80 emotionally disturbed and 80 neurologically impaired boys in a public school setting were matched for WISC Full Scale IQ and chronological age. An analysis was made of the Similarities subtest responses utilizing both the error-analysis method of Spence and the cognitive style procedure of Sigel for purposes of comparison. The Wilcoxon matched-pairs signed-ranks technique was used in analyzing the data. The results were as follows: (1) the error analysis approach provided the greater potential for differential diagnosis between the two groups under consideration; (2) use of the cognitive style scores permitted improved definition of the dynamic implications of the error-analysis categories, inadequate abstracting and narrative-descriptive responses; (3) diagnostic power was not increased when all responses as opposed to errors alone were considered.

This article discusses strategies professional school counselors can use to recognize and intervene with students who are presenting with signs of addictive behaviors. First, the authors present a definition of addictive behaviors. The authors then define and discuss the most common addictive behaviors impacting adolescents, with a special emphasis on gaming addiction. Finally, the article offers screening and intervention strategies that professional school counselors can use in the school setting.

This article deals with the legal regulation of the practices of the police as an entity responsible for preventing and combating corruption. The study shows that corruption is becoming increasingly widespread, creating major obstacles to the comprehensive development of the economy and national security of any state. The objectives of this study were to clarify the problematic aspects of the legal regulation of police practices as an entity responsible for preventing corruption, to identify positive international experience in this area and to clarify its implementability in Ukraine. The corruption perceptions index regression analysis method was applied in 12 different countries around the world for 2018 and 2019. On the basis of the analysis, the authors propose to amend Ukrainian legislation with regard to the definition of the legal status of police practices as an entity responsible for preventing and combating corruption at the level of Ukrainian legislation, detailing the powers of the National Police as a specially authorized entity in the field of preventing and combating corruption in the Ukrainian Law "On the National Police".

Research literature notes differently the time of the minority as compared to the time when the minor gives its assumed consent for sexual intercourse, in the latter case, the age in some jurisdictions being of 16 years old.( Taylor, Quayle,( 2003), : 3). At the international level, there was also the intention to change the biological age with the age that the minor seems to have, but the difficulties deriving from establishing an age that the minor has only apparently determined the maintenance of the chronological age as a criterion for establishing the minority, and implicitly, the existence of the crime. Particular attention is paid to adolescents, who are minors between the ages of 13 and 17. According to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (S.1), “child means any human being under the age of 18 (…).” However, the UN Convention leaves the states to determine alone the age of majority, which may be below or above the limit set by the Convention. That is why we find different ages worldwide for determining adulthood. In common language, the concepts of "pornography" and "obscenity" are substantially equal. However, pornography involving minors does not necessarily mean obscene behaviour, it can represent explicit, lewd or suggestive sexual behaviour Starting from the definition of the minor in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, we go beyond the multiple discussions in the research literature on the minority, the term "minor" being considered too imprecise, impliying both the criminal and civil minority. Criminologically speaking, the necessary distinction is made between child - adolescent - adult - elderly. So, both the child and adolescent are subsumed to the concept of minor. We also note that the minority can be a characteristic of the victim, but also of the offender.

Sea surface temperature (SST) is an important variable in oceanography. One of the SST data can be obtained from the Global Observation Mission-Climate (GCOM-C) satellite. Therefore, this data needs to be validated before being applied in various fields. This study aimed to validate SST data from the GCOM-C satellite in the Indonesian Seas. Validation was performed using the data of Multi-sensor Ultra-high Resolution sea surface temperature (MUR-SST) and in situ sea surface temperature Quality Monitor (iQuam). The data used are the daily GCOM-C SST dataset from January to December 2018, as well as the daily dataset from MUR-SST and iQuam in the same period. The validation process was carried out using the three-way error analysis method. The results showed that the accuracy of the GCOM-C SST was 0.37oC.

The relevance of the research is due to the growing interest in finding new approaches to describing the discursive personality in General and professional, in particular. The main goal of the research is to identify the features of cognitive style and determine its role in the formation of professional discursive personality of N. I. Novikov as a journalist. The research is carried out within the framework of cognitive-discursive and linguistic paradigms. As the main one, we use an interpretative analysis of the knowledge structures behind the language means of N. I. Novikov's discourse. The paper highlights and interprets the components of the cognitive style of N. I. Novikov's discursive personality in correlation with his language consciousness. The methods of perception of the world by N. I. Novikov's discursive personality, the peculiarities of representation of the world's realities in discourse, and the manner of transmitting information about the world are determined. Personal preferences of a discursive person, as well as cognitive, semiological and motivational ones are revealed. It is proved that the features of N. I. Novikov's professional discursive personality are determined by the specifics of his cognitive style, objectified by cognitive and linguistic mechanisms of discursive activity. A definition of the concept of "cognitive style" is proposed. The components of cognitive style are interpreted as an element of theory for the analysis of a discursive personality. The role of cognitive style in the formation of a professional discursive personality of a journalist of the 18th century is determined.
