This paper deals with medical examination of employee´s ability to work. Although from a legislative-technical point of view, this regulation is considered to be successful, in practice it causes major problems in the area of assessment care, which is evidenced in particular by case law. Referencing to practice, we can state that the idea of the occupational health services provider as professional assistant of the employer in providing for the protection of employees’ occupational health has not taken hold at all. Employers justifiably ask why they should pay for a medical report giving them no legal certainty.

A highway toll project is an urgent need in this modernization era, especially in our country, which currently has a population of around 250 million people. From the population that has been increasing, In the current era the need for transportation is also growing rapidly, Therefore, a safe and comfortable transportation is needed. Relationship with the occurred of soft soil in the STA. 18 + 000 to STA. 20 + 300, the authors need to provide an analyzing way of handling the soft soil in order to meet the criteria for the settlement criteria. Meanwhile, the purpose of making analysis soft soil improvement using minipile is to find out a technical point still meets the requirements stated in the design criteria. To achieve this goal, analysis of the soft soil improvement in carrying out the analysis and calculations was taken from the results analysis of the N-SPT value and laboratory testing material from the soil investigation of the borehole. The calculation results obtained are in the soil improvement methods at the location which was originally using a minipile it can reduce settlement value < 20 mm/years, safety factor in earthquake condition > 1.10 and time schedule for implementation pilling work on site 1 month faster than the time required when using another methods for each location that has of soft soil content, especially in the section STA. 18 + 000 to STA. 20 + 300.

AbstractThe use of deep learning in medical imaging has increased rapidly over the past few years, finding applications throughout the entire radiology pipeline, from improved scanner performance to automatic disease detection and diagnosis. These advancements have resulted in a wide variety of deep learning approaches being developed, solving unique challenges for various imaging modalities. This paper provides a review on these developments from a technical point of view, categorizing the different methodologies and summarizing their implementation. We provide an introduction to the design of neural networks and their training procedure, after which we take an extended look at their uses in medical imaging. We cover the different sections of the radiology pipeline, highlighting some influential works and discussing the merits and limitations of deep learning approaches compared to other traditional methods. As such, this review is intended to provide a broad yet concise overview for the interested reader, facilitating adoption and interdisciplinary research of deep learning in the field of medical imaging.

Mural cycles in the churches of Plešivec, Čhyžné, and Štitnik from around 1400 were studied from the material and technical point of view. Stylistically, they show a mixture of Northern and Southern European stylistic currents, which were characteristic for the time around 1400 in East Central Europe. After a precise study in situ, an analysis of extracted samples was conducted by OM, SEM-EDX, and XRD. The plasters used for these murals were all made of lime and sand with different impurities; importantly, they different among each other in terms of their quality and stability. The pigments that were used in these murals were natural and organic: lime white, yellow and red earths, malachite, and azurite were identified, and some pigment degradations were also pointed out. The principal technique is a fresco, but all murals were finished a secco in different proportions, using an organic binder. Painting procedures and modelling were also studied, revealing a strong difference among all three cycles. The painting technique does not always correspond to the style.

Social media is becoming one of the dominant ways to communicate. Before social media, people were extremely limited in their means to interact with others, and they were limited largely to the people that they knew in person. However, this impact on people in real life has damaged privacy. Alternative solutions have been proposed in order to overcome current social media issues. In this direction, blockchain is one of the most promising, and several blockchain-based social media have been proposed. In this paper, we analyze blockchain online social media from the technical point of view in order to understand the current trend of social DApps and to describe which characteristics are important in a blockchain-based social media scenario. We analyze real data by exploiting one of the most well-known DApps sites, and we compare current technologies in order to highlight which ones can be better applied to a real social scenario, such as Facebook.

Despite the large number of military uprisings that occurred in the Roman Empire, and especially in the Third Century, we know very little about how these conspiracies were prepared and executed on paper. Not counting the atypical case of Procopius, related in detail by Ammianus Marcellinus, the literary sources, already problematic and /or scarce in many cases, leave many gaps in the accounts of such processes, which recent historiography tries to fill with hypotheses. Without assessing the motivations of the phenomenon or the degree of responsibility of the different parties involved in the so-called usurpations, we offer an explanatory proposal from the merely technical point of view, that is, how a certain group of conspirators manages to devise, scheme and execute a plan or series of plans with the aim of attaining power through the support of certain military forces and overthrow, almost always assassinating, the reigning emperor.

This chapter is dedicated to the exploration of spectral music composition. It begins with a general introduction to fundamental aspects of spectral music-making. This discusses the role of metaphors in supporting the realisation of musical ideas, as well as concepts such as space, both physical and virtual. This is followed by a complete analysis of the processes in the composition of Mouvements, a piece of pure spectrally-oriented computer music. The discussion is fully illustrated with code examples taken from the composition, and spectrograms detailing important elements of the piece. The volume concludes with a summary of what the term spectrum signifies from both a musical and a technical point of view.

The goal of this article is to present the minimal time needed for the null controllability and finite-time stabilization of one-dimensional first-order 2×2 linear hyperbolic systems. The main technical point is to show that we cannot obtain a better time. The proof combines the backstepping method with the Titchmarsh convolution theorem.

Abstract. After a preface, we will first try to depict the history of the Geophysical Observatory in Sodankylä (SGO) by referring to the personalities who have run and have shaped the observatory. Thereafter, we describe the history from a technical point of view, i.e., what the measurements were, and which instruments were primarily used at the observatory. We will also refer to present operational forms and techniques. We start with the very first systematic meteorological and geophysical observations made in Finland and end by referring to the involvement in ongoing international scientific programs.

The onset of convection in a horizontal nanofluid layer of finite depth is a subject that can never be over-emphasized as it plays a significant role in controlling the transport phenomenon within a nanofluidic medium. This body of knowledge led to a doubtful report in 2014 by Nield and Kuznetsov concerning some obtained equations and established results. However, the accuracy of the thermal stability characteristics is strongly dependent on the used model as well as the employed methodological procedure. In this report, countable models are suggested as a better improvement of the aforementioned analysis. Either mathematical or technical point of view, it is worth concluding that the approximate analytical results elaborated by Nield and Kuznetsov can be improved properly by using the models presented herein.
