Introduction. Employees of Emercom of Russia often participate in extreme tourism during their vacations, which helps to maintain their professional physical fitness. They are also attracted to help tourist groups that find themselves in a difficult situation in nature in a particular destination. Participation in extreme tourism is associated with the risk of injury. A general approach to the assessment of the impact of the management of the safety of tourist services in the instances associated with extreme tourism on insurance risks is presented. The purpose of the article is to create models for assessing the risks of extreme recreation. To do this, it is necessary to analyze the routes of extreme recreation in destinations from a mathematical point of view, and, based on this, to propose a number of management measures related, among other things, to insurance. Research methods are based on the use of the theory of discrete mathematics in the construction of a weighted graph describing the risks on the routes of tourists. The model allows us to quantify the risks on individual routes and, therefore, to build a target criterion for supporting the management of the safety of services in extreme tourism in a particular destination. Results and discussion. Building a graph of the route of a tourist group allows you to identify the least dangerous routes of tourist groups. This approach allows insurance companies to solve the problem of calculating the optimal and adequate amount of payments in the event of an insured event, as well as to reduce uncertainty in the actions of rescue units of Emercom of Russia. Conclusions. The methods of managing the safety of providing tourist services presented in the article reduce the probability of an insured event. Key words: insurance risk assessment, management of tourist services, tourist safety, security methods.

Growth of volume in crediting to individuals in the Russian Federation during 2008-2018 and problems of debt maintenance have actualized the need of studying changes in the sphere of Russian crediting culture. The aim of the paper is to study credit attitude of modern student youth. At the first stage of the study the authors analyzed the correlation between key options: "credit culture", "credit attitude", "credit behavior", "financial culture", "financial attitude", "financial behavior". The investigators carried out the review of foreign and Russian research works aimed at studying the credit culture and credit behavior of students. They revealed features of foreign studies of credit culture / behavior, on this basis they conclude that this subject is poorly developed in Russia not only by individual socio-demographic groups, but also by the population generally. The working hypothesis of the research has been put forward: it is the change in the credit attitude of young people who do not have their own credit experience, which is the evidence of serious changes in the credit culture. At the second stage, the pilot study "Credit behavior of the population" (December 2017 -January 2018, Volgograd, accidental sampling (n = 404), the sample representation task was not set, the method of collecting information: on-line questioning) has been implemented. The results of the study let the authors to describe the credit culture of Volgograd Universities' students. The strong savings orientation among students has been defined. They are prone to saving money in a difficult situation and are ready to provide financial assistance, but they would not like to resort to it themselves in case of difficulties. Students realize the need of improving their level of financial literacy for building their own effective financial strategies. In the minds of students there is a necessity to correlate risk and result, but not all of them are ready to risk. Analysis of differences in the responses of full-time and extra-mural students has confirmed the working hypothesis. Credit attitude of students, in our point of view, testify the rootedness of the youth credit culture. The correlation between the results of estimating the impact of credit practice on credit culture and the modern scale of crediting to Russians makes it possible to hypothesize that there will be a strong transformation of the credit culture of Russians in the next 20 years. The authors plan to test this hypothesis in their further studies.

Risk assessment in large organizations with extensive operational domains has been a challenging issue. Employing an efficient method along with realistic pair comparisons, applying subjective inferences of organization experts, and purging the intrinsic ambiguity of inferences, are not reflected in current airlines' safety management. Traditional two-dimensional risk assessment for risk management of safety hazards, however, is no longer sufficient to comply with this complexity. A new model for risk management and a novel formula for risk index calculation, based on a fuzzy approach, are presented in this study. In this new model, unlike in the traditional approach, the latent aftermath of safety reports, especially those which affect the continuity of the business, is also taken into account. In this model, along with the definition of a new structure for risk management, risk analysis should be restructured. To that end, a two-dimensional classic risk formula was replaced with three-dimensional (nonlinear) exponential ones, considering “the impact on the business” as a source of risk and hazard. For measuring the safety risk using the Fuzzy hierarchical evaluation method, considering experts' opinions, three criteria in four different operational fields were developed. This method employs a Fuzzy ANP to help quantify judgments, make qualitative judgments in the traditional method, and weigh the priority of elements contributing to risk. Also, it provides a tool for top-level as well as expert level management to monitor safety more precisely, monitor the safety level within their departments or organizations, set quantitative safety goals and provide feedback for improvement as well as find the most critical areas with the least cost. In this study, an airline has been selected as a case study for the risk assessment of reports based on the new model.

