The aim of the study was to find out the effect of using some conceptual change strategies in modifying the mathematical concepts of the tenth grade students in Kuwait. The descriptive study sample was composed of (326) students out of (2567) students and students in the tenth grade in Kuwait City. An experimental sample was chosen consisting of (4) people, two male and one female, experimental and two females, one female and the other experimental. The sample size reached (170) male and female students. The researcher has applied a diagnostic test for the errors of the experimental and experimental errors in the sample of the experimental study and using statistical treatments according to the Statistical Package for Social Science program. The study showed the effectiveness of the conceptual change strategies used by the researcher in modifying the mathematical concepts of the tenth grade students, The following results were found: There were statistically significant differences at the level of (α = 0.01) in the post-test between the mean scores of the control group (15.40) who studied the traditional method and the mean scores of the experimental group (15.35) who studied using the conceptual change strategies. A statistically significant difference was found at the level of α = 0.01 in the post-test between the mean scores of the control group (15.44) who studied the traditional method and the mean scores of the experimental group (15.37) who studied using the conceptual change strategies. Statistical differences were found at the level of (α = 0.01) in the post-test between the average scores of the students of the control group (15.37) who studied the traditional method, and the average scores of the experimental group (15.33) who studied using the strategies of conceptual change. In the light of the above findings, the researcher recommends using conceptual change strategies to modify alternative mathematical concepts.

This study is concerned with teaching vocabulary by using audiovisual media. The objectives of this final project are 1) to find out the students’ vocabulary taught without using audiovisual media, 2) to find out the students’ vocabulary taught using audiovisual media, 3) to find out significance difference between the students’ vocabularywho are taught by using audiovisual media and those taught without using audiovisual media. The population of this study is the tenth grade students of SMA N 1 Cepiring Kendal. The researcher takes two classes as the subject of thisresearch. The classes are X IIS 3 and XIIS 4. They are divided into experimental group (X IIS 3) and control group (X IIS 4). The researcher uses test to get the data. The test consists of two tests, they are pre-test and post-test. From the data analysis, the researcher obtains the mean score both the experimentaland control groups. The mean score of thepre-test in the experimental group is 56.71, while the mean score of the post-test in the experimental group is 75.42. The improvement in the experimental group is 18.42. The mean score of the pre-test in the control group is 52.85, while the mean score ofthe post-test in the control group is 61.00. The improvement in the control group is 8.15.The result of t-test is 8.01, while the value of t-table is 2.00. It means that the value of t-test is higher than t-table (8.01 > 2.00). From the data above, it can be concluded that there are significant difference between the students’ who are taught by using audiovisual media and taught without using audiovisual media. The data proves that it is affective to use audiovisual mediato increase students’ vocabulary ability.

This study focuses on the investigation of the influence of teacher’s teaching technique on student’s reading comprehension achievement using comic strips media. In this study, the writer used a quasi-experimental design. The population of this study is tenth-grade students of SMAN 1 Buay Madang Timurwith 122 students, meanwhile, the writer used purposive sampling as a method for taking a sample. Therefore, class X.MIA 2 was chosen as an experimental group that is taught reading comprehension using comic strips and class X.IIS 2 as a control group who were taught reading comprehension using conventional media. Moreover, the writer used multiple-choice descriptive text. Based on the finding, the mean score of the pre-test experimental group was 50.97 and the mean score of the post-test experimental group was 78.84. While the mean score of the pre-test control group was 38.40 and the post-test score was 43.07 and the result of analyzing the data using SPSS 16, P output was 0.000, It is less than the critical value significance level (0.05). It means that alternative hypotheses (Ha) is accepted and null hypotheses (Ho) is rejected. It can be concluded that there is any significance between the students who are taught by using comic strips media and the students who are taught by using conventional media.

