat pembukuan, kemampuan teknis mendapatkan bantuan usaha dari pihak lain, dan adanya motivasi berusaha. Kata kunci: Media Sosial, Manajemen Usaha, Kain Tenun Tradisional.

Abstrak Tujuan kegiatan ini  : (1) Memberikan mesin pencampur adonan  dan alat pemanggang kue (oven deck) guna membantu mitra memproduksi donat; (2) Memberikan inovasi baru pada usaha donat  melalui pelatihan produksi donat bakar, sehingga jenis donat yang di produksi semakin banyak; (3) Memberikan pelatihan menajemen usaha sehingga dapat meningkatkan produksinya. Mitra kegiatan yaitu Usaha Donat Mutiara  dan Usaha Donat Citarasa di Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 8 bulan tahun 2016. Metode Pelaksanaan adalah pendidikan, produksi, pelatihan manajemen usaha, penggunaan alat dan pendampingan. Hasil kegiatan yang diperoleh mitra mampu memproduksi donat bakar dengan berbagai kreasi. Peralatan yang diberikan kepada mitra dapat mempercepat produksi mitra. Pelatihan manajemen usaha yang diberikan dapat memperbaiki pembukuan keuangan mitra. Kata Kunci: Usaha, Donat, Bakar Abstract The purpose of this activity: (1) Providing mixing machines and oven to help partners produce donuts; (2) Providing new innovations to donut business through training in the production of grain donuts, so that the types of donuts in production more and more; (3) Providing business management training so as to increase production. Activity Partners are Donut Donut Business and Donate Cuisine Business in Deli Serdang Regency. Activities are implemented for 8 months in 2016. Implementation methods are education, production, business management training, tool usage and assistance. The results of activities obtained by the partners are able to produce donuts with a variety of fruits creations. Equipment provided to partners can accelerate partner production. Abstrak Stick adalah camilan yang disenangi karena rasanya yang gurih. Stik di buat dengan berbagai rasa, salah satunya rasa wortel.  Mitra kegiatan yaitu usaha industri rumahtangga Mekar Mandiri dan usaha industri rumahtangga Merpati Putih di Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa. Tujuan Kegiatan ini pengembangan usaha pengolahan stick wortel. Kegiatan dilaksanakan 8 bulan tahun 2016. Metode Pelaksanaan melalui pendidikan, pelatihan produksi, pelatihan manajemen usaha, penggunaan mesin dan pendampingan. Target luaran yaitu : a) mesin pencetak stick wortel; b) stick wortel. Hasil kegiatan yang diperoleh adalah mitra mampu memproduksi stick wortel. Mitra dapat mengoperasikan mesin pencetak stick wortel dengan baik. Abstrak Tujuan Kegiatan ini adalah pengembangan usaha pengolahan melalui kerupuk pangsit. Kegiatan dilaksanakan mulai bulan April-November 2016. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan  adalah  pendidikan,  pelatihan produksi, pelatihan manajemen usaha, penggunaan mesin dan pendampingan. Mitra kegiatan yaitu home industri Ofita dan home industri Uci Snack di Kota Medan. Target luaran kegiatan ini adalah  mengembangkan usaha mita melalui pembuatan kerupuk pangsit herbal. Hasil kegiatan yang diperoleh yaitu mitra memiliki pengetahuan tentang pengolahan kerupuk pangsit herbal, mitra berpartisipasi aktif, mitra  terampil menggunakan alat pencetak kerupuk pangsit herbal. Produksi mitra semakin baik dan penghasilan mitra juga semakin meningkat. Kata Kunci : Home Industri, Kerupuk, Pangsit, Herbal  Abstract The purpose of this activity is the development of processing business through dumpling crackers. Activities are conducted from April to November 2016. The method of activity implementation is education, production training, business management training, machine use and mentoring. Partners of the activities of home industry Ofita and home industry Uci Snack in the city of Medan. The outcome target of this activity is to develop the business of mita through the manufacture of herbal dumpling crackers. The result of the activity obtained is that the partners have knowledge about the processing of herbal dumpling crackers, actively participating partners, skilled partners using herbal dumpling cracker tool. A case study approach within an action research framework incorporating qualitative and quantitative domains was adopted to explore the impact on Queensland farmers of a farm business management extension programme. Three new indices were developed to quantify changes perceived by participants. The first measure, the Bennett Change Index, provided statistically significant evidence that attitudinal and behavioural changes were more frequent in participants with less formal education, but also more frequent in participants who had high urbanisation and self-directed learning index scores. The other 2 new indices, Management Constructs Change and Management Objectives Change, provided evidence of statistically significant changes in participant beliefs about, and attitudes towards, farm business management. Although highly correlated with each other, these changes were unrelated statistically to any of 6 other commonly used biographical or psychometric indices employed; including level of formal education. It is concluded that these new measures, with context-relevant modifications, have potential as aids to programme impact evaluation in a range of agricultural and wider applications. They may provide insights into personal psychological issues that complement direct behavioural measures of change.