The issues about legislation of safety management, as well as main techniques of "risk analysis and evaluation", are widely integrated in complex production environment. From an organizational and technological point of view, it’s not easy to implement these techniques in Small and Medium Enterprises. In fact, each technique does not permit a complete and exhaustive analysis and quantification of risks. Application of aforementioned methods does allow for achievement of a wide number of benefits. The aim of this paper is to critically analyse both analysis and risk assessment processes. In this paper, integration between System Dynamics and Layers of Protection Analysis technique is provided in order to enhance results of risk management. System Dynamics shows to be very effective in evaluating interaction effect of different incidental scenarios properly identified through risk analysis technique used. System Dynamics modelling permits simulation through changes in time and feedback mechanism. This approach has been validated via testing in a plastic molding plant with a scenario of risk of a massive fire.

Introduction. The human factor and the characteristics of construction and road machine operators, such as experience, work experience, professional skills, skill, etc., have a significant impact on the efficiency of equipment operation. The human factor, on average, is the cause of about a third of the failures of construction and road machines. One of the most effective ways out of this situation is to improve the machines from the point of view of ensuring the compatibility of the elements of the human-machine system. The article considers the issues of the engineering and psychological component of compatibility.Materials and methods. The method of analysis of hierarchies is used, when solving the problem of identifying the causes of operators’ errors and fuzzy logic, to build a model for assessing the impact of the human factor on the efficiency of construction and road machines.Results. As a result of a comprehensive assessment of the causes of errors, it was found that the largest combination of criteria is a group of errors associated with the peculiarities of the task being performed, as well as the properties of the information processed by a person. The developed model for assessing the influence of the human factor on the efficiency of machine operation uses risk as an output variable, and input variables a generalized indicator of the complexity of the algorithm and the level of qualification of the machine operator.Discussion and conclusions. The resulting model allows you to make a primary assessment of the impact of the human factor and maintenance and repair planning, as well as be used in personnel management processes, for example, in terms of sending personnel for training. Further improvement is seen in the development of neurofuzzy anfys models which provide a knowledge base for more effective risk assessment by specific precedents. The structure of the model in terms of input variables for a more correct risk assessment is also possible to be changed.

The article is aimed at assessing the impact of the Solvency II requirements on the Ukrainian insurance market and making a forecast of possible situations after the introduction of these requirements. To achieve the aim, the following tasks were set: to describe both the quantitative and the qualitative requirements of the Solvency II in the EU and the conditions for their use in the Ukrainian insurance market; to predict a possible change in the insurance market of Ukraine under the influence of the Solvency II quantitative requirements, which was performed as a result of the presented research. It is specified that the «novelty» envisaged by the Solvency II, which is related to the use of internal models, is an important step in the different sense of the assessment of the activities of insurance companies. This assessment is dominated not only by the quantitative parameters, but also by the problem of generally recognized risk, to which company is inclined and which is ready to take over. However, a significant number of aspects of this approach still need to be closer defined. The criteria related to the use of internal models for the needs of the supervisory authority have so far had the nature of the initial assumptions, and the experience of insurance companies (using internal models for their own needs, not the needs of the supervisory authority) concerns only a small percentage of companies. The internal model allows the insurance company to independently determine the actual demand for the required amount of guarantee capital. However, internal models include certain risks. The most important types of risks to consider in the internal models are grouped as follows: technical and insurance risk; risk associated with assets; operational risk and other types of risk. It is projected that the implementation of the project is likely to face many more unexpected problems, but the idea itself is interesting and understood by both insurance companies and regulatory authorities.

Purpose Self-harm is a cause of concern for health-care professionals. The Short-Term Assessment of Risk and Treatability (START) is a short-term assessment instrument used to rate the likelihood of risk behaviours, including self-harm. As result of the assessment, interventions that are implemented to reduce the risk of self-harm may reduce the strength of the predictive validity of a risk assessment tool. The aim of this study was explore the impact of risk management interventions on the capacity of START to predict self-harm. It was predicted that the interventions would weaken the ability of START to predict self-harm in patients who received the intervention. Design/methodology/approach Secondary analysis of routinely collected data in a large sample of women in an inpatient secure care setting. Demographic and clinical information, self-harm episodes, safety management interventions and START assessments were extracted and used to build an anonymous database. Findings START significantly predicted self-harm in those with and without the safety management intervention. However, the strength of the predictive validity was smaller in those who received the intervention compared to those without. Practical implications The results suggest that the implementation of safety management interventions needs to be taken into account when assessing future risk of self-harm. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this is the first study to explore the impact of safety management interventions on the predictive validity of START in a large sample of women.

