<p><em>Balinese was one of the local languages that needed to be preserved. To preserve them requires the planting of understanding that starts with children. The Balinese language lesson got into the local content, so the Balinese study was short. Given matter does not fit the field of possession. The Balinese textbook was also very scant, and the teacher was a class teacher rather than a field teacher. It is to be the student of sd Bestala. Students in the possession of language materials, the characters and literature of Bali are not at maximum. On the basis of this, the Bali language education program with the Balinese learning group provides an additional Balinese lesson outside school hours. In general, the aim of the study is to learn Balinese will be able to improve the Balinese ability of Bestala elementary students, silirite district, buleleng district. Specifically assessed: 1. The upgrade of the grade school student Balinese language skills at Bestala village, 2. The process of learning Balinese in meningthe Balinese language skills at Bestala village, and 3. The implication of the Balinese skills on elementary students in Bestala village. As for the theories used in this study are structural functional theories, constructive theories and behavioristic.</em></p>

There are many problems in translation. This study aims to find out what are the difficulties and factors that cause difficulties experienced by alumni of Japanese Language Education program UNNES from the class of 2005 to 2014 who have professions as translators, both interpreters and translators. The data collection method used in this study is the questionnaire method. The questionnaire used was in the form of a closed questionnaire and 1 item was an open questionnaire. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that most alumni have difficulties when translating. The difficulties that most translators experience are knowledge in specific fields, types of texts, methods and techniques of translation, understanding inter-paragraph relationships and mastery of vocabulary. Then, the causal factors such as lack of motivation, confidence, provision of knowledge about translation, finding out your own theory without knowing its validity, lack of interaction with native speakers, and lack of language skills.

AbstractThe objective of this paper is to develop an simulation model able to test different language education orientations and their consequences for the EU population in terms of linguistic disenfranchisement, that is, the inability of citizens to understand EU documents and parliamentary discussions should their native language(s) no longer be official. I will focus on the impact of linguistic distance and language learning. Ideally, this model would be a tool to help EU policy makers make informed decisions about language practices and education policies, taking into account their consequences in terms of diversity and linguistic disenfranchisement. The model can be used to force agents to make certain choices in terms of language skills acquisition. The user can then go on to compare different scenarios in which language skills are acquired according to different rationales. The idea is that, by forcing agents to adopt certain language learning strategies, the model user can simulate policies promoting the acquisition of language skills and get an idea of their impact. In this way, the model allows not only to sketch various scenarios of the evolution of language skills among EU citizens, but also to estimate the level of disenfranchisement in each of these scenarios.

Early back care has become the preventive strategy to mitigate bad postural habits and musculoskeletal alterations that trigger inadequate postural patterns in the body schema. The objective was to determine the knowledge and practice of back care in first-grade school children after applying an educational intervention for back care. Quasi-experimental study with pre-test and post-tests in a sample of 71 first grade school students. Knowledge and practices for back care were evaluated before and after of the intervention. During 5 weeks, a program of education for back care was developed in the intervention group, formed by concepts about anatomy, physiology, alterations of the spine, adoption of appropriate postures and movements in school life and the execution of adequate movements learned. Simultaneously, physical exercises based on aerobic work, strengthening and stretching the back muscles were carried out with the children in the control group. A linear regression model and a two-level hierarchical model were applied to estimate the effect of the intervention. After the execution of the back care education program, a better score was found in the knowledge and practice questionnaire, which was different between the intervention group and the control group (1.72 95% CI 1.21-2.24). The development of an education program generated a change in the score of the questionnaire on knowledge of back care in the intervnetion group, which suggests the implementation of these strategies in the school context during early childhood, contributing to the prevention of back disorders and deficiencies

The background of this research is that the emergence of the revitalization of education become the talk very interesting and crucial entered the times of the ASEAN Economic Community (MEA) recently. Seeing the condition of a nation that increasingly worse with a variety of educational failure phenomena occurring generation of people. At the regional level (ASEAN), Arabic is the language of the second alternative communication after the Malay language. Since Arabic is the language of the religious culture of the Islamic community of Malay and Arabic language turns more dominant than in English. This is because the majority of the people of ASEAN are Muslims who think that the Arabic language is flexible, open and elastic in answering the challenges of globalization and cultural transformation. State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Tulungagung is one of the universities which have policies, matakuliah, environment and curriculum that supports the education of Arabic-based life skill education in the ASEAN Economic Community mengahadapi (MEA). The method used in this research are : the type of research is qualitative descriptive. Methods of data collection are observation, interview, documentation. Methods of data analysis are reduction, data display and then drawing conclusions / verification.The results of this research are : 1) the revitalization of the Arabic language education based life skills education at State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Tulungagung in the ASEAN Economic Community (MEA) is conducted by: a) To formulate vision and mission that suppor Competence Life Skills Arabic, b) Develop curriculum a greater emphasis on deepening the Arabic language skills competence, c) Establishing Bi'ah Lughawiyah Arabic language in Campus and Ma'had, d) Create a special program of learning the Arabic language, e) Mastery learning strategies and Arabic language skills, f) Lecturer Professional and have optimum competence, g) Provide additional extra-based Life Skills, and h) To sharpen the practical and Delivers Native speakers. 2) The implications of life skill education to the Arabic language education at State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Tulungagung for facing the ASEAN Economic Community, the following: a) Linking the use of language in context, b) Lecturer more frequent use of the media, c) Institutions must make improvements in particular, d) Optimization Arabic Education management, and e) Overcoming the obstacles faced.

One of the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world of education is the implementation of online learning. Almost all teaching/learning activities must be changed and adjusted with the virtual classes. One among other activities commonly done in an English language education program is group work or collaborative work between or among students. Due to the pandemic situation, this particular activity should also be done online. This study aims to describe freshmen’s perspectives on collaborative work done in a Procedural Writing class. The teacher of the writing class randomly paired the students to work collaboratively. There is only one research question in this study: What challenges do Procedural Writing students experience in doing collaborative learning during the pandemic COVID 19? Data were derived from reflections that fourteen (14) Procedural Writing students at an English Language Education Program (ELEP), UKSW, Indonesia, wrote in the sixth week of Semester II/ 2020-2021 academic year, and from interviews with two participants who said that they were not happy with collaborative learning. Findings showed that in general, the freshmen felt that collaborative work helped them write better, they got more ideas, helped in their grammar, and exchanged knowledge. Only two students felt unhappy due to misunderstanding and ideas which were not delivered successfully. This study will hopefully be useful for writing teachers, practitioners in education, as well as students so that they will have a wider horizon of what writing students feel and experience in collaborative learning during this pandemic era.

 In French language, articles play an important role and one of the basic French skills is mastery of article usage. The objective of this study is to describe students’  performance and mastery of French articles. The research used descriptive research method. Data of the study were obtained by giving written tests of French language articles to French Language Education Program students enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year. The research instrument consisted of questions in the form of loose questions and questions in the form of text / short discourse. Data analysis used descriptive statistics analysis. Study result shows that students’ mastery of French article is quite low (Mean=48.28). However, there is difference in performance of each article type. Mastery of definite article is the highest (Mean=60.78)Keywords: definite article; indefinite article; partitive article; performance; mastery
