The ability to think mathematically includes many mental activities which involve the workings of the brain. To describe students’ mathematical thinking ability, one of the efforts that can be done is to apply the mathematical problem-based learning model. It involves students to solve a problem through scientific method stages, so that students can learn the knowledge related to the problem and also have the ability to solve the problem. This study aims to describe students’ mathematical thinking ability through Mathematical Problem-Based Learning Model. This type of research is qualitative. The subjects of the study were senior high school students in the city of Parepare. The data collections were conducted by observing the learning process in class and giving the assignment/test to the students. The collected data were then analyzed qualitatively. Based on the results of research and discussion it is concluded that the students ability to think have sequences in the activities of mathematical thinking with the application of mathematical problems-based learning model. Therefore, the students’ mathematical thinking ability is described as follows: (1) identification stage of the problem, (2) the grouping stages, and (3) drawing conclusions.

Implementation of Curriculum 2013 requires students to learn actively, independently, and critical thinking. Critical thinking is an activity through thinking about ideas related to concepts or problems. The efforts to improve critical thinking skills of learners can be done by using the appropriate learning model. One of the learning models that can be used to improve the ability of critical thinking is a problem-based learning model. This type of research is quasi experiment with randomized control-group pretest posttest design. The sample of this research choosed by used purposive sampling method. Class VIII6 as experimental class and class VIII4 as control class. Data of this research result are quantitative data of critical thinking ability. Data were analyzed by using t test. The results showed that the mean difference of posttest value with pretest value of critical thinking ability of experimental class learners is higher than control class. Hypothesis testing with t-test obtained tcalculate=2,94>ttable= 1,67, then H1 accepted. Based on these results the authors conclude that the implementation of problem-based learning model has a positive effect on the ability to think critically learners on the material additives and addictive substances.

Problem Based Learning Model is an innovation in learning because in this model students' thinking ability is optimized through a systematic group or team work process, so that students can empower, sharpen, test, and develop their thinking ability on an ongoing basis. However, not all educators (teachers) understand the concept of the Problem Based Learning Model. The purpose of this research development is: 1) To determine the feasibility of learning model simplified problem based learning material Surah Al Fatihah and Al Ikhlas subjects Islamic Religious Education class IV SDN Kranggan 3 Kota Mojokerto according to Expert. 2) To know the feasibility of learning model simplified problem based learning material Surah Al Fatihah and Al Ikhlas subjects Islamic Religious Education fourth grade SDN Kranggan 3 City Mojokerto according to peers 3) To know the interest of learning model simplified problem based learning material Surah Al Fatihah and Al Ikhlas subjects Islamic Religious Education class IV SDN Kranggan 3 Kota Mojokerto according to student ratings. The selection and use of learning model based on simplified problem based learning can effectively streamline and streamline the implementation of learning. For that purpose, the learning model based on simplified problem based learning is absolutely necessary. Learning Products Islamic Education Learning model based learning simplified problem based learning has been refined based on analysis of test data. Based on the steps that have been implemented can be concluded as follows. 1) The learning model of simplified problem based learning of Surah Al Fatihah and Al Ikhlas subjects of Islamic Religious Education grade IV SDN Kranggan 3 Kota Mojokerto feasible according to Expert 2) Learning model of simplified problem based learning material Surah Al Fatihah and Al Ikhlas subjects Islamic Religious Education Class IV SDN Kranggan 3 Mojokerto city feasible according to peers 3) Learning model simplified problem based learning material Surah Al Fatihah and Al Ikhlas subjects Islamic Religious Education grade IV SDN Kranggan 3 Kota Mojokerto interesting according to student ratings

This study was conducted aimed at testing the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The subjects of this study were eighth grade students of Muhammadiyah Middle School Aimas, Sorong Regency. The research method used was quasi-experimental. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, tests and questionnaires. The test instrument consisted of learning outcomes tests and students' logical thinking abilities. Questionnaires here contain questionnaires for students' responses to PBL learning using the VR Math application. The results of the study concluded that the experimental class had been given a Problem Based Learning (PBL) model using the VR Math application. The results of the sample obtained the highest learning outcomes scores of learning outcomes 72 and low 56, and the highest logical thinking ability 12 and low scores. 6. The values obtained were analyzed using one mathematical software obtained (1) the significance of 0.447 <0.05 and t count <t table (-0.777 <1.740) so that H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected so PBL learning models using VR Math applications are not effectively reviewed from student learning outcomes. (2) the results of the effectiveness tests of logical thinking abilities obtained a significance of 0,000 <0,05 and t count <t table (-9,160 <1,740) so that the PBL learning model uses the VR Math application effectively in terms of students' logical thinking abilities (3) test significance results Trace Hotteling is obtained sig. 0,000 <0,05 so that the PBL learning model uses the VR Math application effectively in terms of learning outcomes and students' logical thinking abilities.

[Title: The Effect of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving Learning Model Toward Student Physics Science Learning Outcomes]. This research aims to know the effectiveness of the learning problem based learning model assisted work sheet for the critical thinking ability of physics students of grade X SMAN 1 Lingsar inacademics year 2016/2017. This was an experiments research that using design research Posttest-Only Control group Design. The population in this research were the whole grade X SMA Negeri 1 Lingsar in academics year 2016/2017. Sampling taken with using cluster random sampling technique with the students of class X. MIA. A as experiments class and grade X. MIA. D as controls class. Research hypothesis was analysis with the t-test for one party (the party right). Based on the hypothesis test results obtained tcount> ttable at significance level of 5%, then it can be inferred that the model of learning problem based learning assisted work sheet effective for critical thinking ability of physics students SMAN 1 Lingsar.

The aims of this study to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills through the application of learning model the Problem Based Learning in Biology subjects in class X SMA Negeri 1 Kluet Tengah. The subjects in this study were students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Kluet Tengah, with total of 31 students, with focus of this research critical thinking skills ability in Biology subjects. The research design used was classroom action research, which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. In the pre-cycle, the students 'critical thinking ability was 37.81% in the less critical category, since implementation of the first cycle the students' critical thinking ability became 51.80% with the fairly critical category. In cycle II, the average achievement of students' critical thinking skills has increased to 76.90% in the critical category. Thus the results of this study indicate that the application of learning model the Problem Based Learning can improve students' critical thinking skills in Biology subjects in Class X SMA Negeri 1 Kluet Tengah.