Buddhism is not a new religion in Indonesia because it has existed in the country since 4th century A.C.. After that, due to the Islam domination in the country, Buddhism becomes minor religion and must seek its creative ways to maintain its existence in Indonesia. Buddhist women must be creative too when they face some Islamic concepts regarding women. It is because, many Islamic concepts have different point of view from Buddhism regarding women.Speaking about family and social life, women have pivotal role. Polygamy as the one of many issues that places women in difficult situation sounds very familiar for Indonesian people including Buddhists. This practice has happened in Indonesia in ancient time especially in the royal families. Now, the practice of polygamy flourished everywhere because it is justified and legal in Islam as majority belief in Indonesia, under certain circumstances. Actually, polygamy has also happened in the Buddhist society even during the Buddha’s time. It was shown in the story mentioned in the Dhammapada Aṭṭhakathā (Dh.A. I. 43.ff) about two wives who had endless hatred towards each other in many rebirths due to polygamy. Nevertheless, not like in Islam, it is not getting justification as practicable or recommendable even under certain circumstances. Speaking about family life, having one wife is more conducive for the betterment of spiritual and social life than having many wives. Even when having one wife, the training to not having sexual intercourse is recommendable in Buddhism four times a month during the uposatha day. “What is the impact of polygamy towards the life of Buddhist women in Indonesia?” and “how Buddhist women should lead the family life in the midst of polygamy practice for the betterment of society?” are the main issues of this article.

Every day insurance companies face a number of risks arising from the insurance industry itself, as well as risks arising from insurance company operations. In this constant fight against risks insurance companies use different models and methods that help them better understand, have a more comprehensive view of, and develop greater tolerance towards risks, in order to reduce their exposure to these risks. The model presented in this paper has been developed for implementation in insurance risk management directly related to insurance company risk, i.e. it is a model that can reliably determine the manner and intensity with which deviations in the initial insurance risk assessment affect insurance company operations, in the form of changes in operational risks and consequently in insurance companies? business strategies. Additionally we present the implementation of the model in the Serbian market for the period 2005-2010.

The term geo-sciences has been used here to include the disciplines geology, geophysics and geochemistry. However, in order to apply geophysics and geochemistry effectively one must begin with a geological model. Therefore, the science of geology should be used as the basis for lunar exploration. From an astronomical point of view, a lunar terrain heavily impacted with meteors appears the more reasonable; although from a geological standpoint, volcanism seems the more probable mechanism. A surface liberally marked with volcanic features has been advocated by such geologists as Bülow, Dana, Suess, von Wolff, Shaler, Spurr, and Kuno. In this paper, both the impact and volcanic hypotheses are considered in the application of the geo-sciences to manned lunar exploration. However, more emphasis is placed on the volcanic, or more correctly the defluidization, hypothesis to account for lunar surface features.

In this study, I have collected and summarized the functional aspects of a literary prize, contest, and rating, which indicate their affiliation with the marketing complex of the publishing house for the first time. For this purpose, I have analyzed and summarized the common concepts of the functioning of literary prizes and contests as advertising tools for publishing activity. Because the previous studies are only focused on the fact of the impact of the prize on the promotion of editions but do not explain it, these aspects have been considered and introduced by me from the book production’s point of view. I investigated that the prizes and the contests in the literary field are effective marketing tools, which meet many publisher’s needs at the same time and can be considered a non-profit form of capital. I have reviewed the works of other authors, who accept that the economic success of the book is rising if the author is a winner of the literary prize or contest. I have found out that the book prize activates the demand for the book, and the literary contest is a tool to track the reader’s reaction to a future publication. In this way, literary prizes and contests can be considered as a way of conducting a marketing dialogue with the target audience. I have focused on the information support of literary national and international prizes and contests by the media, which attracts attention to the book and forms the reader’s interest. The literary prizes and contests are also considered as a way of exploring trends and their changes, familiarization the popular genres among the target audience and fixation the current choice of modern readers. Literary prizes and contests motivate the authors to improve their literary excellence, are the source of new authors and works, and assist in increasing sales of books. However, further research is recommended.
Key words: book prize, book rating, literary contest, literary prize, functions of the literary prizes.