The objective of this research was to find out whether or not it was significantly difference achievement between the tenth grade students of MA Negeri 1 (Model) Lubuklinggau who were taught speaking by using Hand and Glove Puppets and those who were not taught speaking by using Hand and Glove Puppets. The researcher used quasi-experimental research. The sample of this research was taken by using cluster random sampling with 30 students in the experimental group, and 30 students in the control group taken from two classes of the tenth grade students of MA Negeri 1 (Model) Lubuklinggau. Based on the result of the data analysis there were three major findings namely: (1) the students’ score in the pre-test, (2) the students’ score in the post-test, and (3) the result of paired T-Test calculation. The mean score in the pre-test of the Experimental group was 63.88 and the mean score in the pre-test of the Control group was 49.77. While, the mean score in the post-test of the Experimental group was 72.44 and the mean score in the post-test of the Control group was 56.21 The result of paired t-test calculation shows that tobtained was 7.70 in the pre-test of the experimental and control group and 8.91 in the post-test of the experimental and control group. It was higher than 2.045 as the critical value of the ttable of degree of freedom 29 with 0.05 significant level for two-tailed test. So, the null hypotheses was rejected and the alternative hypotheses was accepted. It meant that it was effective to teaching speaking by using Hand and Glove Puppets to the tenth grade students of MA Negeri 1 (Model) Lubuklinggau.

The objectives of this study were to find out: (1) whether or not there was a significant improvement in speaking skill of students who were exposed to chain storytelling and (2) whether or not there was a significant difference in speaking skill between students who were exposed to chain storytelling and those who were not. The sample of this study was 60 tenth grade students of SMA Srijaya Negara, which were divided into control and experimental group, and each group had 30 students. To collect the data, each group was assigned pretest and post test. The data analyses used paired sample t test and independent sample t test in SPSS. The result from paired sample t test showed that the mean difference in post test and pretest of experimental group was 16.000 at the significance level of p<0.05 and since t obtained was higher than t table (9.649>2.04523), H01 was rejected and there was a significant improvement in speaking skill of experimental group. The highest contribution was given by story elaboration aspect (content), and then followed by pronunciation, vocabulary, fluency and grammar. The result from independent sample t test showed that the mean difference between post test of experimental group and control group was 2.4000 at the significance level of p>0.05 with t obtained<t table (0.942<2.00171), since t obtained was lower than t table, H02 was accepted and there was no significant difference in speaking skill between students who were taught by using chain storytelling and those who were not. Nevertheless, the mean difference from the experimental group was higher than that of control group (16.600>7.133). Keywords: teaching speaking, chain storytelling

The objectives of this study are to find out whether split dictation technique is an effective technique to improve students’ listening skill and whether there is a significant difference between students who were taught by using split dictation and those who were taught by using a conventional method. This study is a quantitative research using quasy experimental as the method of collecting data. The subject of this research was 72 students of the tenth-grade students of SMA N 1 Sukorejo. In obtaining the data, the researcher conducted the pre-test, treatments, and the post-test. The results of this research showed that the mean score of the experimental group is 82,7 and the control group is 77,638. By using IBM SPSS 23th version program, the computation of the t-test which score of the sig (2 tailed) is (0.000) lower than (0.05), and the result of t-value (4.189) is higher than the t-table (1.994). In conclusion, there is a significant difference between the students’ listening test achievement. The students who were taught by using split dictation has higher achievement, this indicated that split dictation is effective enough to improve students’ listening achievement. This study aimed at investigating whether or not there was a significant effect of the implementation of Dictogloss technique upon listening comprehension of the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sukasada. The research was an experimental one with Post-test Only Control Group Design. The population was the tenth grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Sukasada. Cluster Random Sampling was assigned to select the sample of the study. The samples were 20 students at grade X3 for experimental group and 21 at grade X2 for control group. The experimental group was taught by using Dictogloss technique and the control group was taught by using conventional teaching technique. The data was analyzed by using T-test through SPSS program. The result of the data analysis showed that students in experimental group performed better than the students in control group. It was proven by the result of the descriptive statistics that showed the mean score of the experimental group was 81.40 while the mean score of the control group was 78.24. The result of the t-test also showed that the value of the tobs was higher than the tcv. The value of the tobs was 2.185 while the value of the tcv was 2.023. It can be concluded that there was a significant effect on students’ listening achievement that were taught by using Dictogloss technique than were taught by using conventional teaching technique.