Peningkatan Manajemen Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM) Kursi Bambu merupakan Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) sekaligus menjadi tujuan dari kegiatan PKM ini. Berdasarkan survey dan anailisis, maka dapat diidentifikasi permasalahan sebagai berikut: 1) kurangnya pemahaman terhadap ilmu manajemen bisnis baik secara pengelolaan sumber daya manusia dan belum memiliki perencanaan strategic dalam mengembangkan bisnis; 2) terbatasnya pemasaran kursi bambu yang selama ini dilakukan secara konvensional; 3) minimnya kemampuan pelaku UMKM dalam menguasai pemanfaatan digital marketing untuk menyebarluaskan produk kursi bambu; 4) masyarakat memiliki keterbatasan dalam permodalan sehingga mengalami kesulitan untuk mengembangkan bisnis kursi bambu yang bervariasi, dan inovasi yang menarik sehingga mampu bersaing dan peningkatan pendapatan pengrajin; 5) terbatasnya alat membuat kerajinan bambu yang dimiliki  oleh kelompok  pengrajin   bambu tradisional; dan, 6) modal kelompok pengrajin bambu masih sangat kecil, pada umumnya perusahaan tersebut masih milik perorangan sehingga kekuatan modal sangat tergantung dari kondisi finansial keuangan pribadi.  Metode yang dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu: 1)tahap persiapan; 2) tahap pelaksanan; 3) monitoring; dan 4) evaluasi. Hasil dari PKM ini, UMKM mendapatkan pelatihan mengenai manajemen UMKM yang meliputi pelatihan peluang bisnis, SDM, dan manajemen pemasaran.Kata kunci: bambu, digital marketing, kursi, manajemenImprovement of Management of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) of the Bamboo Chair in Ciranjang VillageABSTRACTIncreasing Business Management Micro small and medium enterprises (UMKM) of Kursi Bambu is an activity of devotion to the community “Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat” PKM at once as an aim from this PKM activities. Based on Survey and analysis, it can be identified problems as follows: 1) lack of understanding to the business management either in human resources management and do not have strategic planning in developing business; 2) the limited marketing of Kursi Bambu is during this is  conventional; 3) the lack of UMKM doers skill in holding digital marketing utilization to overspread Kursi Bambu products; 4) the people have the limited in the capital so that find it difficult to develop the business are varied of Kursi Bambu; 5) the limited of bamboo craft maker is shared by a group of a traditional bamboo craftsman; 6) we got group capital of bamboo craftsman was very small, in general, the company is still owned by an individual capital so power depends on personal finances. The method in this devotion was done in several phases, 1) preparation phase; 2) actuating phase; 3) monitor phase; 5) evaluation. The results from this PKM that UMKM got the training about business management which covering business opportunity, human research management, and marketing management.Keywords: bamboo, digital marketing, chair, management
