There is no doubt in this age the role of women in economic development is no longer doubted at present and in fact able to match the capabilities of men. The involvement of women in the effort to provide their contributions and services to the country is not a small sacrifice. There are many things that they need to manage and at the same time balance their career as well as their family lives. This can be seen through the economic development they have achieved particularly in producing the kuron, a Sabah traditional pottery. This type of traditional pottery is usually made by women who are creative in conveying their ideas from a technical point of view, design and unique motifs. The purpose of this research is to highlight the skills and abilities of women as icons in the production of traditional pottery crafts. The researchers look at the women icon in detail using the feminist idea introduced by June Hannam (2007) that emphasizes on the current competitiveness and position of women in improving economic development. The aesthetic elements found in the production of this traditional pottery can not only explain its cultural value but also showcases the functional utility and the important role it plays in developing the economy of kuron pottery in Sabah. This can become a source of income and contribute in generating the country’s economy.

Currently, many are the phenomena that occur around intangible cultural heritage (ICH), related to its politics and legacy. With a critical analysis perspective, this article aims to describe the processes of patrimonialisation, commodification, and touristification of ICH, especially of the Guatemalan Mayan fabrics. The ongoing movement of Guatemalan weavers to protect and vindicate the cultural value of this art brings to light the role of different actors that intervene in intangible cultural heritage and, of greater relevance, indigenous communities. The following analysis framework on the diverse conceptualisations of heritage, authenticity, commodification and touristification allows for a deeper understanding of the Mayan weavers’ situation. The methodology used in this article consists on a case study, through which the following main conclusions arise: the lack of protection of ICH of this case study given the complex definitions and categorisations; the need to identify the consequences of commodification and touristification of ancestral tapestries, highlighting the importance of tourism management from the communities; and, finally, the key role of women as transmitters and protectors of ICH, who have headed a process of movement and empowerment.

This study aims to analyze the role of women in development and the causality between regional economic fundamentals and the role of women at Central Java. It uses district level data and supplied by the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics during 2001- 2009. The tools of analysis Granger Causality Test. The results of the analysis of the role of women in development is still low, from education, health, women's role and potential of public sector point of view. The Granger Causality tests results shows that a direct relationship between women's role in regional development with economic fundamentals, that also the role of women in development increased, causing increased local economic fundamentals. In this study there is no reciprocal relationship between economic fundamentals and the role of women.

Previously, women have played an important role in the development of Sufism. Sufi tradition recognizes the unity of being, regardless of the gender duality of the world. The recognition of this doctrine contributed to the spiritual development of women in Sufism. Sufi women play an important role in tariqah. The study of the female Sufi experience, as well as the influence that women had on the Sufi worldview and Sufi practice, is not only valuable from a cultural and historical point of view, but also helps to better understand the place and role of women in Muslim society. In this regard, the article is devoted to the role of women in modern Sufi groups in the world and in Kazakhstan. Famous women-Sufis in history, modern female Sufi organizations in the world and participation of women in modern Kazakhstani tariqas will be considered. The aim is to examine Sufi organizations through the prism of female actors. The materials of the article are based on data from open information and academic sources. Also on field research of Sufi groups in Kazakhstan and Turkey from 2016 to the current period.

In recent years, Hungary has frequently declared its special position on various issues, which differs from the point of view represented by Brussels. Brussels has, in return, criticized the Hungarian administration for restricting political rights, the growing role of state in the country's social and economic development, its persistent refusal to accept compulsory migrant quotas, its confrontation with Ukraine, and even its alleged anti-Semitism. The disaffection of Brussels with Hungarian Government policies was reflected in the Sargentini Report, which led to the threat of launching a procedure under Article 7 of the Treaty of Lisbon, which would have potentially suspended Hungary's voting rights in the EU and cut off its EU funding. Despite the existing divisions, Hungary values its EU and NATO memberships, as well as the improvements in relations with the US, although it still strives for independence while standing up for its own sovereignty. One of the tools of Hungarian foreign policy is the turn to the East, first and foremost to China and Russia, that allows Hungary to maneuver in a more effective way between the contemporary centers of power.