The aim of this research was to know whether or not there was a significant effect of using Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) strategy on the tenth grade students at MA Unggulan Nuris Jember. The research design used was quasi experimental research specifically post test only non equivalent group design . The respondent of the research was chosen by using cluster random sampling by a lottery . The students of X IPA A as the experimental group and X PK B as the control group. The data was collected by interview, documentation and administering reading comprehension test. Then the data collected were analyzed by using independentt sample T-test . It was known that the mean score of the experimental group was 78.80 and the mean score of the control group was 73.73. In the output of the t-test column, it was shown that the significant value was 0.03. It was lower than 0.05. It means that the mean scores of the two classes (experimental and control groups) were different. Therefore, there was a difference between the experimental class and the control class. In conclusion, the use of Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) strategy was a significantly affected on the tenthgrade students’ reading comprehension achievement tat MA Unggulan Nuris Jember.   Keywords: reading comprehension achivement, DRTA strategy

The purpose of the study was to study the Effect of Web based instructions on achievement in Social Studies. The sample consisted of 100 students from Grade 8th of schools affiliated to C.B.S.E of Ferozepur and were randomly split into two groups-control (taught by traditional method) and experimental (taught by Web based instruction) groups. Firstly pre-test was administered on both the groups; then the students in the control group were taught by conventional method while experimental group was taught by Web based instructions. Then post-test was administrated on both the groups. The Statistical techniques were then employed to data collected and analysis and interpretation of the data was done. The result of the study implied that there exists significant difference in achievement in Social Studies based on Web based instructions and conventional method. The study also revealed that there exist significant gender differences in achievement in Social Studies with Web based instructions.


The purpose of the research was to investigatethe effect of activity-based games on the academic achievement of graduate-level pupils in social sciences.An experimental research design with a pre-and post-test control group was used in this study. As pre-test and post-test, MCQ achievement tests containing 70 items were used as research methods for data collecting. The initial stage in this initiative was to collect data on what inspires children to learn. Both groups took a pre-test, and the results were tallied.The project's second phase was to study the effects of variousactivities on academic achievement. Both groups were given an MCQ performance test. The T-test was used to analyze the data. The findings of this study demonstrated that, compared to the control group, mostpupils'marks improved in the experimental group. The mean value showedthat experimental group participants scored 18.77on the post-test, while control group students scored 16.21. According to a post-lesson poll, most students regarded activity-based games to be more engaging than lecture-based instruction.

The aim of this study was to know the effectiveness of the use of alphabet cards game as interesting tool to explain vocabularies and it make it easier to remember their meanings. This study belongs to the quasi experimental research and presents pre-test, post test and to investigate the effect of using alphabet cards game on vocabulary mastery of commercial business administration students. The participants were the students from commercial business administration students at the third semester (N=54) of State Polytechnic Bengkalis and divided into two groups. Both groups were taught vocabulary, however, the experimental group students who are exposed to alphabet cards game and the controlled group students who received conventional method. Pre-test and post-test were given to both experimental group students and controlled group students. The score of the vocabulary tests were compared through independent sample t-test. The mean value of pre-test of experimental class was 61.35, while the control class was 52.23. After learning using alphabet card games in experimental class the mean value obtained in post-test was 78.85, while in control class was 59.04.  The improved of learning outcomes can be seen from the level of significance was 0.000 and it was lower than t test 0.000<0.05.  It means that the hypothesis null is not accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that the score of the students in learning vocabulary between the experimental group and control group was significantly different. The experimental group students who learned vocabulary using alphabet cards game had increased their vocabulary mastery.
