Abstract This study aimed at determining the design stage of the augmented reality-based learning media for sensors and transducers course. This study employed the Research and Development method with the ADDIE model with the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This article focuses on the design stage during the process of media development. The developed learning media can be used among vocational students by visualizing the sensor and transducer components like in the real laboratory setting. The design of the developed learning media contained application storyboards and animation storyboards for practicing the six sensors. This augmented reality learning media is designed to support online learning and students’ autonomous learning in the practical course of sensors and transducers.

This study aims to describe the views of teachers and students in Islamic schools regarding Augmented Reality (AR) assisted learning to facilitate student involvement in learning, as well as increase teacher-student interactions in the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a mixed method with a qualitative-quantitative explanatory design. The data collection technique used a questionnaire involving 31 respondents, 3 teachers, and 3 students as resource persons in three Islamic high schools in Lampung Province. The results of the study show that AR-assisted methods have the potential to increase teacher-student interaction by implementing a Learning Management System (LMS) that suits their needs and learning facilities. The results also show that AR provides an effective learning experience, because it displays 3D images so that it is easily accepted by students and makes students interested in learning during online learning. Therefore, the use of AR in learning has the opportunity to increase learning interactions between teachers and students.

Augmented reality technology has been widely developed and implemented in an Android-based smartphone application. This technology can be used for entertainment and education. Unfortunately, the use of education is still rare. This paper proposes an android application to introduce the types of land transportation based on augmented reality technology which is visualized in 3-dimensional (3D) form for education as well as entertainment. There are seven land transportation modes that are presented range from two wheels to four wheels, i.e. cars, ambulances, buses, motorbikes, taxis, trucks, and bicycles. Alpha testing has been carried out and shows the results that the application runs well following the expected function. This application can be delivered to the public, especially for the online learning of children in a pandemic situation. In addition, it helps parents to introduce several land transportation modes. With a 3D view, the introduction of types of land transportation is more interactive and realistic. Keywords: android, application, augmented reality, transportation

The world is being hit by a pandemic due to the COVID-19 virus outbreak. The changes brought by this virus are huge, one of which is school activities that are transformed into online learning. Online learning causes students to not do their own classroom learning. This causes students to become un familiar with their school properly, such as the layout of classrooms and school facilities. By using Augmented Reality the problem can be solved. Augmented Reality (AR) is the merging of real and virtual objects in a real environment with interactive results and presented in real time. AR can be used to modeling the entire shape of the school, making it easier for users to get information about the building from the school instead of walking manually. Users only need to install the app on their smarthphone and scan the specified QR code in order to be able to bring up the building object along with the information. The result of this research is an AR application which can provide information about the rooms and buildings at SDN 1 Padangsambian.

The global pandemic has forced schools across the globe to go to online learning environments. This chapter describes the potential of integrating augmented reality technologies into a virtual immersive workshop model of instruction. Effective utilization and integration of these immersive tools in the workshop model has the potential to develop learners' 21st century skills to be decision makers, problem solvers, lifelong learners, creators, innovators, and to think critically in solving problems.

The aim of this paper is a project which uses of Augmented Reality (AR) as a method for edutainment learning instrument to promote and encourage learning among students in this pandemic period. An AR application is developed together with a physical book called the Ocean’s Secret. This application projects animated 3D models of the sea animals as visualized in the printed book as the students or readers interact with the book. The book Ocean’s Secret offers facts about the ocean and marine animals along with fun quizzes, puzzles, coloring activities, as well as educational videos prompted by the AR objects. This book would be a good source as a learning tool during this last 2 years of the pandemic period. AROS application is evaluated via User Acceptance Test and an Observation Study. The findings show that the application has effectively aided online learning and make the learning environment more interesting and engaging. It is hoped that AR education books will assist online education in this pandemic period while at the same time offering students with the sense of excitement they desire.
